Not saying it will happen with Balo but when we signed Sturridge he was in much the same position as Balotelli is, accused of not scoring enough, being to greedy, not looking bothered. At 16 Million (if that is the fee) he's well worth the risk and if it doesn't work out we'd make most of the money back if we have to sell him on.

That was the case when City signed him and then when Milan signed him too in fairness

Ross guided me to the light in terms of wanting Balotelli at Arsenal. Now I'm happy to see him go to Liverpool.

What'd he say? Because I'm probably still pro-Mario if I'm honest.

Yep. Also:

If both of those are true, Milan will end up with (assuming they use the money to pay City) £4.9m.

Cba going through fb messages but:

"Don't even know where to begin with Balotelli. He's 24 now, not a case of 'good potential', tactically one dimensional, emotionally unstable"

"Better man managers than Rodgers have tried and failed with him, he's on ridiculous wages, he has a snake of an agent, cancer."

"All this coming from someone who actually rather likes him. Needed a move to Turkey, Russia or Monaco. Get loads of goals in a poor league"

"The bugger hasn't improved at all since he was 19/20. If anything he's declined. Cancer."

"His arrival at AC achieved 2 things; Made them lose all tactical flexibility and killed the development of El Shaarawy. Sterling beware."

Can't say I disagree with most of those points, massive pity though.

Well they can then finally pay Rami back.

Still unbelievable how they paid so much for Matri, when they're so deep in the shitter.

"Vote on Corriere about whether it's a good move for Milan to sell Balotelli: 78% say yes."

Warning signs.

Also a bit surprised Rodgers has gained the reputation as someone who can get the best of his signings, Toure, Alberto, Aspas, Moses, Cissokho, Toure, Tiago Ilori, Yesil, Assaidi, Sahin and Borini have all been flops or not done as much as expected. Plus Sakho, Allen and Mignolet haven't exactly been big successes.

Arguably Coutinho and Sturridge have been his only real successes, and they were immediate successes.

I'd argue that Henderson came on a lot under Rodgers after being a bit of a flop under Dalgleish.

That would be the same for a lot of regional newspapers who did a poll after selling a player though, wouldn't surprise me if the Echo did one and it ended up being a similar result regarding Suarez.

Half those players you mentioned were shit and weren't signed to be world beaters or they're young and hardly played. I'd argue Sahin and maybe Aspas was the only flop out of there - Kolo Toure was signed on free and just for back up, Moses did okay in flashes and was also brought as back up, the rest are more fringe players.

Liverpool will pay Balotelli £90k a week to play for them, while Manchester United will pay Nani £120k a week to play for Sporting Lisbon...

Yeah the only reason I can see Mario coming is either Champions League or the fact we'll be paying him a fair bit more.

I was just looking at some of this shite on twitter. I feel sorry for the rational Liverpool fans because they aren't half surrounded by fucking idiots.

Brendan Rodgers has very good PR people.

West Brom sign Giorgios Samaras on a two year deal.

Just what they need to rectify their lack of striking options

Balo is a huge risk. Talented, yes. But when surely his history of being moved from top club to top club has to suggest something. Also can't see him and Sturridge working together, both will want to play which will mean one being pushed out wide, neither of which will be thrilled about that.

Rumours this morning we're trying to restart the Grenier deal with Pardew thinking Colback can replace Tiote in the holding midfield role.

I hope he's wrong.

Tiote rumoured to be leaving to Lokamotiv Moscow for 14m.

According to goal.com were getting him as well as Balo, undergone a medical elsewhere apparently.

Everywhere else reporting that Eto'o is the backup just incase Balotelli deal falls through. Odd.
