Yeah as I said Shedender I was disappointed winning just four nil but in the end of the day we kept another clean sheet and top our group so thats important! As for the friendly win over Ireland we did place out a slightly weaker side but it was good to come back from two down to beat them!
Our league form isn't perfect, a little rocky at times but we are still doing very well. However only two wins in our last six games is a little worrying when we've drawn to the likes of Wigan, Hull and Southampton. A big four nil win over Man City earlier in the year as well as a five one win over Fulham shortly after. But our form will need to pick up in the second half of the season!
Well this is a little bit of a surprise isn't it, we are still in the Capital One Cup! We travelled to The Emirates to take on Arsenal and managed to battle a four nil win. Goals from Carrick and a Mertesacker own goal saw us lead at the break before Carrick added a second and Zaha netted to put us through to the Quarter Finals where we faced Liverpool. And once again we struck four! Come the break we led just one nil thanks to Barkley. Second half Zaha made it two nil before an own goal put us three up. Jones netted late on to seal the win.
The Semi Final will see us take on Huddersfield over two legs! I am now more than confident that we will be able to battle past them and reach my first Capital One Cup Final. We haven't lost to these in four games so hopefully we can keep it going.
A good FA Cup draw for us in the Third Round too as we are drawn on the road against Watford. We will make the trip to Vicarage Road fully expecting to win as we look to make our third successive Final and hopefully claim our second FA Cup title.
Dissappointed that we lost a Champions League group game this year round. We beat CSKA Moscow two one away from home to mark the halfway stage of the season with a perfect run of three played and three won. The second half of the stage wasn't as easy for us though as we drew at home with CSKA Moscow and then lost to Metalist also at home. However a two nil win against Sparta Praha with goals from Chamberlain and Barkley secured our qualification.
Not six from six this year but we did enough to top the group but only just! We finished top of the group with thirteen points, tied at the top with second place CSKA Moscow who had a better goal difference than us but remain second due to our head to head results, luckily for me!
And so it will be Galatasaray in the First Knockout Round which will hopefully see us avoid an early knockout that we faced last year! With any luck we can avoid all the German sides in the competition this year and we may be able to actually get somewhere in the competition.
We will go into the New Year in second place as Chelsea top the table on goal difference! Both Chelsea and ourselves have amassed forty three points over the course of this season but they lead the table by a plus two goal difference. Manchester City are third and just five points behind us. Newcastle sit fourth with Liverpool in fifth hot on their heels. Arsenal and Tottenham are both still struggling in the league this season with them sitting eighth and tenth respectively.

Really enjoying this, so much actually I'm thinking of starting a career with United myself.
Dan
Thanks Shedender, I'm just pleased we turned the tie! After the first leg defeat I was worried but we were sensational in the second leg.
Go for it KEVO, I'd be interested to see your progress and the route you take!
Chelsea VS Manchester United
How disgusting, the Chelsea side didn't sport one starting Englishman! Whilst we fielded another full eleven as my young English side looked to claim their first ever Capital One Cup as I finally took my Manchester United side to the Final of the competition!
Champions and the double is secured! We went to Wembley infront of a full capacity crowd of ninety thousand with Howard Webb in the centre circle. We weren't brilliant but certainly did what we had to do. A sole goal game came from Will Hughes who netted in the twenty first minute! Guiding us to our second trophy of the season.
*This puts us in great shape for the remainder of the season, after winning two competitions already we are still in the remaining three...

Oh really Johno? None of them showing at all? Is anyone else having this problem as mine are all showing fine?

A very poor youth intake for me, not really any players worth showing, any players my assistant 'recommends' signing I probably will but I don't hold much hope for any of these players in the future!

How we've not one thing I will never know! We were all over Hungary as the statistics show but its two points dropped and that hits home even more when it was played at Wembley. We took the lead inside six minutes thanks to Ashley Young. But a second half Chris Smalling own goal was enough to give the travelling Hungary side grab a point.
We continue to sit top of our group but have now conceded a sole goal thanks to Smalling putting the ball in his own goal and also dropped two points following the draw with third place Hungary. This is a slight set back but we still sit three points clear of second place Sweden so now we just need to continue pressing on.

Will in the next day I'd say, just been very busy with going the gym lately and seeing friends, haven't played FM in awhile!! I find it funny that you've struggled in the in the Capital One Cup and not the FA Cup and I was the opposite of that the last time I played as United. Think I made the Capital One Cup final three years in a row, winning it the once and just couldn't get by the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Dan
Well our league form never really picked back up and nearing the end of the season we were atrocious! The month of March seemed to be the best it got for us for the second half of the season and then it went down hill with just one win in our final eight games! I couldn't do anything, changed the team, changed the formation, mentality and had team meetings but the form wasn't to rise. Surely this form wouldn't see us win a third title on the bounce...
And so we wrapped up the FA Cup, to make a treble confirmed along with the Community Shield and Capital One Cup. We made it to the Final for a third season running and winning the competition for a second season in three. We beat York two nil to advance to the Sixth Round where we faced Fulham, a one all draw saw us have a replay at Old Trafford where we stuffed them five nil. This was the same scoreline for the Semi Final clash with Championship side Leeds as we battered them five nil at Wembley. We faced Wigan in the Final where we ran to a two nil victory curtsey of Welbeck and Henriqeuz both netting.
This time it was the French that knocked us out as PSG got their first win against us since I've been in charge at United. We faced Galatasaray in the First Knockout Round, winning two one away from home after coming back from one down and then dominantly three nil back at home. We were then drawn with PSG four a fourth successive season in the competition. They beat us three one in France and I knew it would be tough back at home. Unfortunately we only won two one at home, seeing us crash out four three on aggregate.
Nope, course we weren't going to win it! We were brilliant the last two seasons in the league thats why we won the competition, this year our form was up and down for the majority of the season and we've lost the title as it heads to London and back into Chelsea' cabinet as they finished champions and by eleven points over second place Manchester City. Our fierce rivals finished four points ahead of us whilst Arsenal in fourth finished level on points with us but sported a worst goal difference. Liverpool finish fifth ensuring Europa League football with Southampton and also FA Cup runners up WIgan return to Europe.

We firstly welcomed Croatia to Wembley and infront of seventy three thousand fans, Wilfried Zaha shone through. He opened the scoring in the seventeenth minute, before netting two goals in six minutes before the break, seeing him seal his hatrick and put us three goals to the good. Second half was a little quieter, Modric netted from a spot kick in the sixty fourth minute but that was it, a good win for us.
We then had a friendly against one hundred and fiftieth ranked 'Yeman' not sure why or who arranged it, but we played well, just didn't take our chances. We created thirty five of them, Smalling netted a double, one in the first minute and one in the nineteenth. Unfortunately after a handful of younger players came on we conceded in injury time.
Oh wow! Check out those budgets! Last year we were given very good budgets for transfers and didn't spend that much really. This year they have been upped once again! Just for qualifying for the Champions League as our target next season we've been given one hundred and seventy one million pounds! Whilst the wage budget stands at two point nine million pounds with us currently spending just under one point eight million pounds! Had I chosen Title Challenge or Winner we would of been given over two hundred million pounds!
Shedender
Oh and can I've some of that budget pal? Cheers.
Dan
Just three permanent departures this summer and it shouldn't really be that surprising as my all English squad sticks together through a busy summer thats for sure. The permanent departures are Angelo Henriquez, he played a few times through the season and will surely be a huge hit in the future but for twelve million he heads to Dortmund. Guillermo Verela joins Lokomotiv Moscow for one point one million whilst goalkeeper Sam Johnstone joins Cardiff for two million pounds. We had bids for Nick Powell and Will Hughes. Tottenham bided up to thirteen million for Powell whilst Chelsea offered me twenty eight million for Hughes, both rejected though.
Yerp that would be correct, not a single player has joined the ranks this season! I thought the squad was good where it is at currently and for that reason and the fact there is little positions I need to strengthen in despite the poor league campaign.
Well a lot of loan departures, as always but thats how the players are going to grow! We've not got too much to talk about here, players I've signed over the last few seasons such as Andre Brown, Emeka Bassey and Simon Cox all head back out for another season on loan. Plenty of loan deals to the feeder clubs of Yeovil and Barnsley. Most of the deals have monthly contributions on top of wages being paid.
A summer full of wins! Thats a first at the club for me I think, we've played seven friendlies and managed to scoop seven wins performing well in all seven and racking in some goals. We only kept two clean sheets but in the five games we did concede we only conceded one in each so thats a positive to take from them. We managed to score twenty eight goals with nine of them coming against huge underdogs, non league side Leek. We also beat Tottenham in Michael Carrick's Testimonial.
So our bank balance sits at a healthy, three hundred and thirty two million pounds with a current profit of two hundred and eleven million pounds reportedly. Our transfer budget has also upped to one hundred and eighty six million pounds following the sales we've made this summer and not spending a penny. Over a million pounds under the wage budget is keeping the board extremely happy!
And so the stadium expansion has also been completed, I believe it has taken around a year and a half (can't remember when I applied for it) but its been done now! We've seen an extra sixteen thousand seats added to Old Trafford which now takes our maximum capacity up to 91,765! I'm planning on requesting another expansion soon to make it to the one hundred thousand seater club!

Manchester United VS Chelsea
Just as the FA Cup Final back in May, the Community Shield would be contested between my Manchester United side and a strong, foreign looking Chelsea side. Once again Chelsea failed to start a single Englishman with three of their back four French. Whilst we fielded a full side of Englishman once again!
We've done it, we have managed to retain the Community Shield and claim our fourth Shield in four seasons but it was a tough game. We faced Chelsea and Wayne Rooney netted in the opening eight minutes to guide us into the lead before Chelsea star Eden Hazard levelled in the fourteenth minute. Ten minutes before the break Danny Welbeck fired us two one ahead and we held this lead till the break. Second half the game went a little dull, we retained possession a little more and finally found the winning goal a minute into injury time when Wayne Rooney netted his second of the afternoon and our third. An even later goal a minute later in injury time from Chelsea' Luis Fernando Muriel may have softened the blow for the blues but we held on to win this!
K3V0
With £171 million at your disposal I'd have gone after Wilshere so.
Are you only signing English players??
Dan
I decided to spend a small bit of the one hundred and eighty million pound budget at my disposal, a whole eight million on tow young English talent. First in I found Geoff Phillips at our feeder club Barnsley. He is rated to be huge and his finishing at fourteen is massive for him costing us four point four million. Then two days later we brought in Nico Owen, setting us back another three and a half million. Another striker with a bright future!
A load more loan deals and a small bit of money coming back into the club on a monthly basis. Not sure there are too many to talk about here. Jimmy O'Hara goes out on loan again whilst Phillips and Owen don't get a season at Old Trafford just yet, returning to their former clubs for a loan deal this season. Chris Lavery joins Sheffield United on loan too.
A decent start to life in the Premier League as we played two and won two, both hard games against Arsenal and Newcastle. We got of to a flyer against Arsenal netting after two minutes through Barkley before Ince netted just two minutes later seeing us go two up. Arsenal pulled one back but Welbeck put it beyond doubt late on. We then travelled to Newcastle where we won three two. This time Zaha netting an early double before Hughes netted in injury time to win us the game.
