Like you say there are players who are ineligible/suspended so the team wont be much different from your regular starting lineup, aside from the players who are out injured it'd pretty much be the strongest team you could put out regardless.

Pretty much.

The midfield more or less picks itself; Lampard, Mikel, Matic, Salah. With Van Ginkel maybe making his return with some minutes from the bench. Upfront it will most likely be one of Torres or Ba, given that Eto'o will probably start the second leg against Atletico. The defence seems the most likely area where some change will be had.

Will still be a decent starting eleven, just not our strongest.

THEORY: Mourinho is trying to get sacked to get the Utd job

Given that his agent is Jorge Mendes, if he wants the United job, he could just start the murmurs himself via his people and United would probably come in with an offer.

THEORY: Mourinho is trying to get sacked to get the Utd job

I've noticed a few of people writing about that, focussing on his comments after the Atletico game as a sign of trying to get Roman to sack him, or it's an indication that their relationship is still bad.

I don't think I believe it though, it's a bit of a stretch. I still think he wants the United job, but I doubt he'd want to leave Chelsea right now.

And Sir Bobby might have a say, he doesn't like Jose.

Mick McCarthy will be livid

Add Ian Holloway to that and Neil Warnock (I think) who was livid when Man United fielded a weak team against West Ham in the whole Tevez debacle. If action isn't taken when it happens it's shocking really

It's complete nonsense. I don't know why anyone would think Mourinho would still be after the United job now that he's back at Chelsea - a club that gives him tens upon tens of millions to spend on players and where the fans worship him like a God. I don't know why he would throw all of that away on the off chance that the powers that be at United have changed their mind and want him.

Ramires receives a 4 game ban for slapping Seb Larsson during the Chelsea-Sunderland game.

Sounds about right.

As expected he's out for our game with them now, happy days. Not that he's been all that impressive this season, just turned into the Brazilian Shawcross.

Why 4 games?

Violent conduct is a 3 game ban in a game? Why is it extended because the ref missed it?

'The ban includes three games for this offence plus an additional game for his sending off at Villa Park last month.'

Tbf, Everton's performance in this game has nothing to do with their game against you lot.

But yeah, you were awful.

I know, they weren't great against us though, we were just terrible. They lost to Palace a few days before playing us, and losing again.

Bad run of form at the worst time.

I've only just noticed it was a second own goal, brilliant.

With Arsenal's last 3 games, that's pretty much 4th sorted.

Two goals for Fulham in the first 5 minutes of the second half. As it stands they'll be out of the bottom 3.

And to think they were dead and buried only 4 weeks ago.
