Neuer should do a lot, lot better there.

Pep has ruined this team though.

Ruined is going a bit far, considering they've won the Bundesliga in record breaking fashion.

Against a Dortmund side completely hamstrung by a litany of injuries to key players all season, and not a lot else.

Few Bayern fans that post on redcafe have been bemoaning how they've been progressively worse over the season as Guardiola's tactics have become more entrenched.

Shadow of the side they were last season, at any rate.

Partially due to a very weak Bundesliga, Dortmund have been shite

Caus he misses the final if he gets booked, and he's utterly braindead.

I would rather score 2 goals and play in the final than score a hat trick and then not

Still going far, far too overboard saying ruined. Especially when playing against a team which has arguably better players, and conceding 2 from set pieces, which could have happened to any team.

Haha, was just being sarcastic (hard to tell on a forum I know) but yeah, he should have been subbed.

Ok fine, he didn't 'ruin' them, but he took one of the most entertaining, lethal teams in the world in to a boring, ponderous side who are about as unwatchable as a Chelsea park the bus job.

They talk about Ferguson's biggest mistakes, but selling Ronaldo for £80m has to be one of them, absolute steal, worth so, so much more.

£80M, what a bargain.

Really enjoyed that.

If Madrid play like that in the final I can't see either of the other two semi finalists beating them.

After it's hayday of winning the WC and the Barca side which is probably the greatest club side of all time, it certainly is looking like it's struggling at the top level.

When you think of the players that go for £30-£40m that aren't even half his level its crazy, on for his 4th consecutive season scoring over 50 goals.

We were absolutely robbed.

It started getting incredibly stale after the WC. It became boring to watch and was more concerned with defence than attack. I thought I'd never see more of a tactically stubborn manager than Arsene but fuck me Pep takes the cake.

Bayern's defending was hilariously bad today. I'm glad it's finally come back to bite them though, any club that starts with Jerome Boateng doesn't deserve to win the Champions League.

I remember Zoli being vehemently against Modric. Absolutely class player these days.

Yeah but Zoli's an idiot.

What's next for Pep? With 0 goals in 180 minutes using his way of football against the first real test of the season. Surely this must be a wake up call that he has to adapt or die.

Guardiola's team in 2011 was beautiful to watch, now it's extremely boring. The definition of over playing.

Wake up and was not expecting to see such a hammering, makes me smile. Fuck off, Pep.

The final will be interesting either way I recon. Obviously a Madrid final would be huge, but a Chelsea v Madrid one would be interesting purely down to Carlo being ex-Chelsea and Mourinho ex-Madrid, and Mourinho having just left. Am getting a little nervous already for our game.

Or it could be Ronaldo vs Mourinho in the season that we lost the great Eusebio.

I don't get why Guardiola had to try and change the style of play for Bayern. Their style of play last season was good enough to thump the Barcelona tiki taka crap 7-0, but he still thinks the tiki taka is better. Makes no sense.

Maybe because the 'tiki taka crap' has seen Spain and Barça win 2 European Championships, a World Cup, 2 Champion's Leagues and a handful of other trophies?

Which doesn't mean that a) its good to watch or b) it has a future.

2 seasons in a row now a team attempting to play it has been torn to shreds in a Champions League semi final and basically every team in world football knows that you can sit off a team, give them no space in behind whatsoever and then hit them on the break with pace.

I think its done at the top level.
