I'm using dark skin... maybe that's the problem?

As far as I'm aware the skin shouldn't have any effect on the boards
If the boards worked for you in FM13 that means that one of the following is most likely the problem, as the file still works in the same way
a) One of the settings in Preferences is not correct or b) the folders are incorrectly placed or named
Make sure all folders are named using just lowercase letters

Try checking the box. Close FM, restart, reload skin and see what happens that could be the problem...

If the settings were wrong then the default boards would show.
I've noticed in your folder layout - I can't see what's before the Sports Interactive folder
Make sure that its in your 'my documents/sports interactive' folder, rather than the program folder

And Second, i've started to make the adboards for the remaining teams for Chilean Primera Division, are finished Palestino, Universidad de Concepcion and Cobresal and actually is WIP Ñublense with an important logo missing, in the next days maybe in the weekend, i'll release a preview,.Also Started with Argentinean Primera Teams, for now are finished Colon de Santa Fe and River Plate, my objective is make the 20 clubs for Primera Division and update the National B.
Also and a ambicious objective maybe can make in the future (i'll stay in hiatus for an inportant time for summer vacations)
- Chile: Copa Chile (only has 4 adboards), and the Sponsors for Chilean National Team.
- Argentina: Copa Argentina and also the Sponsors for Argentinian National Team.
- Peru: Adboards for most important clubs plus update the actual adboards.
- Colombia: Same as Peru.
- Uruguay: Same as Colombia and Peru.
- and finally, update the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana adboards as both cups changed main sponsor in this year.
- Optionally can make adboards for any team i like in particular but is not my priority.

Before sports interactive folder, i have folder games in E... i have transfered sports interactive folder from my documents. Never have problem with older version of Fm with this, also all other graphics( kits, facepack, stadion pictures) is working ok.
E:\Games\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2014\ads (in ads folder i have fm.xml)
E:\Games\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2014\graphics\pictures\ads (in ads i have folders, africa, asia, default, europe, north america, oceania, south america, worldwide)
Where are the default boards?

Firstly the default boards I referred to are the boards SI use in the game if your not using any Ad pack (all charity & FM boards)
I think the file location could be the reason your having a problem.
My ad boards are in: C:\Users\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2014\
I would suggest relocating the folders to your My Documents folder and try that (Si have re-designed the game engine since FM13)

I go back to default location... load the game without pics, kits, facepack but still can't see the default boards. Try add the ads pack, i see only black boards...
I will download the game on my desktop pc, to see does the fresh install will help.

I install the game on my desktop pc, compare the game that i play on my laptop and find out that this version ( played since beta version with all updates) was missing this folder "props":
D:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Football Manager 2014\data\sigfx\props
This folder "props" contain folder "ads_board". This are the default boards in the game...
Now i'm gonna re-install the game on my laptop and try again (i'm sure that this time everything will work).

First of all, let me give you my congratulation for this amazing Footbaal Manager Add-On! This is really well done and is a must-have every year that a new FM is released.
Secondly, I made for myself some new adboards for the portuguese competitions and I've uploaded them, so that you can replace the ones that are in the adboard pack. In the Cups folders (league and portuguese cup) are two adboard of the competition, and if you could put them centered in the middle of the pitch, like the champions league, it would be amazing!

Thanks, i finished 3 teams more, Ñublense and Santiago Wanderers for Chile (now 14/18), and Argentinos Juniors for Argentina (now 3/20), coming up next comes Antofagasta and Estudiantes de la Plata but not started yet because next days have tests in University.

Installation of FM 2014 Ad Board Patch is not necessary but recommended.
Installation:
1. Copy "ads" & "graphics" from this download to your My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager main directory
5. Start game, clear cache and create new cache

I have exactly the same problem, the structure looks identical, but not showing up, I am playing Leeds using Club ads, the sky bet board shows in league games and the Capital board shows in cu, but rest are generic

Sometimes you have to delete your cache and reload skin twice.

Then I add the extra graphics and ads board, made my settings in preferences (use very low graphics) and now i see the new ads boards
I put again my files in E:\Games\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2014\graphics\pictures\ads and everything is working OK. No need using the default folder C:\My documents

The ads board pack and the default board are only show in game (not like black boards) if u are using standard 100 % for size and text in preferences.

14.03 shall be out in the near future
Sortitoutsi have kindly offered to host the main patch going forward, so that your not downloading from external hosting sites.
This also means that the pack will be easier for people to find going forward!
I shall look it the Verona problem and also look into the Portugal update, both if required will be in 14.03

Apologies, but I have done everything and my structure looks correct, one question when you move the XML file to the ads folder, what do you do with the XML folders both of them??

You just keep it somewhere safe, so that if you ever wish to use the other XML you don't have to download it.
You could always delete it however... once you've moved the XML you want

Should you wish to watch in 2D then yes, you will still get ad-boards
