Marriner with a baffling ref performance. City had a shocking ref last week aswell but this time it went in their favour, swings and roundabouts.

Everton again though really poor.

City close the gap to 3 points.

Should have been 2 red cards.

Everton have been poor recently when i've seen them, hoping Barkley comes on second half.

Atmostphere/game is very flat so far.

Love this idea. I too find that finding, producing and developing players is my favourite aspect of FM so will enjoy following this.

Think he knew exactly what he was doing with the elbow/flailing arm. He knew exactly where Brown was.

Should be 2 good games today.

Clubs will upgrade facilities, but the country's youth rating, which affects newgen quality, will remain fixed.

Disappointing to hear that. Would have hoped that if a nations reputation improves then so would the newgen quality.

Rodgers said they were outstanding. Not sure if hes seriously deluded or trying to take pressure off the players.

Its a disappointing result but it doesn't change anything, we still would have had to beat Basel to go through even if we'd have won

Yeah I was saying this. When it went 2-2 the commentators were saying about they need to go for it but really they needed to just ensure it remained 2-2.

Would have been a massive boost though the win especially considering you were again poor.

I played with Midtjaylland on FM 2014 and he was class, not sure he was from South Sudan on it though.

Yeah really good winger especially in the Danish league.

De Sanctis mistake really. City still need 4 points from 2 games or else lose tonight and beat Roma by 3 goals in Rome.

I'd love to hear Mike Dean explain what he saw between Wilshire and Fellaini. Was literally staring right at it from 5 yards. Just because Fellaini hasn't rolled around pretending to be hurt he got away with it.
#220530 Majority of goals are rebounds?

Is it just me or are the majority of goals from rebounds? Either the keeper saves it, hits the woodwork or a defender blocks it and then the other player just has a tap in. I know they do happen, but in FM the majority of goals seem to be scored that way.

I'm still gutted about leaving Welbeck go tbh. RVP in decline and Falcao has injury problems.

Young coming on was crucial. Surprised to be saying that.

One of the most satisfying wins for a long time that due to the fact we didn't deserve it at all.

I often criticise Rooney but he did a great job on Arteta today and was very good. RVP is becoming a bit of a problem though.

Blind could be out for up to 6 months. Will know more in 10 days.

Di Maria and De Gea fit whilst Shaw is a doubt.

What really irks me is the ICCs longstanding stance on Associates which is stagnating the development of the game and lack of support for it in emerging markets such as America. As well as the lack of action against what is clearly becoming a ridiculous situation in regards to boundary and bat sizes and the no policy on DRS, at least chucking is getting sorted now; its 15 years too late, but at least its happened.

But again with regards to the chucking bans, how are no Indians getting called for it? Its clear that just before the world cup they are trying to weaken their opposition. No way should some of the Indian bowlers be getting away with it if you are clamping down on those from other nations. I agree the balance of bat v ball has gone too far in favour of batsmen. So maybe allowing extra margin of degree when bowling would benefit ball v bat, rather than just banning all the best spin bowlers. Fully agree with the Associates part aswell. Its all greed and selfishness, much like FIFA.

Well yeah, because it has the most money in the game and the largest interested following. Its not surprising really, and probably better than the days when the ICC was called the Imperial Cricket Board and run as the name implies.

My main annoyance is the way the money is distributed. The 'big 3' of India, Aus and England all get massive amount of money compared to the smaller nations. If it continues like so, will completely ruin cricket.

Defensively I used to concede most of the goals from free headers in the 6 yard box. I am going to just pack the 6 yard box now and see if I have any luck with that.

Ramirez was let go on loan to Hull. Which surprised me with it being a loan and as you've mentioned, they don't have a big squad.

The fact they're 7 points clear of 4th (and thats West Ham) and that Arsenal, Utd, Spurs, Liverpool, Everton all aren't exactly playing well would be why people think they can get top 4. Their fixtures next 2 months are really tough but if they keep playing how they have been and the other normal contenders do the same, they could well surprise a few.

Set your full backs to man mark their winger? Also have them close down often.
