I always want a challenge.

In FM12 Vauxhall was the hardest team to start of with, having only £550 a week for wages and a really small fanbase.
I've not tried the FM13 demo yet, so can anyone please tell me what team looks to be the toughest challenge to manage in the english league system this season (preferrably one in Blue Square n/s).

Thank you!

It's Truro in the Blue Square South.

In administration, they are under a transfer embargo and only have 12 players, some of which start pre season on long term injuries. it's a tough job and due to their location, nobody wants to join them!

That's who I've started with!
In the last game I started with Colwyn Bay and took them to European Champions league glory, and I intend to do the same with Truro this time!!

Does location actually have an effect on transfer possibilities? So I suppose a club in London could have a better chance of signing someone than someone in say, the highlands of Scotland?

No doubt. Some places are less popular, and makes players not want to join.

There's an attractiveness stat for each town. Presumably that gets factored in somehow, though I'm not sure how.

Yes. The size, reputation and attractiveness of a city are considerations when trying to sign a player.

I'm guessing you've never seen the news-item where a recently signed player declares that "the city suits my metropolitan life-style" or however it is the game phrases it? I remember I got it when I signed Sidney Sam to Hertha.

You could really go for a challenge and wait for the Non League expansion and take the worst team from level 11 up to the Prem

Ive started a new game as Chelmsford City in the Blue Square South. Not the biggest test but very difficult nevertheless. Truro appears the biggest challenge as they have only a few players and are in administration. In FM12 I was in charge for one season prior to FM13 coming out, finishiing 4th.

Im looking to gain promotion with Chelmsford without bringing in too many players

i had a look at hinckley and they pretty much have no money or good players, hence why they only have 3 points and lost 10 games in a row!

Oh dear, it's hard even to get pre-season friendlies for them...
