According to ESPN Santos accepted Barca's bid of 25 mil euros. The price may seem a bit low compared to how overhyped he was for years but I'd say it's a decent price for him. Santos could have sold him for much more than that a year or two ago had Neymar decided to move.

€25m for Neymar is absurdly under-priced even with his contract situation.

£23.9M.

Ridiculously cheap.

Barcelona have had like a £20m first option on him already though.

I don't think it's ridiculously cheap, it's just not as outrageous as well all thought it was going to be. In terms of value I think that's probably about right.

I've not seen a great deal of Neymar, but from what I have I think he'll struggle initially in European competition, his close control always looked a bit suspect and only seemed to thrive when he had a lot of space. Obviously he'll get that bit more space because you can't double mark him and Messi and he'll get that little bit more used to playing against better defences more often and some of that selfishness that I've often seen in him will be coached out.

Provided him and Messi don't clash (which they probably will) he will be an excellent player for Barca, but they haven't got a finished product yet there's still a lot of work for him.

It's cheap because he's only got 12 months left on his contract. He could sign for free in 6 months.

They should have sold him last year, could have got about double that.

Guillem Balague reckons they've also paid an initial fee of 10 million, plus money to agents (9m) and a third-party owner (10m), for whatever his word is worth.

Yeah, as I was insinuating in my earlier post, the £23.9 million is just the money going to Santos, and they definitely don't own all of his 'economic rights'.

I wonder if this means David Villa will be leaving.

Villa was leaving anyway. For one thing Deulofeu is being promoted from the 'B' team.

Same with Lewandowski to Bayern.

Heynckes said this at the press conference after the final:

You all know we bought Götze and Lewandowski shouldn´t be awaited too long.

Apparently Fiorentina want to sign Joaquin on a 4 year deal(!)

Do they think it's still 2004?

Also after Burak Yilmaz from Galatasaray.

Agreed.

Although I doubt he'd want to leave Bayern.

I'd probably want to leave if I just had a season has good as he has and then my club went and signed 2 players that will probably play instead of me.

Two?

Assuming Götze will play a false-9 role like he does for Germany.

I assume he won't, with the strikers they already have.

Well he isn't going to take Ribery or Robbens position so I would imagine he would be playing behind Lewandowski.

Yeah, it's odd to think where he'll actually fit in.

I mean assuming fitness he's basically competing with Müeller or Kroos for the right wing or second striker/auxiliary midfielder role. I guess longer term Ribery leaving the left wing role will open that up.

I guess I can just see him dislodging Mandzukic (and Gomez will probably go anyway) more easily than those players.
