A very pleasing month again! Only dropping 2 points and we played other two that make up the top 3! Strangely though in all 4 matches we played really poorly and really I could have ended up losing all 4 matches but we scored at the right times, Williams made some top saves also we defended quite well!



We started the month away at then 2nd placed Hartlepool and they gave us a very good game they were the better side throughout really but they couldn't finish off any of their chances! And Dummott got down the left hand side and crossed for Madden who took a tough around the keeper and their defender Burgess finished the chance for him!

Then we played 3rd placed Chesterfield and again 1st half they were the better team hitting the bar and Williams making some good saves but after half time we were much the better side and in the time between 45 and 60 we had alot of chances but when they didn't take theirs we took ours a big long throw by Obeng was missed at the near post and Greening right in front of the keeper tapped it in for his 1st goal for the club! They didn't create as much towards the end but on another day should have got at least a point!

Then we travelled to Accrington and bar the last 10 minutes we were hammered they were on a poor run of form losing their last 4 but it didn't look like it, they had a goal wrong disallowed for offside after just 10 minutes and they had numerous chances somehow we reached the break at 0-0! But they were soon ahead Tope Obadeyi scoring after 54 minutes he was brilliant all game for them. But another long throw by Obeng caused problems and their was a huge goalmouth scramble Bopp made a fantastic tackle on Mirfin but it broke for Howard who swept it in with his weaker right foot!

The final game of the month saw us play then 14th placed Portsmouth at home! They took a deserved lead on 28 minutes but it would have been comical for a neutral because Hanson for them ran through and then left the ball, Williams went to pick it up but Dummott took it off him he passed it to Obeng who smacked it off the back of Williams so it fell for Hanson to tap into an empty net. But just 2 minutes later we were back level Howard playing a great ball over to Greening and he finished really smashing into the net! In the 1st half they had 60% of the possession! But then just after half time Burton flicked on a long ball by McDermott and it should have been keepers all the Portsmouth players stopped but Howard beat the keeper to it and knocked it in to give us the lead! Howard had scored and assisted after that they turned on the pressure but we held on for all 3 points!




We take a 21 point lead at the top which is amazing the other teams are far to inconsistent makes for an interesting promotion and play off race! Torquay and Newport County still make up the bottom 2 and despite and increase in form for Newport they are still big favourites to go down!



2nd place again this month out of the 7 so far I have won 2 and come 2nd 3 times!

My player of the month this month is ..... Brian Howard he has been fantastic since coming in on loan makes alot of goals and scores a few too and has taken over as captain for most the games really pleased with how he has preformed!

Good signings mate!! Well done on getting rid of Zabret, how much did we get for Daehli? Every season I always think I am going to give Park a chance in the 1st team but every season we always have too many quality strikers so he ends up on loan ha ha.

Yeah I have for a bit too! At least now I hope I have found one if not two!

Also probably one or two of Periera,Fleck or Daehli could do with going! Very tough start to the season back to back away games with Hibernian and Celtic

Overall transfer activity for this season!

The wage budget is very good the transfer budget not so but it is probably because I spent £2.5 million on Campbell!

Awards Campbell does very well! We pick up a few awards too! Jones,Fleck and Campbell all get in the team of the year Jones for 2nd consecutive season! Rangers scoring all of the goals of the season one against us when watching it back it was because Zabret had a nightmare right at the start of the season.

Very good Budget!

As Westwood is getting on in terms of age and Zabret is prone to his dodgy moments I have signed this goalkeeper for just £9.25k from Ipswich! And hopefully he can establish himself as a number one keeper!



Also Matheson has signed he rejected Reading to join us so hopefully he is a hit! Milner and Traore have also left Milner for nothing but Traore to Danish side FC Nordsjaelland for 100k!

Amazing for us with the under 19s and we have qualified for the World cup



We started off by beating Moldova 2-1 they gave us a much better game than I thought we scored very early through Wardrop but they equalized but we went back ahead after an own goal off a corner they then had a player sent off but with 10 minutes to go they got a pen and I thought they were going to nick a draw but Gibson saved it

Then we played Switzerland and went behind early on and I really feared for our chances but Matheson who was only in the squad because one of our other strikers got injured had 2 chances and finished them both excellently to give us a 2-1 half time lead! And after half time it was very even and the next goal was all important McAllister our left back hoofed one forward from the half way line their defender and the keeper both left it and it bobbled all the way in!!

Our final game was against France they were ahead of us on goal difference so we had to win but I didn't have much faith. They could have been 2-0 up inside 10 minutes but they couldn't force in a goal mouth scramble and Gibson made another top save! And then to my shock Matheson scored a one on one and then a bit later Matheson then took it around the keeper and produced a good finish from a tight angle! He really has been great shame he plays for our big rivals Inverness Herron scored off a corner with 15 minutes to go and I thought we had sealed it! But they grabbed a goal with 10 minutes to go and a goal in injury time to make the scoreline more even but we have qualified



Here is Matheson and as he was so good Inverness have accepted a 100k bid from us for him so he may well be heading our way a few season out on loan and he should be ready!



Also Porteous was amazing at right back in that tournament he already plays for us and was very good on loan at Carlisle but with Casrosa going back have put him in the first team!

ha ha I know so many penalties all scored too both keepers scored went on for ever! Shame we were the ones to lose it

These were the line ups for the Scottish cup final against Celtic.






Well I am absolutely gutted to lose 15-14 on penalties is so disappointing all 10 outfield players and both goalkeepers all scored and we went round again both teams first 3 scored for them and then Vossen smashed one down the middle so Monge a sub stepped up again and tried to do the same but the keeper and saved it and after all that shootout I was gutted The game itself was a real thriller and we were well worth a draw taking the lead early on with a great counter attack Campbell feeding Ambrose and he finished expertly 1st time! But by half time they were 2-1 up Maguire off a corner and Redmond after a very good run and finish but just before the 70th minute Grimmer headed into his own net off a corner! But despite getting too pens we cruelly lost.

Great work mate fantastic points total! Going to be hard next season but you have showed you can more than compete after only losing to United on penalties! Also good amount of awards! On a side note Blackburn did quite well and Cairney and Conway got in the team of the year

Well I must admit this came as a real shock brilliant for Campbell, I doubt he will get into the squad when it is cut down but it would be amazing if he did! Just shows where form can get you I am glad I have already agreed a permanent deal for him! He has never played for England but has played 6 times for the under 21s scoring 2 goals

Our final game of the season was at home to Rangers and I decided to go with a young 2nd string line up with the cup final coming and because of the fact we have already won the league! I gave other players the chance:



And we won! We were very good just shaded possession they had some good chances though but Zabret in goal had no shots to save! Our goal was fantastic Pereira doing well in midfield and feeding Ambrose he could have easily have passed it through but from the edge of the area he curls an unstoppable effort into the far corner which I was delighted with! 3 players made debuts too and Mackay was our youngest ever player



Also here is the final league table Celtic finished the season really poorly and with nothing to play for and weakened side out they lost 1-0 at home to Aberdeen hopefully they take this poor form into the Scottish cup final! Falkirk and Hibernian also drew 1-1 both of them had a brilliant season! St Mirren are very unfortunate to be in the relegation play off place they scored alot of goals almost more than Celtic! And their striker Appleyard on loan from Newcastle was the top scorer in the league by a long way! But their defence was the worst and ultimately that cost them. Dundee United nearly went down that would have been a shock.



Richard Brittain had just retired and he wanted to become manager so after all the great service he did for us he accepted a reserves assistant manager post for his 1st step on the ladder!



I have decided to sign Campbell and Brogi on permanent deals Brogi has been brilliant on loan for a few years now and Campbell was 2nd top scorer in the league last season him and Watt should be amazing up front! Campbell has scored loads of goals in Scotland at various loan spells! Brogi cost just 30k and 9k a week in wages. Campbell cost £2.5 million and 16k a week in wages alot of money and he is easily our most expensive signing but I believe if he produces the same form next season it will be well worth it





Finally I now have 3 Scotland under 19 games to play its in a group and only the top team qualifies for the Under 19 championship , our group is very tough and Moldova is likely the only game we will win but we will give it our best shot!

That would be good yep! Campbell and Brogi are in the process of being signed!

Well their were 3 games left to play, so far I have played 2 this is how they went.



Well a draw and a win not bad but perhaps not enough. Against Falkirk we looked nervy and we dominated possession but didn't really create alot a draw was fair they had a goal disallowed for offside and Campbell did too. Then against Aberdeen we looked even more nervous and I was thinking we are going to throw this away as Pamic headed into his own net off a free kick after that he was swiftly released we only played because Blackett was suspended! But Campbell eased the nerves with a very good finish after a great ball through by Orbanovic! After that not alot was happening and we needed a win but off a corner James took it down and half volleyed it past the keeper at the near post!! After that they bombarded us with corners but we held firm to win



Celtic had 2 tough games and so it proved!! As they drew them both despite being the better team in both games they could only draw the rangers on a huge relief after we only drew and at the time when we were drawing with Aberdeen, Celtic were winning against hibs but Hibs got a late equalizer!

So all this means:



CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!! I am delighted we have finally done it with a game to spare as well we dropped points but so did Celtic and it gives us an 4 point lead which can't be beaten! Well done lads I am very happy!



We have now become and Icon at the club alongside Cooper,Irvine and Arthuro after his goals here! Brogi and Jones are favoured personal!



Despite our title win the players still voted for the Inverness manager as their manager of the year and we came 2nd for some reason our assistant was 3rd.

When looking through the under 19 fixtures it appears Jack played a friendly and we won an 88th minute winner too! He must have forgot to post it up. The striker who scored looks like a beast shame he plays for Rangers

Some great wins!! Good too see Ambrose scoring could this finally bet the year? I really hope so I am hoping I don't cock it up!

Not as good a month as usual especially at home. But due to other teams losing we increased our lead at the top!



We kicked off January with a home loss to Rochdale and we played awful and only managed one shot on target they definitely deserved to win 2 Scott Hogan goals sealed it for them and they could have got more, not alot to say about this game.

Then we played Bristol Rovers at home and we turned it around to win this one despite playing with 10 men for most of the game! Sam Winnall gave us the lead with a good finish but they quickly levelled when we couldn't clear a corner and Hewitt smashed it in but quickly after that it became 2-1 just 17 minutes in Paddy Madden tapping in from close range after good work by Winnall, on the 31st minute Obeng was sent off for 2 yellows they threatened a bit after that but we defended well to seal a good win!

Next was a tough away trip to Mansfield and we started very slowly and the 1st half we were very much 2nd best, they went ahead early through beevers whos shot went in off Slocombe but Slocombe did make some very good saves to keep us in the game, we equalized on the stroke of half time as McSheffery went through on goal but the keeper saved it their defender went down injured so they kicked the ball out we had the throw in and Obeng threw it back to their keeper but the keeper dropped it and Madden tapped it in to put us level at half time the second half was much more even Madden had a goal disallowed for offside on 75 minutes but not long after we won it Winnall got down the wing and cut it back for McSheffery whos shot was parried by the keeper but Burton was there to tap into an empty net

Then we played AFC Wimbledon at home and the whole game was an absolute disaster we were crap in this game the worst we have played all season by a long way they were 4-0 up at half time a few mistakes by Slocombe in what turned out to be his last game for us as he was released soon after and I brought in a new 2nd choice keeper he was only playing because Williams loan had ended I was in the process of signing him. The 1st goal coming off a free kick which we didn't deal well with at all and the 2nd goal didn't produce much better defending as Moore had time to hit the post and then tap in the rebound after that they played a big ball over the top and Sainte - Luce finishing well, at this point I was wondering what the hell was going on so I again changed to 5-3-2 but it had no effect and they scored almost straight away after a horrible mistake by Slocombe as Hogg played it back to him he left the ball and Midson tapped into an open goal in the second half we improved but the game was over Obeng scoring a long range strike a very good goal and his 1st for the club.

But from that game we travelled to Dagenham and Redbridge and well we showed that the Wimbledon game was a blip straight away as we smashed them there were alot of factors which saw the game go our way though firstly was the fact Williams was back in goal and he made some amazing saves, David Mirfin who also missed the last game so he came back in too! And they went with a very adventurous 3 up front! Donal McDermott put us ahead after just 6 minutes after smashing in when Hogg flicked on an Obeng long throw! Burton put us 2-0 up after he turned in a great ball by McDermott shortly after Williams had to make a superb triple save to keep our 2 goal advantage and then right on half time a big hoof ball forward meant a sprint race between Mirfin and their striker Murphy,Mirfin has never been the quickest and Murphy got their so Mirfin hacked him down for a clear penalty, Dickson stepped up fro them and it was poor penalty but I was delighted to see Williams save it low down to his right hand side! Brian Howard then scored his 1st goal for us with a really good 25 yard free kick into the top corner! And then Obeng found Burton in the box and he finished well past the keeper for his 2nd of the game. Brian Howard got his 2nd and our 5th when they presented the ball straight to him and he finished well! They did grab a consolation late on through the man who missed the penalty Dickson.

The final game of the month was Fleetwood at home they were top of the form table with 4 wins and a draw in their last 5 games so I was thinking this was going to be tough! So far Greening,Gabbidon and Odhiambo have all struggled so far since joining but today Odhiambo was fantastic setting up both the goals which again saw Burton score another two! The first a Odhiambo cross brilliantly between the 2 centre backs and Burton flicked it in! The 2nd goal in the middle of the park Odhiambo turned away from Steven Schumacher at pace and played a delightful ball through for Burton to score again when one on one! Just 3 minutes later John Parkin who started the game at centre back moved up front and a big goal kick was not headed despite Dummott,Mirfin and Syers trying to head it they all missed it and he slotted in after that they had one more big chance when Parkin smashed an effort which just went past the post! We had loads of chances to make it 3-1 but couldn't take any but overall I am happy




We now lead by 15 points so despite not a great month we extend our lead as the other teams are not consistent enough, the race for the play offs is very interesting 3rd to 7th are all on the same points and 3rd to 9th are separated by just 2 points! The bottom of the table is already nearly decided with Newport County and Torquay being fast cut adrift! My next game is Hartlepool away so I need to pick up a point their to keep the lead at 15 points



Not to do with us but a very impressive month by Wimbledon I think we stopped Fleetwood getting it!

Has joined on a 3 month loan deal and we are paying none of his wages he has done ok in the games he has played so far could have been slighty better but I am pleased to get him in as he has played a few times for Newcastle!



Brian Howard arrives on a loan from Birmingham until the end of the season and has looked very good so far scoring 2 goals and has also already captained the side he has a very good left foot, we are only paying 20% of his wages so £300 a week!



Ben Williams now joins after his loan spell such a great keeper and we look so much more solid with him between the sticks! Cost just 7k

My player of the month this month is Deon Burton started off very slowly but now he is keeping Paddy Madden out of the team and he is a great player up front getting even better at the age of 37!
