After 12 games we sit 2nd, 1 point off top with 2 games in-hand. We had poor end to September, but all in all, a pretty good start to life in the Skrill Premier. With our injury list at an all-time high I've moved to bring in a short-term fix - Anthony Furlonge on a 3-month loan from Stevenage.

Despite a Larsson penalty miss, we've managed to get back to winning ways! Connor Hunte and Larsson were on target to record another home victory. Hopefully that ends our bad run - fingers crossed!

It was 1st v 2nd as the leagues two tops sides, Eastleigh and Grimsby go head-to-head. We had 16 shots to their measly 3! Our profligacy has kept us from really running away with this division. A win here would have had all promotion contenders worrying.

Another draw, as a cruel 92nd minute equaliser downs my depleted side. Before the game we added two new players - Sean Goss and Tom Halsall. To be honest we should have been able to postpone the match. I had half my side out injured or on international duty; Halsall had to come in otherwise I wouldn't even have had a GK for the game.
Despite having hardly any players available to me, I really though we might have nicked it when Caleta-Car rose highest to head home the opener. The equaliser was a real kick in the teeth.

Sutton Utd 1 - 2 Eastleigh
We lost 3-2 last time we played away to Sutton, so getting a result today wasn't a given. I'm so pleased that we were able to seal a BIG win and secure our safe passage into the next round. Last season we were the biggest underachievers in the FA Cup, getting knocked out in the 2nd Qual. Rnd against Folkestone. We're already doing better than last year!

Hunte scores a brace to get us back to winning ways in the league. Hunte was really impressive today; we're getting a lot of players back from injury now so hopefully we can recapture the form we showed at the start of the campaign. The significance of today's result is that it was away to one of the league's top sides; very promising - we're getting better!
