Horribly overpriced, but given they've messed about all summer and the window closes in a couple weeks there's not many other options.
I'm not sure how good he is nowadays but I think he would be a great signing for Leicester.

I don't think it's to do with the CL at all. United are easily the biggest club in England and the only one Worldwide who can compete with sides like Madrid & Barca in terms of stature. It's simply a lack of plan and poor conduction of business to blame for the late rush. Vidal was a very feasible target for them and he's the best CM in the World.
Mata in my opinion was a very poor purchase for them and I still have no idea why they signed him. Herrera was a step in the right direction but it was a bit pricey and Shaw was obviously overpriced but it's a long term investment. Woodward has to get the blame for this, at this rate they're gonna be battling for 5th and are looking to panic buy like us a few years back when we got spanked by United and bought Andre Santos.

The plan was to appoint Moyes (or Fergie mk II as the board saw him) and ride the wave of an authoritarian Glaswegian to dominance.
I think people are over-estimating how much of the damage he did we're still repairing, he shattered confidence at the club, bought poorly (in reply to Based Jorge RVP was almost certainly leaving if Moyes stayed but I still think Mata has a role to play in a pacy, fluid confident team off the right flank) and pissed off the senior players (particularly in defence) so much they basically all left.
Its not helped that Woodward doesn't seem to have the slightest understanding how to do his job (he's clearly very good at the commercial stuff, but he's as much to blame as anyone for the failure to buy anyone) but we're basically paying for the instability Moyes appalling reign caused, including changing manager to a man who has very specific and demanding requirements of his players.

He had a good World Cup, but so did Kleberson.

Yes.
Suspect thats why that's also why we're interested.
It baffles me though how we're so willing to spend money on average players in one way or another (Fellaini, Herrara, Shaw, Rojo) but baulk at paying a penny over the odds for anyone world class. £45m for Vidal? No way. £45m for Fellaini and Herrera? You betcha.
Based Jorge
Very baffling. So when everyone's fit, Shaw wing-back and Rojo central? Evans would probably still be your best defender.

He's a body. Thats about the most important thing at the moment. Whether he's first choice or not he'll play a lot of games because everyones a crock. He seems pretty highly righted by Sporting fans I've seen on the internet, so hopefully he'll do a job.
Not really sure of the sense of it all if Benetia is available for £35m but I didn't really understand why we weren't after him in the first place.

From what I've heard Rojo isn't anything special. A central player who was moved out to a fullback/wingback position and had a good WC. That's basically the end of it. Certainly not the sort of defensive purchase Man Utd need, nor the quality. But I guess, it's something when things seem a little desperate.
Ninja
No one really knows caus no ones seen him play there really and those that have seem generally positive. It doesn't really matter, if he's good enough to start he'll start if he's not he'll be a backup.
FWIW, the one signing that most journalists expect us to do is Di Maria, although as Crane will tell you he can play centrally, you'd assume that the signing of a winger of that quality would see the end of Van Gaal's insistence that we have no quality winger and the abandonment of the 3 at the back. If and when that happens the combination of Evans, Smalling, Jones, Rojo, and Blackett/Keane is more than enough for 2 slots.
Crane
I've not seen much of him apart from the WC, but on your second point, even if he's not good enough, you'd still expect him to start a fair bit with your defensive injury record!

bluemoon.
Estudiantes legend and his former team-mate.
Deal!

It would've made sense since they were both Argentine anyway, I was just surprised Veron would speak favourably given he didn't have the best of times there.
Well of course his experience at the club would be irrelevant to his form, but still.

Has Richards been that bad?

I don't think I've actually seen him play since about 2011.
Franck
Rough deal for Oldham, that.

He played a few FA Cup games and was absolutely woeful

5 minutes apart. What a bell.
