Spiro Vassiliadis Takes Charge!

Spiro Vassiliadis (43) has taken the open managing seat of Doxa Dramas F.C.

Doxa Dramas are currently sitting in the Northern Group of the Greek National B Division.

Doxa Dramas have appeared in the top flight once since the 94/95 season which was in 11/12 season only to finish last and go back down.

Vassiliadis' ambitions seem to be humble but ambitious.

When asked about his ambitions and philosophies Vassiliadis replied.

"The ultimate goal is to play in the top flight, however the journey is important. Doxa Dramas F.C does not want to be a Greek side filled anything but Greek players. We will promote youth at the grassroots level and if that takes time, so be it."

Doxa Dramas will be Vassiliadis' first foray into the world of professional management and the buzz is high.

Doxa Dramas chairman Athanasios Samios has given Vassiliadis his full backing expressing his excitement in his new manager.

"Vassiliadis and us at the board have the same vision and we are confident we can work in harmony to achieve our goals."
