Erick Torres was openly chased by Manchester United and Fergie a few years ago and dubbed the new, 'Chicharito' when all things were Javier Hernandez rosy.
its faIr to say that things haven't gone amazingly well as expected IRL, as he didn't make it to Brazil in the summer, however, he has recently scored his first senior goal for Mexico.
in game, his stats shoot up and he quickly establishes himself as a full international with some quality poaching attributes. in 2018 he should be at the peak of his powers at around 25 years so I would say he is definitely worth the punt. how much are they asking?
speaking of cracking young Mexicans that shoot up in ability over the seasons, have you checked out Carlos Fierro? he becomes a beast.

yes I agree, dockal is a good prospect and he can be picked up relatively cheaply at around the £2m mark. if memory serves me correctly, he was labelled 'the Czech David Beckham' at one point in his career.
my only misgivings are that he isn't the quickest for a winger and a score of 12 for flair is a tad on the low side for me, but with plenty of playing time in game, his value will shoot up and he will easily increase his 9 caps.

£17m over 48 months...hhhmm...do people still use that old trick to affording players? IMO, yes the 'wonderkid' is worth a long term investment. he has been making waves at Porto IRL after surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo's youngest Portuguese ever to play in the champions league. he also scored on his first team debut.
he is blessed with some cracking stats at the beginning of the game and will make a good future international if you are playing a long term game.
back to your original query, it all depends on which team you are managing, finances, squad, etc. but £17m over 48 months is a pretty hefty commitment.

Also try employing more defensive coaches with high 'defending' scores and have them coaching 'defending' only. Set your team training to 'defending' and your match preparation training to 'defensive positioning'
check how much 'concentration' each defender has. if its very low consider replacing him.
I presume your game is fully patched to 15.2? The last couple of patches have supposedly decreased the amount of goals and chances created by wing play.

a great goalie is a must. who have you got?
as for the defence, just keep it simple and have the CD defend and the FB on auto. if you find this is leaking goals, set the FBs to 'defend'. I find an experienced central defender usually keeps things together at the back. preferably a captain type.
your two midfielders are the key here. I generally like a deep lying playmaker paired with a ball winner.
the wingers need to be quick with good crossing and your AMC needs to have plenty of flair and passing.
as for the striker, an advanced forward usually works best. nobody under 6'!
as for your instructions, I set mine to retain poss, exploit the flanks & play wider.
defensive wise I suggest you set instructions to, close down more, get stuck in and higher tempo. if you are totally struggling defence wise then set instructions to drop deeper.

Munir is absolute quality. he is deemed a 'wonderkid' and would probably work best as a trequartista or as a false nine due to his high flair. his buyout clause is definitely worth capitalising on (£10.25m). he would make an excellent backup/ rotation option due to his tender years however, with the right development and training he can become world class.
