Pretty bad first month of the season. Some good results but mostly bad. Got knocked out of the league cup as well.

September
September started off with another defeat which also meant that I'm out of another competition. Tweaked my tactic slightly and the results have improved since then. A draw at Cheltenham followed by another away win at Burton. We should have beaten Fleetwood for our first home win but conceded a late goal. Another away, this time at York, ended off the month in a good way. I'll be looking to strengthen the defence in January, hopefully.
---
Cheers mate. Just like you said, things have gotten better. September was the same. Two away wins and none at home.

OCTOBER
Just when I thought things were going well, we lost our first match of October. Followed that up with two wins at Plymouth as well as our first home win against Bury. A loss against Wycombe and a draw at Torquay ended off the month. Still need to fix the tactic defensively.

NOVEMBER
November was another mixed month. Mostly terrible. Two wins to start off the month had me thinking we could turn this around. Three straight defeats then followed. Really struggling to get even a bit of form. Ended off with another away win.

DECEMBER
December was more of the same. A good win over League 1 outfit Gillingham was followed by two straight losses. Was happy enough to win two matches at home after that.

JANUARY
What a month! Finally got that form we've been desperately needing. We got our revenge over Southend after the 6-0 loss in November, with a 1-0 away win. Followed that up with a massive 3-2 win over Championship side Bournemouth. One win over Accrington was then followed by another loss to Oxford. We stayed unbeaten for the remaining 4 matches. We won three league games and drew our match with MK Dons in the 4th round of the FA Cup. This good run has gotten us into the playoff spots.

FEBRUARY
Started off february from where we left off January. A league win against Torquay was followed by a win over MK Dons which saw us go into the fifth round of the FA Cup. Next saw us beat Exeter with a slender 1-0 scoreline with the goal coming in the first half of the game. We lost to Crystal Palace in the fifth round of the Fa Cup, where Chamakh ran riot. Next two matches ended in draws which also meant we were unbeaten in the league in the month of February. Quite pleased overall.
The recent good run has gotten us further up the table, as we end February in 4th spot.

Yeah he is. Holmes, Barcham and Vassell and banging the goals in for me.

MARCH
March started on a bad note with a narrow 1-0 loss to Chesterfield. Next, we drew with Cheltenham, twice conceding our lead. We followed that up with a home win against Burton with Jed Wallace and Jake Jervis netting the goals. We lost to Fleetwood in the next game with Wes Fogden scoring the only goal for us. Another 2-0 home win, this time against York, with Jervis getting the motm award. The month ended off with two 1-0 losses against Rochdale and Newport.
We have slipped down to 7th after the poor run of results this month. Injuries are really hurting us especially in this crucial period.

HOW THE SEASON ENDED
As you can see, our form never really picked up again and it went downhill from March. A goalless draw against Hartlepool as we started off the month of April. This was followed by a 2-1 loss against Dag & Red with Jody Morris scoring the only goal for us. A 2-0 loss against Bristol Rovers at Fratton Park was followed by a 2-1 win over Northampton where Arsenal loanee Tarum Dawkins scored the winner. Bury thrashed us by three goals in the second last match of the season. The last match was a goal fest, which saw us give up 5-2 lead, with the match ending 5-5.
We ended up 11th in the league.
Pretty poor season overall.

Final Comments:
I'm very pleased with how the pre-season went. I'm going for a more attacking 4231 this season. The signings have settled in very well and as you can see the defence has been improved significantly. I hope that the season will be more of the same. Going into the league on a positive note.
