Gloria al Sammarinese...and myself

Cheers mate!!! I want it so bad, that Serie B Money is making my eyes light up! We'll re-evaluate at the end of March and hope for that final April push for glory!

UGHHHHH. Very frustrating result. Should have killed Andorra in a friendly at home, but I was cocky and didn't play as strong of a side as I could/should have. Poor result in the grand scheme, but any positive result for the Sammarinese has to be noted I suppose. Good to see both goals came from two players at my Aprilia club, so that's something certainly. Just need to take this result and build on it.

The 0-1 home loss against Taranto was a foreboding start to March...I thought...no...it couldn't be...again?! But alas, my boys have my back and I have theirs

We threw away a 2-0 halftime lead at Frosinone in a top of the table battle, but you know what they say: "Win your home games, draw your away games, and the title is there waiting for you" so I wasn't too discouraged, just annoyed at our poor 2nd half performance.

A solid 1st leg semi cup victory means we may just have some silverware at F.C. Aprilia this year!!! Wouldn't that be grand!!

A dismantling of Casertana followed the cup victory and then a clutch last minute 3-2 away victory at Leeds Lecce just might give us the push into the final months to bring it all home!!!



Ugh, the 6-pointer against Nocerina may have cost us a chance at the title, but if that turns out to be the case in the run out then I am determined to make 2nd place, which happens to be 1st place in the playoff table , fucking MINE!

looks like you are going to miss out on the title! But should hopefully finish second another draw with San Marino is positive shame you couldn't get a win though!

It is a positive but the victory would have been so much sweeter and a green winning circle in your match results for San Marino always makes one smile!

...Another shocking run in.

Started off the month winning a scrappy cup tie on penalties after losing the away leg 0-2 taking a 2-0 lead into there I suppose a win is a win. An explosive 4-1 home victory over Messina followed, and I was riding high, I should have known it would be too good to be true. A devastating 2-4 loss against 11th ranked Trapani really started the grinding of my gears. I did not take this one as hard as I maybe would have had I not rested a ton of la squadra for the cup tie coming up.

Following the awful Trapani result I drew the cup Final 1st leg 2-2 away, which I knew meant I just needed an 0-0 draw at home and we'd be Campioni della Coppa Italiana. I could only hope our league form wouldn't dip...

Look at it.. ..A 3-4 loss to 14th ranked Isola Liri made me think we may fall out of playoff contention and a cup victory would be meaningless to a shocking finish in the league.

A 0-0 home draw against top 10 Catanzaro guaranteed us playoffs in some fashion, so although I was quite frustrated at dropping easy points at home, at least I knew the season wouldn't slip away from us in a catastrophic fashion.

Blegh..and then we limped in with a shit scoreless 0-1 loss away to cap of the disappointing end of the league. The slide had hurt us, but not killed us.



Welp. 3rd by one point...but in the playoffs. Our opposition up first in the quarters? Former parent club Albinoleffe. Here we go!

Thanks Johno! It will be a succulent victory against our former parent club who I dropped in favor of Palermo. In reality I have no ill will against them, but they may be a bit peeved at their former feeder club having so much success.

Time for a Serie B season with Arpilia. I'm anxious, excited, nervous, and maybe a little randy ha ha. Although it seems large, just brought in some youth and role players, did the annual purge, and now we're ready to rock'n'roll against the big boys!

As with all previous seasons, I let my ass man handle it. Again, didn't really care as long as we got into match fitness and my SM boys were training well. We also played two cup games, and boy howdy, look at us throwing our weight around in the big leagues. Have a look:


A solid home cup victory over Cremonese. Our first competitive match up here almost at the top of the Italian leagues


Look at that. Luck is all I can say. They had tons of clear cut chances they put wide, and we were able to get a away victory over Parma. What a huge victory for the Apriliani!


Very very pleased with the large amount of youthful Sammarinese players brought in to train. Loof is a role playing CB. And the 3 loans are just some defensive cover to ensure we can survive at this level. Purged Bonnani and Burini from the payroll but that left me in a bit of a defensive lurch that ws filled by those loanees. Letting Ferrara go to Salernitana was tough, as he had 4.5 star potential, but couldn't get a game in with the form of Pellé and Florian; plus I wanted to give Tomassini and others any time those two didn't get, so I just had to let him go. Loaned out a ton of youngsters as well as Stefanelli, as he just isn't that quality and would barely have got any games this year, which was the same as last year for him, so I thought it'd be better for his growth to play somewhere else.

Exciting start to our time in Serie B. 2 victories out of 2 games! I'm hoping for survival in this league for a few years to rake in the money, then maybe make the jump up to the big boy Italian league!

A frustratingly shit performance at home against Kuwait. I wanted the upset victory as they weren't too tough an oppostion, but as you can see we could barely hold onto theball, let alone get a shot on goal. Fucking UGHHH



Blagh. 2nd loss to Lithuania during my tenure. Another shit performance. I want at least a goal in our next match, a Euro qualifier against Montenegro in October or November! This is poor. Our best year was 2014, I want it to always be the present year!

A squeaker against our old Lega nemesis Nocerina made me smile! Barbato continuing to show his quality.

An unbelievable 4-2 home victory over Siena thanks to my main man Graziano Pellè! A hattrick delight, making a case that he should have been capped for the Azzurri during his career!

Graziano's 4th goal in two games gave us a crucial away victory over Sassuolo! The Serie B is easy compared to the lower Italian divisions haha




I did the update right now instead of after September had ended as we had completed our first three games of 6, but also becasue look at us, sitting atop the fucking Serie B!!!!! We aren't ready for Serie A and some of these victories have definitely been lucky: the Sassuolo game saw them hit the post 3 times :/ but alas lady luck smiles on ME AND DI APRILIANI!!!!



I've put my time in for these lads. Haha check out that I favor Sammarinese players instead of Italains hahaha



Graziano rattling the net in under 20 seconds. My boy is a record setter galore!

A victory away against our parent club Palermo, and by some margin! Wow! Serie B is a cakewalk! Tomassini getting his first goals for me too, now need to recreate that on the international stage!

A solid home 4-2 victory over Lanciano thanks to an amazingly fast hattrik by the Afghan master Isoufi!

Finally lost/dropped points away at Empoli in a shit performance where we got crushed after going up 1-0 Both fullbacks were under 5.7 rating BLEGH



Still number one. HOLY SMOKES! We need to drop some points, or we are going to get promoted faster than we can really afford to haha
