I'm correcting that in the update.
Should be somewhere next week out, want to add some things to the skin and fix some bugs people noticed.

This is a great looking skin but unfortunately it does not display correctly on the lower resolution screens.

I am using a resolution of 1600 x 900 & even after following your instructions & changing the panels to the smaller ones The left hand side panels in the match highlights screen still go off the side.
Changing the panel so the commentary displays is also pointless as this gets hidden behind the game time slider.

Some of the main screens do not display correctly either.
The Player profile screens do not show any of the information below the attributes. Some of the other screens team info screen etc. also have bits missing from the bottom.

I appreciate its only the 1st release & it really is great work & if it wasn't for these issues I would be using it but until the lower resolution issues are resolved I will be uninstalling it.

On a side note i also noticed that after loading up this skin my game speed slowed right down too. Never had that problem with the skins on FM13

I'm working on the speed issue currently, and I'm looking at making some adjustments for lower resolutions as well.
Appreciate your feedback and hope that within the next week or two I will be able to release an update that addresses these issues .

Great looking skin mate.Ive hit a problem though, Ive extracted the file to exactly where the instructions say and the folder is showing in my skins folder but it won't come up in the skins list on the preferences screen in the game.Any ideas?

Double check to see if the files are showing directly in the skins\cl2014 folder. The file cl2014.xml should be there.
If you have all files in skins\cl2014\cl2014 or when cl2014.xml is for some reason not in the indicated folder, the game won't be able to access the skin.

This sometimes happens if already a skins\cl2014 folder has been created, if you extract the files than to this folder , it will create another subfolder.

Hope this clarifies it ;-)

there are too many mistakes in this skin..during the match screen the panels are too large so we can't see them clearly and also the pictures of the players are very big..if you correct these mistakes, this skin can be the best skins of the fm14.

Sorry to say but there are NOT too many mistakes.
The first mistake you made is by not reading the release notes ;-)
As I mentioned my skin has been optimized for higher resolutions.

The screenshot you made is from the "match in between highlights panel".
I mentioned in the release notes that I added a "small" version of this panel in the "panels" folder of the skin to resolve this exact issue that could come up if someone uses a low(er) resultion.

Same with the "speaker bar" at the bottom, you are referring to the commentary bar and that I mentioned as well , I replaced it with the footer.
You can read this under "ATTENTION" in the release notes........... if you prefer to have the commentary bar, which you indicate , delete "footer.xml" from the panels folder; rename "footer.xml.alt" to "footer.xml" and reload the skin and you will have the bar instead of the footer.

The player pictures are at 180x180 which is desired by most people.

Both issues you mentioned are addressed in my release notes and a result of working with a lower resolution.

I guess release notes are like manuals.....LOL
They only get read when something is not working properly......;-)

Where i can find your's teams logo

The logos that you see are "ESS logos" originally made by Tom Dixon.
There are various versions (2 main versions now) and I prefer these over the newest ones.
You should be able to find them online.

Tom also created a template for Photoshop so you can create your own ESS logo from any existing one.
That is what I did with the Italian ones, I made them myself.

Because of the extra shadow and layer in the header, which make it shiny/glossy, the background logos are not showing.
So I had to choose between a nicer looking header or background logos .....

Now I think you know which option I preferred LOL

The “Champions League skin” is now back with a version adapted for FM 2014.

This is version 1.0 and I just finished it yesterday.

I didn't release my version for FM 2013 as I wanted to create a sidebar version, but that was unfortunately impossible.
The versions for FM 2011 and FM 2012 were mostly based on the classic Steklo X1 skin for FM 2011 made by Tom Dixon. The original header is still used in this version, but it looks very different now in FM 2014.

I added custom graphics as well as "Extended Information Panels” which I got to work with this skin. Adjustment of many standard panels were made, which resulted in bigger player pictures, mostly 180x180 size, bigger pitch in tactics screens and logo's.

MASSIVE recognition goes to "Bergkamp" from FMKorea.net. His creative work with panels is amazing and almost every skin that is released uses panels created by him.
In this skin I also implemented some graphics effects and panels from "Flut" for which I want to give recognition, especially the "ticket" in the match preview screen caught my eye and I think it makes the skin look even better.

I have included alternative personal profile panels created by Bergkamp.

The panels included in the skin are the one with Kevin Strootman.
If you prefer the Daniele de Rossi panels, unpack the file "alt. player profile panels.7z" in the "panels" folder and overwrite existing files when prompted.
After reloading the skin you will have changed the player profile panels.

This is a dark skin, optimized for high(er) resolutions, my computer has a resolution of 1920x1080. If you have run with a lower resolution some graphics like the "titlebar scoreboard" and "match in between highlights" might become too big.
I have included smaller versions of these graphical elements in the "panels" folder and named them "match titlebar.xml.small" and "match in between highlight panel.xml.small" so you can replace the original files with these when needed.
Navigate to the “cl2014\panels” folder, delete the original files and rename the "small" files by deleting ".small" from the name and reload the skin.

ATTENTION: There is also an alternative "footer.xml" available in the "......skins/cl2014/panels" folder.
Included in the skin is a "real" footer, as a sort of "retro" effect. The color changes with the color of the header and it adds something unique to the skin.
However, this element removes the "commentary bar" from the match screen. Again; this is a matter of preference, some users feel the commentary bar is annoying and takes away from a "real match experience", if this is you than all is good, no action required.
When you prefer to get the commentary bar in matches back, replace "footer.xml" in the panels folder of the skin with the original file, now named "footer.xml.alt".
After removing the file rename the "alt" file to "footer.xml" and reload the skin again.

Future versions will include:
a) an alternative full screen scoreboard
b) more 180x180 player faces in screens
c) an opacity/background selector
d) bug fixes (if any) and adjustments based on feedback from users

*****Please don't redistribute without my permission, either in original form or in a "tweaked" or "enhanced" version******

Installation instructions:
Extract the 7z file in x:\users\(your name)\My documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2014\skins\
If you don't have a "skins" folder you need to create one.
When you extract the 7z file it will automatically create a cl2014" folder, which contains the skin.
Make sure you untick "use skin cache" and reload the skin. Alternatively you can restart the game with "skin cache" unticked. This way not only the skin but also the included alternative graphics will be loaded correctly.
Notes:
If you like to use a different background, copy your favorite background picture to the folder: ".......\skins\cl2014\graphics\backgrounds".
Rename the picture to "default.jpg" and reload the skin.
Some people don't like the Jose Mourinho picture on the "intro screen", you either "love" or "hate" the guy......LOL
If you want to replace it, I have added a file in the folder ".......\skins\cl2014\graphics\main menu" called "manager.png.alt" You can delete the "manager.png" and either delete it or replace it with the alternative picture.
