You've read the books then?

Quick question, I'm about half way through the third, and I understand that the fourth and fifth books chronologically take place at the same time?

If so, is it split geographically? Like, does one focus on Westeros and the other Daenerys?

Although please don't tell me if you can't do so without spoilers. Don't mention specific characters etc. (Dany aside).

Yeah pretty much as you said it tbh. A Dance with Dragons concentrates on Dany and stuff involving Winterfell and The Wall and A Feast for Crows concentrates more on Kings Landing and the rest of mid to south Westeros. Character wise its all split up too any with i think only one character appearing in both. The timelines differ slightly bit but its essentially the same

I'm just wondering which characters are focused on in the fourth, and which are focused on during the fifth, since they take place simultaneously so I assume no character will appear in both.

But I don't wanna spoil anything so I want to know, for example, does the fourth book focus on Kings Landings and the fifth on the North/Wall? How have th characters been divided?

Oh right I get you. Adding to what was said above book 5 has probably double if not more character POVs then the rest of the books

Man, that was a good episode. A bit of a slow burner but things are progressing nicely. The trial was the highlight and Peter Dinklage absolutely killed it in those last few minutes. Such an outstanding actor.

Also, Oberyn is absolutely brilliant. He's the best character in the show right now.

I thought the same, but apparently it was mentioned in season 1.

Yeah I remember it being mentioned in season one, when King Robert was at the small council meeting discussing the idea of killing Dany.

Yup, and when he was gave a letter pardoning him by a young boy, who mentions the Spider (Varys). Just before the wine guy tried to kill Dany, and Jorah foiled it.

Great episode, bit of a step up from the last one no doubt.

Anyone else love Ramsey Snow? Maybe its just because he's Simon from Misfits but I love the scenes with him in. Seen a lot written about his storyline being the most disturbing but with Theon being one of the most wormy and annoying characters in the show I've loved watching his demise. A bit like Joffrey's death it was one of the most gruesome deaths in the show but I couldn't help smiling thewhole way through.

I heard that GRRM is releasing a prequel to the books, focusing on the Targaryan conquest and dynasty and eventually Robert Baratheon's rebellion. I'm looking forward to that.
