There isnt any exact dimensions. U just nd to resize it the size u want. I would recommend using a template to create a new custom kit as all the effects are there for u alr

When u use the template, the kits u r making are probably in the same PSD. There isnt any need to open a new PSD. U shld just leave the logo there
