The refereeing in this league is fucking awful. Something needs to be done about it, there's terrible decisions that swing games nearly every week, but nobody ever seems to be held accountable.

Because if they did there'd be no refs left.

Yeah the FA love us.

Rio banned for 8 months for missing a drugs test. Rooney banned for two matches for swearing. Fergie banned for dissing refs, fair enough, but managers do it week in week out and usually just get fines.

Damn the FA and their pro United stance!

How is that hard on you? all of those deserved punishing.

I just don't understand why technology isn't yet used. I don't mean goal line technology, I mean an appeal/review system, rugby league shows it doesn't take long, and you could restrict it to 3 reviews a game, with successful appeals meaning you don't lose one just like tennis

If it only could have happened..

...no. Because you're being stupid. Just because two bad decisions happen in a few minutes doesn't mean that everyone is corrupt. Besides, I'm sure you weren't complaining back when Liverpool used to get the same treatment as United.

Because they were all disproportionate and inconsistent. If the FA were really bent into letting us win for years and years, surely they'd let these incidents slip seeing as it would be easier to do so.

8 month ban for being late to a drugs test. That's more than people get for failing them.

Fergie got a longer ban for (justly) critising refs than Terry got for racially abusing another player.

1. Ivanovic barely even touched the cunt. Not going to say that he didn't because it was too hard to see in the replays. Fair enough.

2. Torres was supposed to be substituted off before the attack were he WAS fouled. So not only he let United play on although the substitution was all ready, he sent off a player for being tackled and taking contact, as well as a perfect opportunity for us to make it 3-2! Would have been so, so different had Cuntenburg been less of a cunt!

3. How could that not be an offside? Seriously! He came back from the goal and the only things he was between was 11 Chelsea players and 10 United players to the goal and the crowd. What the fuck?!

And United fans crying about having things going against them... Who the fuck got a penalty that shouldn't have been a penalty? Ya, I bet you don't remember that! Stop crying, you have been given the backing of the FA and referees for a good while now! Is that not enough!?

And before anyone asks, I am mad. Very mad. And rightly so.

Eight months for missing a drugs test. Eight months? A City player did the same thing and got a fine. Rio offered to do another drugs test, and to do another one which would prove that he didn't take drugs for quite a while. The FA refused.

Players swear all the time in sport and it's often clear what they say. Rooney deserved a fine at most.

Managers very rarely get banned for criticising the refs.

As jumberto said it's all very inconsistent.

Very poor reffing and I certainly agree technology should be used. However, I'll take the win as potentially we could, if not should, be 7 points behind. I just hate how people say "oh, United are corrupt, they're paying the refs, etc", how would you even know this? Other referee's have made huge calamitous decisions before for other teams. There have been decisions made against us too in the past.

We didn't deserve to win as we just disappeared after 35 minutes, but you're going to take 3 points over your rivals regardless of poor decisions. Plus, it creates the banter anyway.

Late to a test? He missed the test, read up on your facts. And it's a right ban, everyone's crying out about the cycling doping yet when someone misses a test here and gets done for it they complain?

Yeah Fergie was the only one who could criticize referee's and not get done for it before that. It's evened out a bit now, but before he seemed to be the only one who got away with it.

The two cases were different, the City player was on his way to the test... Plus what's the point of letting Rio do another test, that's pretty much shitting over their own regulations, showing other players they can miss tests and get away with it.

Suarez got banned for swearing too. Bet you wouldn't say he deserved a fine.

Christian Negouai was fined £2,000 for missing a test. How is eight months and £50,000 right for Rio and not for Negouai?

Missing a drugs test is a pretty big deal.

Didn't Rooney swear down a tv camera at a live game?

And not one single manager does it anywhere near as much as Ferguson.

Oh yeah Drogba got banned 5 games or something like that as well for swearing so that can go together with the Suarez one.

But then again that was UEFA.

I have read up on it. He realised he had missed it, went to the training ground late, the testers were still there but wouldn't let him do a test. He then offered to take a test the next day but the FA refused that as well.

The judgement comes 86 days after Ferdinand was asked to take a test at United's Carrington training headquarters, but left without undergoing the procedure.

Ferdinand claimed he then contacted the club to offer to take the test, but was told it was too late.

Either way, although it's extremely harsh and he probably never doped it would be a very risky to let him get away with it and set a bad precedent.

That was an utterly bizarre match at Stamford Bridge. Certainly not one to help argue the claims Man United are favourably refereed, or that the standard of Premier League refereeing is getting increasingly dreadful.

Can someone explain how Nigel Adkins is already under pressure, and how the media seem to think Harry Redknapp would be interested in the Southampton job?

We're going off on a tangent here. The point is he made every effort to make the test after he initially missed it and was not allowed to. He then got a ban exceeding most of the bans dished for failing a test. Basically the FA made an example of him. If they were bent they would not have done so.

All these morons going on about corrupt FA and officials are more annoying than the piss-poor refereeing. Any time anything remotely contraversial goes our way we never hear the end of it. When stuff happens against us or goes for other teams in other matches nothing is made of it.

1) He probably isn't, but if he is it's because a lot of money has been spent, they have won one game this season and he hasn't had any experience at this level.
2) He wouldn't.
