I think it will be tough to knock Monaco off the top. Decided to take it in the end as I felt Shakhtar will be a good challenge especially with the history with the club and trophies. They have fallen behind Dnipro and Dynamo Kiev and have struggled to get between them.
I would like to return to France at some point.

Good luck at Shakhtar though, haven't managed in Ukraine in ages myself so it'll be interesting to see how you fare at a side who haven't won the league in a few seasons and finished last season third - I take it they're in Europe though at least? Good luck mate.

Not bad transfer budget despite having pre signed 2 players for this season plus compensation for staffs, which will be in next update, also in talks with couple players to join the club, hoping to sign few Ukraine nationally players. Selling couple players who on high wage or old.
Have also been busy revamping our backroom staff

Pre season results
Didn't get off to good start against Augsburg, Went 2-0 down on 38th minutes, with their on loan striker from Schalke getting brace. Captain Benitez pulled one back for us before half time approached. Told the team that I expect a better performance in second half which they responded with 2 goals. Benitez level the score with a bullet header inside the box. The guy who scored 2 goals against us ended up making a mistake after mistiming his header and Diego, headed it in from corner to give us the win.
Tough match against CSKA Moscow, and they was the better side against us. Went into half time, 0-0. They took the lead on 51 minutes after Diego failed to clear the ball and Thalles took advantage to score. Benitez, level the score 7 minutes later with an strike outside the box. We up the game with last 20 minutes with 2 late goals from Palacios and Vasiljev whom both has a great game on the wing for us.
We played brilliant against Atlante and we was guilty of missing chances in front of the goals despite scoring 3.
Completely destroyed them with 6 goals in first half, Palacios was immense for us, disappointing not to score in 2nd half.
We ended up doing an Arsenal

Spent over 6M on 8 new players which I am quite please about.
Rolando Moreno - Came across him after his agent offered him to me.
Kang Jong-Duk - Mainly for merchandise option. will be back up.
Dmytro Grechyshkin - this transfer was already pre signed before I took over.
Anthony Maurin - This guy came through OGC Nice when I was there, been keeping an eye on him over the years and decided to take him to Ukraine.
Nabil Kasmi - Took him with me to Ukraine, I felt we was lacking few good left back and he has improved a lot.
Nikita Fedotov - Took a look at our feeder club link, Shakhtar Football Academy and came across him and signed him up for the future. Currently being tutored by Grechyskin.
Olexandr Severyn - Looked at scout report and saw him and I thought he looks pretty good will be back up to our defence.
Guillermo Piaggio - Saw him by pure luck

July 2021
We kicked off our season with 2-0 win over newly promoted, Goveria. We completely battered them all over the pitch but scored 2 goals in second half.
We face our big rival, Dynamo Kyiv at home. Palacios got us in the lead on 2 minutes with a dip shot. Samsonov doubled our lead on 26th minutes with a well struck finish inside the box. Captain Benitez finished the game off with a shot outside the box. Disappointed we didn't score after the break.
Another home game on the trot, this time against Volyn. It was Samsonov's day after bagging hat trick for us. He got us the lead on 8th minutes with a chip over the keeper which hit the post and went in. We conceded on 11th minutes after Titov, gave away a free kick. Karasyuk stepped up the free kick and hit the post and unfortunately hit our goalkeeper, Carlos and went in
Crazy game against Tavria, We went 2-0 down with own goal from Diego, on 22nd minutes and goal from Mikovic on 56th minutes which was disappointing. Late goals from Marin and Illichov got us a point and we could have snatched it in the end. But happy to get a point in the end despite us being 2-0 down.

Made another signing and brought in Filipe Henriques from Sporting CP for 525K. I felt we need to bring in another winger for back up to Palacios.
I have also sold Wilfred Bony to Real Betis for 425K.

An brace from Maurin and goal from Vasilijev saw Chornomorets off.
Our lack of discipline saw us lose 1-0 to Metalist. Illichov got doubled booked on 56th minutes which put us under massive pressure. On 66th minutes, Titov made an mistake in the box and fouled one of their player to give away penalty which sent us first defeat in 7 games.
Vasilijev got us in front with 12 seconds on the clock against Sheriff. Palacios doubled our lead on 43rd minutes. We camped in their half in second half and failed to score more.
What an debut for Ozil
I decided to go for all Ukrainian nationally starting XI. Pleased to see we did well against them especially leaving out big names players.
We travel to Metalurg ZP for our match. Mikhailov caused them alot of problems on the right hand side and was superb for us. Palacios won us a penalty after being pulled back in the box. Which Mikhailov stepped up to score. Got his second goal of the night on 69th minutes with an free kick from 21 meters which hit the post and went in.
