The Capital One Cup final is against Arsenal, so it will be the third time this season we've had to play them for a trophy. Lets hope we win again!
bmg033
An even game decided by clinical finishing. Both teams had a similar amount of shots, but it was once again Spurs who triumphed over Arsenal. 3 of our 4 trophies this season have been won against Arsenal. The FA Cup won't be added to this list though, as we have been drawn with them before the final.
Keita had been quiet this season when compared to last season. But he showed why he is a regular for me and France by popping up with a hat trick when it mattered most! Sandro had to go off injured in the 69th minute, but afterwards, it was discovered that he would be out for a few days, not a few weeks as first feared.

February was nearly as hectic as January. In the FA Cup, I have resorted to using our backup players to help keep my main players fit and healthy for the league and european games. Millwall managed to steal a draw with the backups, so I went full strength in the replay to avoid any chance of an upset. It was an easy month, with only 3 of the 8 games worth anything. We managed to win all 3 of them. 1-0 away at Manchester City, 2-1 away at Sporting Lisbon and 3-1 over Arsenal in the cup final.
In other news, I released one of our youth players. He had been repeatedly missing training sessions this season, all of them as a result of going out the night before and getting pissed down the pub. He always claimed his innocence though, which is clear proof he got drunk. Now he can go and get smashed whenever he wants.
bmg033
We began the month by scoring 16 goals in the first 4 games. This included 5 in a 5-3 win over Sporting Lisbon to see us through to the Champions League quarter final. Just after this match, the draw for the next round was made.
Champions League Quarter Final Draw
Once again, the draw has been kind to us. We should easily beat Schalke. In fact, we did, the tie is over after the first leg. A 4-1 away means there has got to be no chance of a Schalke comeback. Surely?
March turned out to be a month of goals. We played 8 games, scored 31 goals and conceded 10. The most impressive was the 5-0 demolition of Chelsea. Their manager, Paulo Sergio, had been telling the media how Chelsea were going to win and that Spurs were outsiders for the game. I told the media something very different, something that included so much swearing, that even Gordon Ramsey would've applauded . Weirdly the FA didn't care, so I carried on slagging Paulo Sergio off. Then after the beating had ended, I gave the media some more 'choice words' about his comments. Maybe he should be quiet next time!

Despite all those goals and wins, i'm only top of the league by 1 point. After the next 2 games, I could be 4th, its that tight. I have to play Liverpool, Manchester United & Arsenal in April, so the title race is still open!
bmg033
Rather than do it by month, i'm going to split the remaining fixtures up into 4 parts. The first half, Matchday 35, Matchday 36 and then The second half.
Unfortunatly, the start of April didn't go quite as smoothly as March. We began by drawing at home to Liverpool in a match we really should've won. Next was the 2nd leg of the Schalke tie. But as the first match finished 4-1 to Spurs, I fielded a slightly weakened team. We had 38 shots against them but fell to a 1-0 loss. Schalke had 1 shot on target all game, and it went in. Next up was the north London derby. It was the 6th time we'd met this season, with Spurs winning the previous 5. In fact, we hadn't lost to Arsenal since 2014. But this time, Arsenal managed to win. It was 0-0 at half time, but then they quickly raced into a 3-0 lead. 2 late goals for Spurs gave us hope, but it was too late.
A slightly easier game against Sunderland was next up, again with a weakened team, but this time we won, 5-3. I brought the big guns back for the FA Cup semi against Nottingham Forest and they did all the business in the first half as we won 3-0. A Champions League semi against Bayern promised to be a tough game. But for some reason, Bayern totally collapsed and the tie is over after the 1st leg. We ran out 5-0 winners with Madson putting in a performance which even got Bayern manager Pep Guardiola praising him in the post match press conference.

With just 4 games to go, the race for the title couldn't be any closer. Just 1 point between the top 3. The title race is made even more exciting with a quick glance at the final 4 fixtures. They include both Spurs and Manchester City going to Old Trafford. So with both rivals going to their home and with a superior goal difference, the title in very much in Manchester United's hands.
At the bottom, West Brom have already been relegated. It will take something close to a miricle to stop Reading joining them in the Championship next year. While Swansea are only 5 points from safety, it will take a huge effort to stay up with just 4 games remaining.

Matchday 35 saw Manchester United host Spurs and Manchester City visit Arsenal. Liverpool still have a chance of winning the title, but it is very unlikely. They had a home game against Aston Villa.
The early kick off was the biggest game of the day. Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur. These two teams contain the 2 deadliest strike forces in the world. Neymar & Gabbiadini of Manchester United and Madson & Dieng of Spurs. 4 strikers easily capable of reaching anywhere from 30-50 goals per season each.
As you'd expect, the game was very close. Gabbiadini gave the hosts an early lead in the 4th minute, but after some changes in the 2nd half, substitute Mousa Dembele leveled the scores from the edge of the box. Both teams had chances to win, but it finished 1-1.
Liverpool were expected to beat Villa, and they did. A comfortable 3-1 victory for them.
The late kick off saw Mancester City visit Arsenal knowing that a win would take them 3 points clear. Thankfully for United and Spurs, it finished 0-0.
Also well done to Stoke on a thumping 5-0 win over Chelsea. 2 former Spurs players, Dillon Honeyball and Grant Hall getting on the scoresheet. This keeps Stoke in 5th, 5 points ahead of Arsenal with just 3 games left.
The upcoming Manchester derby is probably the biggest one in history. A win for either team would see them top the league. But a draw would give Spurs the chance to climb to the top.
bmg033
Once again, the early kick off was at Old Trafford. This time they hosted Manchester City. Both teams needed to win the match to go top. A draw was no good as that would present Spurs with a chance of going top later in the day when they went to Wigan. Outsiders for the title, Liverpool, faced Chelsea on Sunday.
A largely uneventful match finished 0-0. Manchester City failed to get a single shot on target, so the pressure got to them then! Our match was the late kick off, away at Wigan Athletic. Wigan have been hovering around the relegation zone, so I expected this to be a tricky match against a team fighting for their lives. Luckily, it wasn't tricky at all. We scored twice just before half time to calm the nerves a bit. But just 4 minutes into the 2nd half, Wigan pulled a goal back. Demba Dieng restored our 2 goal lead just 4 minutes later and then substitute Gylfi Sigurdsson made it 4-1 late on to send us to the top.
Liverpool are now mathematically out of the title race after they could only draw at home to an off form Chelsea on sunday.
Still tight, although we have to consider ourselves as favourites after the result in Manchester. No mistakes now.
bmg033
As you can see, we made it 5 out of 7 trophies so far. The only goal of the game coming from the former Norwich player, Scott Hamilton. We battered them all game, but just the 1 goal was scored. But while we were contesting the FA Cup final, there was some interesting news coming from the league games being played. Manchester United had suffered a 2-0 loss away at Newcastle. That meant if City could beat Sunderland, United would be out of the title race. City did just that, they won 7-0 with Sergio Aguero scoring 4 of the goals. This left City on 81 points with 37 played, Spurs on 79 with 36 played, and United on 77 with 37 played. Our game in hand was played against West Brom in the middle of the next week. We won convincingly 5-0 to go back to the top of the table.
This left just Spurs and City for the title. These were the fixtures and table going into the last game:
City had an easy 3 points against West Brom, surely? For us, Watford was a bit trickier than their position would have you believe. Just the 3 draws for them shows that they are a 'gung ho' type of team. A dramatic last day was to come.
The City game remained 0-0 until the 32nd minute when they took the lead through an own goal. They doubled the lead on 41 minutes. At half time they were 2-0 up, while we were still locked at 0-0 with Watford despite dominating the game. Then just 1 minute into the 2nd half, City went 3-0. But just 1 minute after that, we had Sandro sent off for a second yellow. I substituted Dieng for Dembele and went 4-4-1. Watford then took the lead on 61 minutes, using the extra man to their advantage. I then took Keita and Morelli off and brought on Bale and Pedro. Both playing their last game for the club, Bale moving clubs and Pedro retiring, I figured they'd want to go out with a bang. 3 minutes later, Dembele equalised. On 71 minutes, we took the lead through Madson. I checked the City score and it was still 3-0 with City still on top. Strangely, we had Watford pinned back into their own box, despite playing with 1 fewer man. Then, Nelson Latorre jumped highest to head in a corner to make it 3-1 and just 5 minutes later, FA Cup final hero Scott Hamilton smashed in a 4th to secure the Premier League title for a 4th straight season and a 7th time in 8 years! City eventually made it 4-0, but it didn't matter now.

Final Premier League Standings
Now the only thing left, was the conclusion to our European adventure.
Going into the second leg, we had 5 players just 1 yellow card away from a suspension. As we won the 1st leg 5-0 against Bayern, I was left with 2 choices for the 2nd leg.
1 - Field a weakened team to protect the yellow carded players BUT risk letting Bayern back into the tie.
2 - Go full strength and see the tie out BUT risk losing some players for the final.
I decided to go with option 1.
Surprisingly, we went on to take a 2-0 lead. But afterwards, Bayern dominated the rest of the game coming back to win 4-2. So we reached the final after winning 7-4 over the 2 legs. Manchester United had won the other semi, so it was an all England showdown for the Champions League title.
Both teams were at full strength for this one. It was United who took the lead mid way through the 1st half thanks to a Gabbiadini goal. But just before half time, we equalised through Dieng. The 2nd half was 1 way traffic as Dieng got his 2nd goal of the game to make it 2-1 before Latorre nodded in a corner in the 69th minute to seal the match at 3-1! Neymar was kept very quiet and was taken off. He had been the best player in the league all season, so to limit the threat coming from him was brilliant.

Crazy. He was the Ballon D'or runner-up, the winner of PFA Young Player of The Year, Champions League Best Player, UEFA Best Player In Europe and Golden Boy 2021 and also featured in the Premier League Team of The Season, yet he does not make the Brazil squad for the Qatar World Cup. He is good enough to play for any team in the world, so this is a very strange decision.

Thanks! All i'm missing are some international trophies. But the FA keep rejecting me for some reason. When Hodgson retired, they said no to me and signed Brendan Rodgers instead. Then when he left, they went and got Gareth Southgate. The Qatar World Cup is currently being played, but I want England to lose so they sack Southgate, and then I can finally manage England...hopefully.
bmg033
Whilst all the action in the Premier League and Champions League was going on, I forgot to check my new youth players. I've never had one come through and make it into the first team on a regular basis before, but its lucky I rememberred to check this time as I found this guy in the youth squad.
Lets hope he makes it. The nearest i've had to someone making it to the first team is an AML I got in the very first season. He is now 24 and has 78 first team appearences, although nearly all from the bench.
bmg033
The supporters voted for Nelson Latorre as their player of the season for the 2nd season running. He was a rock at the back and appeared in the Premier League and Champions League team of the seasons. He made 61 appearences and scored 6 goals during the historic 2021-22 season.

Spanish winger Pedro has retired just a few weeks before his 35th birthday after spending 8 seasons with the club. He was signed from Barcelona in the summer of 2014 for £17.5m and went on to make 230 appearences for us and scoring 41 goals. During his time here, he won every competition possible and retired with an impressive 42 winners medals to his name. He also represented his country Spain 53 times, scoring 15 goals. He won the 2010 & 2014 World Cups and the 2012 European Championship with the national team. He has also decided he isn't going to stay in football as a manager/coach/scout.
bmg033
As I was saying, I wanted England to lose in the World Cup. They did and Southgate resigned from the job. Just days later, this happens:
About flipping time!
I will continue as manager of Spurs whilst managing England.

Thanks, they gave me the job, finally. Next up for England is a very easy qualifying group.
I shall try to win Euro 2024 which will be held in Italy. The Winners of the 2022 Qatar World Cup were Mexico. They beat Brazil 1-0 in the final.
bmg033
My managerial debut for England couldn't have gone much better. A convincing 4-0 victory over Slovakia with Ross Barkley getting a hat trick after just 21 minutes. We dominated the match but could only get 1 more goal in the 28th minute through Raheem Sterling. Hopefully the players will learn my formation quickly so we can make qualifying a bit easier.

Thought i'd see if I can make Rangers the new Scottish champions by loaning them my upcoming youth players. They're in europe every season as they always come 2nd to Celtic, so it will be a good experience for my players.
bmg033
I love my scouting team. Every season they seem to come up with an absolute beast like this. He was previously playing for Wydad Casablanca in Morocco and scored 44 goals in 50 games. He also has 13 Belgium U21 caps with 7 goals. Not bad considering he's only 18! His current ability is 2* but he has a potential ability of 5*. This guy is surely going to be the best player on the planet.
I signed him for just £1m, with the fee potentially rising to £3.5m with add ons. Best bargain ever?
