2012/13 Season
Obviously my first season in charge. A bit of selling at the start raised enough money for 2 new faces in the team:
LB - Leighton Baines from Everton - £22m
ST/AML/AMC - Stevan Jovetic from Fiorentina - £17.75m
This was a total failure of a season, finishing 11th, which somehow didn't get me the sack. Did manage to win the FA Cup though so at least there was some cheer. Top scorer was Gylfi Sigurdsson with a whopping (not) 9 goals in all competitions. Stoke City got 4th place in the league which was quite unexpected and Manchester United won the league. Fulham, Norwich and Swansea went down.

After that completely shit season, I decided to go for a bizarre 5-4-1 formation. That lined up like this - GK, SW, CB, CB, RWB, LWB, CM, CM, AMR, AML, ST.
Shortly after beating Kappa Real Wykoff (who?) 11-0 in a friendly, I beat Manchester United on penalties in the Community Shield after drawing 2-2.
Transfers in:
DC - Francisco Luis from A.Madrid - £500k (REGEN)
DC - Julio Hernando from A.Madrid - £9m (REGEN)
ST - Fabrice Olinga from Malaga - £2.5m
ST/AML/AMR - Kike Tejero from Barcelona - £1.3m (REGEN)
DC - Donato Lenti from Inter - £2.5m (REGEN)
AMC - Kaka from Real Madrid - Loan
Transfers out:
MC - Tom Huddlestone to Southampton - £4m
About 794 loans
Not too much happened during this season either. Defoe top scored with 23 goals in 41 games. Ended up finishing above Newcastle on GD to claim the 4th place and beat Lille 4-2 in the Europa League Final. Woop dee doo.

I decided to change my formation yet again to a more normal 4-2-3-1.
I applied for the vacant England managers job as Roy Hodgson retired after the World Cup. The FA basically laughed at me and hired Brendan Rodgers instead.
Transfers in:
GK - Joshua from Real Madrid - £850k (REGEN)
GK - Christian Benetti from Inter - £825k (REGEN)
ST/AMR - Curtis Poulter from Leeds - £425k (REGEN)
AMR - Pedro from Barcelona - £17.5m
GK - Tomasz Kuszczak - Free Agent (Don't laugh)
MC - Jucilei from Anji - £0
ST - Giampaolo Pazzini from Marseille - Loan
Transfers out:
ST - Emmanuel Adebayor to Reading - £5.5m
DL - Zeki Fryers to Watford - £1.1m
This was the season I got my shit together and won the Premier League. In europe I beat Ajax 9-2 on aggregate to get into the group stages. I got a fairly easy group of Valencia, FC Twente and Saint Etienne and won it with 13 points. In the first knockout round I smashed Skakhtar Donetsk 6-2 and then drew Valencia again in the quarter-final. I beat them 5-3 to set up a semi with Liverpool which I messed up. Leading 1-0 from the first leg all I really needed to do was get 1 goal at Anfield, but no, we lose 2-0. Shambles.
Defoe again top scored with 25 goals in 59 games. 4 other players reached double figures including Jan Vertonghen who got 13 in 54. Not bad for a DC
During the season, I also won:
FA Cup - Beat Manchester United 3-2
League Cup - Beat Manchester United 3-1

As it brought me success, I decided to stick with the 4-2-3-1 formation for the remainder of this career.
Transfers in:
ST/AMC - Dillon Honneyball from West Ham - £4.5m (REGEN)
ML/MC - Kwadwo Asamoah from Juventus - £0
ST - Seydou Doumbia from CSKA Moscow - £0
DC - Bernhard Rumi from Bayern Munich - £0 (REGEN)
DL - Pep from Barcelona - £1m (REGEN)
AMC - Maximilian Meyer from Schalke - £17m
Transfers out:
DL - Benoit Assou-Ekotto to Stoke City - £2.5m
DC - Grant Hall to Huddersfield Town - £1.5m
AMC/MC - Lewis Holtby to AS Roma - £10m
This season began by beating Chelsea 3-1 in the Community Shield. This turned out to be a season of many beatings for our oppposition as we beat Sunderland 8-1, Wolves 5-1, Sheffield United 7-1 and a thumping 6-0 win over Arsenal with new signing Doumbia scoring 5 times. We then beat Chelsea again in the League Cup final 3-2 and went on to retain the Premier League title. The FA Cup didn't bring the same success as we lost 4-2 to Liverpool in the 5th round.
The real story of the season was in the Champions League. An easy group was won and I got a 1st knockout round tie against FC Copenhagen. We lost the 1st leg 2-1 away in a shock result. But the 2nd leg provided nothing other than a resounding 5-0 win to set up a quarter-final derby clash with Chelsea. We gained a huge advantage in the 1st leg by winning 2-1 away. This made the 2nd leg an easier game and then won that 2-0 to go through 4-1. In the semi-final, we drew Manchester United and once again were handed an away leg in the 1st leg. We won that 1-0 before winning 3-1 at home to advance to the clubs first ever Champions League final against Barcelona. Tottenham won the game 1-0 with 2 Barcelona players getting sent off. Seydou Doumbia way key in his first season scoring 33 goals in 56 games.
Now we mean business.

Strangely Leeds won the previous seasons FA Cup so I had to play them in the Community Shield. I won that game 3-1. We also won the European Super Cup 2-0 against Arsenal and won the Club World Cup after a 1-0 win over Atletico Mineiro in the final. This turned out to be a season of all out attack as we scored and conceded plenty of goals. We lost 4-2 to Manchester United in the League Cup semi's and then lost 5-2 to the same opponents in the FA Cup after a replay. The 1st game finished 2-2. Manchester continued our cup woes, but this time it was City beating us 6-3 in the Champions League quarter-finals. But the season wasn't a total failure as we once again won the league. The main surprise was Norwich City finishing in 6th place, just above Arsenal in 7th.
For the first time, we had 3 players with 20 goals or more. Jovetic got 25 in 48, Doumbia got 24 in 44 and Sigurdsson got 20 in 39.

ML/AML - Nabil Bentaleb to Bolton - £700k

DL - Pep to Levante - £2.5m (REGEN)
All of my signings this season were promising young players. I had been chasing Denis Iannone for about 3 or 4 seasons and finally got him. He'd hardly been getting a game at Inter but went straight into my starting XI as Baines had begun to decline. Jacobo Robles was a free transfer from Real and he will be a handy back up DR or DL in the future. Lu Bofei, also from Real, scored an impressive 44 goals in just 47 games for Real's 'B' team last season. Already the best Chinese player on the game with big potential. Scott Hamilton is the future king of the England midfield. I first saw him when I played against Norwich and he was by miles their best player. I signed him just after that game in January. Alessandro Morelli was a signing I couldn't believe I pulled off. His 5 star potential and 4.5 star current ability mixed with his young age meant I should've had to pay around £40m or more for him. But for some reason Juventus didn't offer him a new contract and I pursuaded him to come to Spurs on a free.
The season begun as usual with my winning of the Community Shield 4-2 over Everton. But the season didn't continue in normal fashion as this was the season I began to bring in regens to rebuild my squad. We lost 2-1 to QPR in the League Cup quarter-final before suffering a shock 3-1 defeat at Watford in the FA Cup 4th round. A slump in form around mid season meant a final finishing position of 3rd in the league. The only positives from the season were that our young players managed to win Tottenham's 2nd Champions League title with a repeat of the scoreline from 2 seasons earlier. Tottenham 1-0 Barcelona. Seydou Doumbia also continued his great goalscoring form with 28 goals in 48 games. Centre back Jan Vertonghen also managed to get double figures with 11 in all competitions.

Transfers in:
AMR/MR - Ousmane Keita from Lyon - £20m (REGEN)
DM/MC/AMC/AML - Cesar Armendariz from Estudiantes - £17.5m (REGEN)
Transfers out:
ML/MC - Kwadwo Asamoah to Inter - £7.5m
MC/DMC - Jucilei to A.Madrid - £5m
DC - Francisco Luis to Real Sociedad - £4.5m (REGEN)
MR/AMR - Aaron Lennon to Newcastle - £2m
ST - Souleymane Coulibaly to Everton - £4.4m
The summer began by buying 2 more youngsters to add to my already young team. Keita has the potential to be one of the best AMR's around. I was also pleased to sell Asamoah and Jucilei for a combined total of £12.5m. They were only backup and were signed on free transfers originally.
For once there was no Community Shield but there was a European Super Cup to be contested. We won that convincingly 3-0 over Leverkusen. The draw for the Champions League group wasn't very kind. It was Tottenham, Inter, PSG and Levski Sofia. It was tough, but we got through unbeaten. But little did we know that this would go on to be the hardest Champions League run we've ever had. In the knockout round, we beat Bayern Munich after losing the first leg 1-0 only to then get AC Milan in the quarter-final. We beat them too and then got Manchester City in the semi-final. We lost the first leg by 1 goal but were able to come back and win to set up a final against Manchester United. The final was a close game, but we ended up winning 2-1 to seal our 3rd Champions League title. The Club World Cup was also added to the victory list earlier in the season as we beat Santos 2-0 in the final.
Domestically, it was the same story. The 2019 season was easily the most successful season in the clubs history. We won the Premier League by a large margin undefeated, we beat Brighton in the FA Cup final 5-1 and Wigan 2-0 in the League Cup final. Demba Dieng was vital to all this success as he scored 38 goals in 61 games. What made all these accomplishments all the more satisfying was the fact that we did it with an incredibly tough run in. The last 13 games in all competitions looked like this: AC Milan, Manchester City, AC Milan, Everton, Ipswich, Manchester City, Sunderland, Manchester City, Manchester City, Brighton, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United. Its fair to say that the players were knackered, but they did it and we won 6 trophies in 1 season. Just 1 trophy shy of my original goal of winning all 7.

AMR/AML - Wilfried Zaha to QPR - £7.5m
DC - Steven Caulker to Everton - Swap Deal
ST - Gustavo to Dortmund - £2.2m Loan (REGEN)
Lots of transfer activity in this season. Young Brazilian forward Gustavo was a steal at just £2m and then my money was instantly recovered by loaning him out to Dortmund with them paying a loan fee of £2.2m. Latorre went in the other direction leaving Dortmund for Spurs. At £40m (after add ons) he is the most expensive player in the clubs history. He became a Chile international while still a teenager and has amassed over 60 caps before his 23rd birthday. He will definatly go on to be one of the best defenders of all time. Zaha and Meyer both left after troubled times, mainly on the bench, for prices that see me make a big loss on them both. Coulibaly rejoined the club in a swap deal with Caulker just 1 year after being sold to Everton.
After winning 6 trophies last season, I felt this was the season we'd get all 7. It started well with a 1-0 win over Manchester United in the Community Shield and a 4-1 win over Leverkusen in the European Super Cup. Not too far down the line was the Club World Cup. Surprisingly no South American club made it to the final so I played Mexican team America in the final, beating them 5-1. But then just when it seemed nothing could go wrong, a 9-7 defeat in the League Cup semi-final to Newcastle ruined our hopes of 7 trophies. We wrapped up the title not long after this but then lost the Champions League semi-final to Barcelona thanks to an injury time winner to send them into the final. Had that not gone in, we would've won on away goals. But the season did end with glory as we beat Arsenal 2-0 in the FA Cup final. Sigurdsson impressed again after hitting the 20 goal mark for 2 seasons in a row. Demba Dieng also kept up his good goalscoring form to make it 65 goals in 114 games over the last 2 seasons.
Now we have to get ready to do it all over again in the 2020-21 season. Will it be our year?

Well, as you know by now, my target is to win all 7 trophies in 1 season. First match of this season we lose 2-1 to Manchester United in the Community Shield. Well thats this season already gone then. Joe Hart has won the golden glove award in nearly every season so far for Manchester City. But we managed to beat them 4-1 and 3-0 over the course of the season. There was also a nice 5-1 thrashing of Chelsea.
The draw for the Champions League group stages was easy. We did have AC Milan but they don't have any decent players anymore and we went through unbeaten. The League Cup provided us with an early exit after losing 2-1 to Liverpool in the 4th round. The FA Cup was no different. Also in the 4th round, we lost 2-1 at home to Newcastle, our first home defeat in any competition since January 2018.
In January, we managed to sign 19 year old wonderkid Madson from Mineiro for £29m with add-ons. We also managed to agree a deal with Cristiano Ronaldo to join us in the summer after his contract expired. Despite being in his mid thirties, he is still one of the best players in the world. Back into europe, we drew Ajax in the first knockout round. A 1-1 away draw was followed up with an easy 3-0 home victory to see us into the quarter-final. January signing Madson played in both games. He scored 1 goal and missed a penalty in both games, but this was just a sign of what was to come. Our next opponent was the mighty Real Madrid. Future Spurs player Ronaldo put Madrid 1-0 with a free kick, but then Madson showed him who the new star is by scoring a hat trick in a 4-1 win at the Bernabeu. Madson scored again in a 3-2 win at home in the second leg, to send us into a semi final rematch from last year with Barcelona. This year, there would be no mistakes and no last minute Barcelona winners. Madson once again was the star of the show, scoring another hat trick in a 4-0 home win. In the second leg, Barcelona had to score 4 to have any chance of going through. They did score 4, but so did Spurs as this astonishing match ended 4-4 with Barcelona striker Dongou getting a hat trick. The final would then be contested between Spurs and Manchester City. The final was surprisingly one sided as Spurs cruised to a 2-0 win to claim the 4th Champions League win in the clubs history. The league title was also wrapped up with games to spare to make it 6 titles in 7 seasons.
Madson averaged nearly a goal every game and despite joining in January, he finished as Spurs' top scorer. He also topped the Champions League scoring charts with 10 goals in 7 games. He is already looking a bargain at just £29m, lets hope he can fire us to 7 trophies next season!
Here he is, the one to fire us to glory! (hopefully)

I saw that Morelli had potential, but to get him on a free transfer was crazy. He has turned into one of the best players on the game and is probably my best player at the moment.
Kaboul and Vertonghen were regulars for me from 2012 up to 2019. But they were getting on a bit and I felt I needed a new DC to help buid for the future. Latorre was the best DC available and with add-ons, he cost us £40m. Vertonghen is still going strong and is his current DC partner. With 81 caps to his name at the age of just 25, you would imagine he could reach 150 caps, maybe more depending on the date of his international retirement.
He took about 18 months to get into the first team and is developing into one of the finest right wingers out there.
I had been tracking Iannone for 3 seasons before I got him. I tried signing him numerous times without success. But when I did sign him, it was at the perfect moment. Baines had begun to decline very quickly and he has been just as good, if not better than Baines since he arrived.
Walker has been good, but he is now 30. Not only is Hutar a lot younger, he is in fact a lot better. Numerous bids in the summer transfer window of 2020 were rejected with Ajax holding out for a fee of over £40m. But on transfer deadline day, I put in one final offer of £30m and it was accepted. He is now a regular in my team.
I was first alerted to the talents of Scott Hamilton in a match between Spurs and Norwich. He was playing for Norwich and was easily their best player. I decided to scout him and watch his progress. Not long after this, I signed him for a bargain £9.75m and he has gone on to take Dembele's spot in midfield and also play regularly for England.
Gustavo has the potential to be one of the best strikers in the world. I very nearly didn't sign him to begin with. I was battling with Manchester United for another young Brazilian player but decided against him at the last minute and searched for others in Brazil. I then found Gustavo and managed to get him for just £2m. If he fulfills his potential, this should go down as bargain of the century. So far he gets the occasional start and has done ok. I loaned him out to Dortmund shortly after signing him and recieved £2.2m as a loan fee.
Much like Keita, he took a while to get into the first team. In his first season as a regular in 2018-19, he was the clubs top scorer and helped us achieve an unbeaten season in the league. His form has worsened slightly each season since then and is now coming under threat from Gustavo and Madson for the lone striker role. Madson usually plays in the AMC role so the battle will most likely be between Dieng and Gustavo.

As this is the first season i've started since writing this story, it won't be all in one massive chunk. If the regens are any good, I will screentshot them.
Summer Transfers in:
AML/AMR/ST - Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid - £0
DL/WBL/DC - Kahraman Eyiol from Galatasaray - £0 (REGEN)
Iker Casillas - Under 18's GK Coach
Eyiol was signed purely as a backup to Iannone and was a free transfer. Ronaldo has also joined on a free, but will have to play second fiddle to Morelli at the moment. He will obviously get plenty of game time though.
Summer Transfers out:
DC - Younes Kaboul - Retired
ST - Souleymane Coulibaly to Juventus - £12m
ST/AMC - Dillon Honeyball to Stoke - £5.75m (REGEN)
ST - Josh Bauckham to Leeds - Loan (£1.1m optional fee) (REGEN)
ST - Lu Bofei to AC Milan - Loan (£10m optional fee) (REGEN)
Its a sad day as club legend Younes Kaboul retires. The only positive is that it now allows a youngster to come through and show what he has got. He played 345 games and scored 38 goals for Spurs and also made 61 appearences for France with just the 1 goal He has since decided to take up coaching.
Coulibaly had a troubled time at Spurs, but has now left for Juventus after being loaned out to Atletico Madrid last season. Dillon Honeyball never reached the heights I thought he would and has now left permanently for Stoke City. Bauckham and Bofei haven't progressed well either but have only been loaned out. Their loan clubs have an option to buy them permanently should they wish.

The Community Shield featured two fierce rivals, although the action on the pitch didn't suggest anything of the kind. Despite commiting 26 fouls, there was just the 1 yellow card for Arsenal, to midfielder Will Hughes. Arsenal were kept quiet for a majority of the game but the one time seriously threatened, they scored. It turned out to be just a consolation goal though. Cristiano Ronaldo made his debut for Spurs coming off the bench to replace Morelli in the second half.
We now face our first 2 league games of the season before we face Arsenal yet again, this time in the European Super Cup.

Another cup win against Arsenal. This time in the European Super Cup, it went all the way to penalties after a 0-0 draw. The match was largely uneventful with Spurs hitting the cross bar twice.

Shortly before the latest match against Arsenal, the draw for the Champions League group stage was made.
Red Star are likely to be the whipping boys of the group, so 4 potentially tricky games against Dortmund and Roma will decide our fate.

Nice!
I've just got another one done so hopefully I can do it this season. This is the strongest squad i've ever had and those regens are destroying everyone I play.
bmg033
September resumed after the international break with a surprise defeat away at Burnley. Although they did prove it wasn't a one off performance against us as they went and won their next game 2-0 away at Arsenal. A largely rotated sqaud played in the 4-1 victories over Red Star and Blackburn before we suffered a second straight loss in the league at Newcastle. I made some changes to the starting XI for the Everton game, and it couldn't have gone any better. It was one of the most dominant performances we've had since i've been in charge, with Everton failing to get a single shot off all match during our 3-0 win.
After that, we had the leagues inform team, Manchester City, visiting us. They were top of the league having won every match so far this season. The match couldn't have gotten off to a worse start when our best defender, Nelson Latorre, was shown a straight red in the 20th minute. I decided to sacrifice striker Demba Dieng as he hasn't been very productive this season so far, and brought on Julio Hernando at centre back. Madson then moved from AMC up to ST to make a 4-4-1 formation. 15 minutes later, City took the lead and the first half finished 0-1. But that was as good as it got for the away side and with 22 minutes to go, we equalised through Madson. Ousmane Keita then came on for Cristiano Ronaldo and scored what turned out to be the winning goal to make it 2-1. Despite playing with 10 men for 70 minutes, we still dominated a Manchester City side that had won every match they had played this season. Very promising signs of a strong team.
We finished the month off with a draw at Dortmund. We really should've won the game, but Dortmund caught the defence napping and scored a 93rd minute equaliser.

October started with 2 awful results away at Aston Villa and Chelsea. 0 goals scored and 5 conceded made it 4 straight away defeats in the league. After these results, I decided to call a team meeting explaining that this wasn't good enough and that performances needed to improve. Captain Hugo Lloris agreed with me and Ronaldo also said that he is glad we are all on the same page. I made several changes to the squad for the upcoming run of 4 home games in a row. This included Demba Dieng being dropped completely from the matchday 18. This had a tremendous effect as rarely used players such as Bale, Pedro and Armendariz stepped up and helped us finish the month with 4 straight wins. We finished October 7th in the league.
The Champions League is looking a bit better than the league table though, as we sit top with 7 points from the first 3 games.
Lets hope our star players pull their fingers out and start performing to the level required. None of them are undroppable as I showed with main striker Dieng. He will have to make do with substitute appearences for now, until he starts scoring again.
bmg033
Our good form carried on into November. Despite our poor recent away form, we managed to win 2-1 away at AS Roma in the Champions League. We then ended our away day losing streak in the league by drawing 1-1 with Stoke. Ipswich and Red Star were both hit for six before we finished the month with a 1-0 win over Arsenal. That win against Red Star confirmed our qualification to the knockout rounds and just a draw with Dortmund in the final Champions League group game, would see us progress as group winners.
bmg033
The third of a potetnial 7 trophies was won in the Club World Cup. This is the second time we've met Atletico Mineiro in the final, and the second time we've beaten them 1-0. Madson claimed the player of the tournament award.
Dan
bmg033
Well, we'll need to start winning more away games in the league if we are to win the league. From August to November, we've had 1 away win and haven't been in the top 4 all season, despite winning the first 2 games. This is going to be some achievement if we do it this season.
bmg033
December kicked off with a 5-0 thumping of Borussia Dortmund to confirm our status as group winners. Not long after this game, the draw for the first knockout round was made. It was kind to us as out of the potential opponents, I was hoping to face either Real Betis or Sporting Lisbon and we got the latter.
We then beat ES Tunis and Atletico Mineiro to claim a record 4th Club World Cup. Out of our remaining 5 games in December, 4 of them were away. This meant we had to pick up our away form and start winning, because if we didn't, we'd lose touch with the top teams. Surprisingly, we won 3 and drew 1 of the away games conceding just 1 goal. This now means we are still in the race for the league title. It will be tough though, as the Manchester teams seem to be winning nearly every match they play.

As its the end of December, that can only mean one thing. The global award ceremony!
After some of my players having exceptional years in 2021, I expected to see some of them do well here.
To start, the European Golden Boy award goes to...
Next up, The World Team of The Year
Not bad, 6 of our players made it into the XI. Not sure why they've put Madson at MC though!
Now for the big one, the World Golden Ball.
We had 6 players nominated for this award: Madson, Morelli, Iannone, Latorre, Keita & Hutar.
The top 3 candidates turned out to be:
Neymar of Manchester United
Madson of Tottenham Hotspur
Messi of Barcelona
And the World Golden Ball goes to...
Wow, what a surprise (NOT). To be honest, I expected it to be a straight fight between Madson and Neymar. But despite playing fewer games, scoring less goals and getting fewer assists, Messi has won the award for an 8th time. Still, there is no shame in coming 2nd to him.
bmg033
January provided us with a crazy fixture list. 10 games in 1 month. At one point we had 4 games in 6 days! Luckily this incredibly congested fixture list didn't cost us a chance at a trophy as we beat Newcastle 6-2 in the League Cup semi final and Staines 3-1 in the FA Cup. Unfortunatly we did lose 2 league games. The home defeat to Burnley was our first home loss in the league since January 2018. An incredible run.
