St. Johnstone's badge on home is in same position as the away. And the colours of the badge are reversed on both and the third
And the cross on the saltire of the sponsor is white

The SI 3D kit slightly helps... but you'd rather see a proper picture than try and go off of designs and apparent 3D kits
As you said they have a training kit as seen below

Because they want to and they can.... some teams don't have sponsors on their default licensed kits depending on what their sponsor is....that and the quality sometimes isn't as good as what the kitmakers can produce

Not that I'm aware of mate. I deleted the 16-17 Premier League to League 2 folders before downloading the new ones (obviously creating new folders for them). Will delete and re-download.. see if that fixes it

It's due to teams having different kits for other competitions. If you have the in-game editor go to the opposing club's general screen and click edit kits on the editor and you'll see what I mean

If you have the Burnley third kit in the folder you can simply edit the config yourself to have the line: <record from="burnley_third" to="graphics/pictures/team/622/kit_textures/third"/>
Make sure you have the kit saved as burnley_third in the folder

Using Google Chrome on Windows 7. Only extensions I have running are Adblock, BetterTTV (Twitch addon) and Google Docs.
But like I said earlier, all other downloads go through fine for me without issue. I was even able to download the 9.01 update to the cut-out megapack but for whatever reason 9.02 gets to like 110-120 of 133 and just stops
