After forming in 2009 the new boys in german football have had a meteoric rise in the ladder of the german leagues and have had 3 promotions in 5 years and never finished outside the top 4 in the divisions they have been in.The 2.Bundesliga will be they're biggest challenge yet and thats where I come in.I am going to attempt to take this Pretty much brand new club right to the top of world football and challenge domestically with the biggest clubs steeped in history before challenging the biggest clubs in world football.
With this club being new it was only fitting the manager was the same.I will have to do all my badges from scratch and also have very little experience in football.
No real background to the club but 2 trophies already.Every club had to start from somewhere and create they're own history and tradition.
Considering the age of the club Leipzig do boast some pretty impressive facilities.Junior coaching and youth recruitment will have to be made better in time but the training and youth facilities are very good.The stadium itself is very impressive and will hopefully be regularly full in the next few years.
The finances are very healthy.With Red bull not able to incorporate the brands name into the clubs name they took advantage of not only having naming rights to the stadium but also sponsoring the kit which will give the club 25m a season.For at least another year.We do have a decent sum on money to play with so I will be debating where that goes and hopefully be dishing it out in the right places.

Great way to end the season.Pashev once again on fire with 2 goals.scaddings breakthrough season rounded off with a goal and angel correas excellent debut season ends with another goal.
Very good season for us in the league.Once again I am still concerned with the amount we concede but we don't half score a lot.
Pashev head and shoulders above the rest.
Another award for pashev.
3rd year running I have won the manager of the year.
2nd time pashev has won the European golden boot.13 more goals then anyone else in they're domestic league.
Great to retain the champions league.It was a close match which could of gone either way but we got the all important only goal of the game.
Peter kleeman got 6 goals in the knockout stages from midfield and one got the goal of the tournament.He isn't about goals but he has been chipping in with a few more than the last few seasons.
No real surprise here.He has now won all the major awards in his short career.I really need to keep him and who knows maybe he can win as many as messi and Ronaldo.
Chelsea in the seasons curtain raiser.Looking forward to it.
Not as much as I am looking forward to this though.It will be my 1st time going head to head with real Madrid.
Got myself new contract.Still the media are pointing out that preston loss over 5 years ago.
No doubt about this one.Pashev has been fantastic.
Extra 10m a year through sponsorships.Happy with that.Strange seeing royo high up in the shirt sales as he has been out since very early in the season.The other 4 aren't a surprise in the slightest.
Not exactly over the moon with having to play our home games at the city of Manchester season.Will lose out on ticket sales (I think).Suppose its only for 1 season at least.

Very good start to the month that went bad at the end in terms of results.We dominated the first 2 matches against villa and wolves with our 2 argie superstars playing great in both of them before a 0-0 draw against rivals Chelsea.We really should of won that with the chances we had but they held on.Back to winning ways against Huddersfield with a great hatrick for damyan pashev.Really not sure what happened against Norwich.Just a poor performance from all areas of the team and they capitalized on the chances they got.Another poor defensive display against man utd with mistakes aplenty by our players.Ricardo correa never takes criticism or discipline well and so I think his time is up with us regardless of how good he is.He is prone to at least 1 costly mistake per month so he will probably be sold this summer.2 late goals won it for man utd.A very inconsistent month I think.
We have retained the month despite our terrible end to the month.As we lost to Norwich Chelsea lost at Huddersfield and we were champions again for the 3rd time in succession.
For the 2nd semi final this season Chelsea turned us over.Took them to extra time but they turned up the heat when we went down to 10 sue to an injury to diego villareal after we made all our subs.A horrible way to lose but that's football manager for you.
All the hardest work was done in the first leg but I was still nervous when Leverkusen went 2 up and then had they're 2nd disallowed goal of the match.We did manage to pull it back to 2-2 but a shakey performance on the night.
We dodged the 2 tough teams in the semi final but we have got previous with porto as they knocked us out at the quarter final stage back in the 18/19 season and still have duvan Zapata who is the top scorer in the champions league this season and always seems to do well against us.
Crazy match in the 1st leg.I went 2 up but still found ourselves 3-2 down with only 10 minutes to go before the in form peter kleeman got us back in front with 2 late goals.
Very happy with our 2nd leg performance in another crazy match.Ademilson was one to watch in this one with 2 good goals.Zivkovic and angel correa got the goals to send us through to the final for a 2nd successive year.Both barca and man utd will be tough opponents though.
And its man utd in the final.I am hoping we don't shit down and let them win like the league match this month.It has been a good run again this season but I think this is our toughest test in the champions league this season.

Very impressive month from the lads.Dominated all 3 games from start to finish and deserved all we got.Pashev again amongst the goals but most happy to see tomas Martinez performing well.He has had a quiet season compared to the last few but this month he was great.
As time goes by and with less and less games to lay it looks more and more likely of another title for us.Only Chelsea and man city can mathematically catch up now.
Not the high scoring wins of previous rounds but we got the job done.Decided to lay a stronger line up than I would of done but we had a week off afterwards.
Chelsea again in the semis.Going to be tough and I am hoping I can field a strong lineup if I don't have tough fixtures in and around the game.
Decided on an all out attack and mentality and I sure got one.Crushing match.They stood little chance in this one.
Good draw for us against Leverkusen.
Think its safe to say were going to be in the semis.Another great performance on the last day of the month.

Not too bad a month really.Great start against man utd.Always struggle against former players and it showed again in the next 2 matches as first cauley Woodrow scored and assisted against us then lukaku scored twice for city as we beat Swansea but lost at home to man city.Not happy one bit with the city result.Good recovery with a 2-1 in Southampton and smashed sunderland to end on a high.
A decent run in February bar the city game has now seen us rise to 7 points clear of 2nd place Chelsea though they're participation in the league cup final gives them a game in hand.
I have been very fortunate with the draws in the FA cup and managed to rest big players in all the games so far and the players coming in have performed very well.The same can be said in another great win.Scadding again on fire.
Another favourable draw this time to face Peterborough at home.Another chance to rest the most important players.
Our struggle against former players continued as suso ran the show for milan.A very frustrating match as when we went 1 up we should of ben able to hang on but we gifted them 3 goals.We now have a very hard game at home to overturn the defecit.An early goal is key I think and we will be going all out attack.

Not a bad month to be honest.Great start with the arsenal win.Very happy with the rest of the fixtures but for the forest result.
Only a point behind and 2 games in hand on Chelsea.Of course I do still have to win them but I have to be happy with that.
Rested a lot of key players so I am happy with this win.Scadding again doing well.
With me having a favourable draw in the FA cup I again got to rest players and play young/fringe players.Happy for bamba who I brought back from a loan spell.Scored in both FA cup games.
West ham or reading next for me.Whoever it is we play I will again be using the fringe/young players and I will fancy us to get through.
Good result at home.I would of preferred a clean sheet but got a win at least.
The home leg win didn't matter one bit.We were looking good to get through but fell asleep the last 15 minutes or so and ended up getting battered.The league cup is still the only trophy I haven't won.
Great link for us.Probably the biggest club in mexico.
Good signings for us.Cejas is a lb but is right footed and I am training him up to be a rb.Crowley just like odegaard with be a fringe player but I am happy with him for 5.75m.
Forgot to post the draw for the champions league in the last post.Happy to face milan.

Lost out in the top of the table clash with Chelsea but we battled hard and I cant fault my lads.Can see the gap between us has closed and we can match them easily and with their best players now in the 30s while ours are early to mid 20s I think we will be leaving them behind a bit unless they start stocking up on quality regens like I have.Back to winning ways against Newcastle with a solid 5-2 win.Zivkovic was on fire and showed he deserved his new contract of 140k a week.Another good win against Norwich next.No guessing who our star man was again.Pashev has to be one of the top strikers of the world now.He is in the running for world player of the year.
Leagues looking good for us to get on top providing we win our games in hand.A very busy January coming up so my squad will be stretched but I have one player in (screenshot to follow) and another couple of their way.I will also be calling back 1 or 2 from loans.I think it will be ours or chelseas trophy by the end of the season.
Though I rested the majority of my team we crushed arsenal in the league cup quarter final.Very happy with ray scadding lately and in this match he was immense.
Familiar foes in the semi final.Would of rather had any of the other teams but I like my chances against Chelsea.
A trip to meadow lane in the FA cup 3rd round.Lost against these on penalties in the early rounds of the league cup a few years back so I wont be taking nothing for granted.
Very good win in turkey and 3 points were needed if I was to stand any chance of topping the group.Scadding again in fine form.
Top spot is ours.While we won in turkey Monaco could only draw in Belgrade to ensure we were group winners.
To be honest I would of been disappointed if I didn't get at least 4 against the Iranians.Pahev with another 2 goals.
Was wary of boca but needn't be in the end.Great 6-1 win and another trophy for us.Highlight of the game was zivkovic with a 11 minute hatrick.
Another award for pashev.He really is a gem.
Very happy for lucky adisa.He has been pretty good for us and not surprised he got this.
Fantastic news for damyan pashev.His goals make such a big difference for us in all competitions.
Pleased to announce the transfer of martin odegaard from Chelsea.He wasn't getting game time hence his morale but here he will be.Very good player for the squad.

The Liverpool game was frustrating.Going 2 up I thought we could of walked it a bit but we let them back in with 2 quick goals before leon van putten was dismissed for what I can only describe as a stupid lunge on the halfway line with no danger whatsoever.We did well to go back in front but conceded through a poor error.Good result against palace but we did have to work for it.Angel correa was good in this one and his goal was a good one too.Wolves pushed us a lot more than I expected with david flitcroft mouthing off as he usually does to me.Good to put him in his place though but we could of drawn that but for a great block in the 93rd minute by Adrian rodriguez.Have a very important game at Stamford bridge coming up so pashev was rested and Jamie moore started and showed what he can do.Great hatrick from the young scot.
Top spot again but it could change if i lose by 2 or more at Chelsea at the start of December.Got the club world cup coming up which will tire my players out and stack up the fixture come January so I am thinking of throwing the arsenal game in the league cup.I have only just got the majority of the squad back and fit again and I don't want anything like that again.I thought I had a decent sized squad but am already thinking of how to make it bigger with decent quality at not much cost.
Great result in Belgrade.Pashev again was immense.
Not a good result in Monaco.Again we let a 2 goal lead slip this time losing 3-2.
Monaco move into top spot with 1 game to go.We have a home game against fenerbache while Monaco travel to Serbia.I think we will finish 2nd which isn't ideal.
