Unfortunately, exactly what I predicted, has happened.
I've deleted the originals from the MP, and now have no face at all appearing in game for 7 of my first 11 for Wolves after downloading replacements and creating configs from the search tool.
Really annoying.
Any idea's ?

Okay I'll try that.
As I mentioned though, I've done that a few times in the past and I've been left with no face at all after deleting the one from the Megapack, and then not been able to get the new ones to work.
I'll see how this goes anyway ...

Cracked it.
One other question though, you know the Megapack Search Tool, when I get images from there now to replace ones I don't like from the megapack, and save them to a folder and use FM Graphics Configurator v1.2 to create a Config file, those images aren't appearing, or don't seem to be overwriting the image from the Megapack at least.
Do I need to delete the previous image from the Megapack to make the new ones work, because I had a few cases on fm13 where I did that that and was then left with no image for that player .
Any advice with this pal ?

Alright mate.
I've got Megapack 5.00 parts 1 - 14, then 0.1-0.5 of the changes + 6.04 changes (which I didn't have for fm13).
Computer > :E > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2014 > Graphics > Pictures ... is the layout of the files, and as I mentioned, the logo's and kits have worked fine which are in the same file layout (just in their respective folders)
Really am stuck, and its driving me mad !

I've just received my copy of 14 this morning as I was still playing 13 with all the updates etc .
I store all graphics and such on an external hard drive, always have done, without any problems, apart from today.
I tried to use my 13 face packs and they don't seem to work and have also deleted all the other faces in the game as well, e.g. league 1 players and Scottish leagues. Note, the kits and logos etc I have copied over have worked successfully. So what's the best way to get the old face packs from fm13 to work in this years copy ?

My computer has been low on memory for a couple of years, and was getting to the stage where FM was closing every so often because of it.
Anyway, fast-forward a couple of frustrating months, and in a last desperate bid I've moved the entire steam folder to my external hard drive (all 7gb) of it.
Steam and the game still loads up fine, however the very first time I hit the space bar to move to the next day once in game, I get a crash dump message and that's that, game over.
I've seen loads of the crash dump forums on other sites etc., and I don't understand ay of them (im not massively into all the techy stuff) but its doing my nut in now lads.
Sure someone must have some advice or help, please ??

Ive downloaded parts 1-6 so far, and after scrolling through them i think ive found about 4 people i recognise! Is this normal, hahaaa !!??
And also , do you need to do anything once the parts are downloaded? I loaded up FM and reloaded skin etc and i dont think the images were loaded , do you need to configure them or anything as i notice there are no config files in the folders.

Face packs and other graphics and stuff have destroyed the memory on my pc, I'm literally down to 900mb left, so I've purchased an external hard drive.
Is it possible to save a) the game & b) Face packs to external hard drives?
If it is, would someone be able to talk me through how to do it??

How exactly do you go about changing the user folder from within the preferences tab, ive had a quick look but i want to be 100% sure what im doing before i mess about with it because it could up up in me ruining the game and not being able to see any faces at all .. ?

Using the FM Graphics Configurator now. Tried dragging the full folder and it said only three were successful, loaded the game up and the three still dont show, unticked this and that as you suggested.
The majority i try to copy just come up with the error "invalid directory path" .
Whats going on in both cases ?
Ive got a folder in my documents, fm13, graphics, pictures ; called "plymouth wants" and saved them all in there, each called their unique i.d number. I just dont understand what im doing wrong ?
If you can sort me out you'll be a legend in my eyes !!

Ive downloaded fmXML from the link given, downloaded it to desktop, and it shows up as a zipped file. So i unzip it and click on the blue and orange FMXML icon like on the video, and i get the error : "the programme cant start because MFC70.DLL is missing from your computer.
Whats this about ?
Everything looks so easy when you lot do it but its a right pain in real life !

So just to clarify (im not very good with owt technical you see, can just about play the game!!)
I need to;
1) download the fmXML from the link given,
and then save the new images where ? I dont have the megapack you see so do they need to be saved in any particular folder once inside My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 201x/graphics ???

Sorry to start a new topic about this, feel free to move it or whatever ...
BUT, ive just created this account to ask this question. Ive started using the Megapack search tool to get the specific faces i want in my game. I made a big list, sat and downloaded them all, saved them into a file i created for them (ive downloaded hundereds of facepacks over the years so i know what im doing in that regard) , but the faces ive downloaded arent showing up in the game.
Any idea's why not? Im obviously doing something wrong !
