I'd much rather have the points than games in hand though George! Just hope we can hold our own till the end! The cups have been a massive boost financially for us!
Dan
How on earth are we meant to stay consistent when we are playing eleven yes eleven games in just twenty eight days! Very annoyed with our fixture congestion right now but we managed to pick up four wins from ten league games and one draw, the other five were defeats annoyingly! We have managed to win our first piece of silverware though winning the Manchester Premier Cup Final four one over Abbey Hey.
We are back on top and by just two points, however we do still have four games in hand which we need to continue winning to stay clear! We have another nine league games to play this season and they are all squeezed into the final month of April! Its going to be a busy one!
Not a bad intake for a squad our size but I doubt many of them will turn into anything for us. Hopefully we can sign the better ones and develop them! All suggested by my assistant will be signed.

Not sure if it was 'great' Shedender, but we done what we needed to thats for sure!

Oh yeah take nothing away from the team they performed when we needed them to!

A very 'homely' feel to the final month of the season as we faced nine games, with seven at home and two away from home. Our home games saw us win six and draw one whilst our two away games proved to be our downfall as we slipped to a draw and a defeat on the final day of the season. However I was pleased we kept five clean sheets from the nine league games to finish the season off.
We win the league by a massive eleven points come the end, could of been many more but our fixture congestion caught up with us. Stafford stepped into the playoff spot on the final day of the season after beating us three one and they went on to win the playoff final to earn promotion to Conference football with me. We were just four goals and seven points away from hitting a hundred on both categories.
I thought this would be worth showing. We are a non league team and ended up playing sixty six games this season! And brilliantly we won forty one of these (62%). I'm very pleased with our season, drawing thirteen and losing just twelve all season. Over the year we scored one hundred and forty one goals, conceding eighty.

Thanks Shedender!

Delighted that our first season was a record high for the club! Previous best was third which I think was the previous season but the top spot and promotion is now ours!
Team of the year has been announced, we had just three players mentioned in it, a little harsh I think because we've played so well all season. Newest signing Matt Edwards was named as keeper whilst Worsley was in central midfield and Lawrie out on the wing! Surprised Wolfenden didn't get named but Armstrong was golden boot winner.
This is fantastic news for the club! A little costly thats for sure but due to our decent runs in the FA cup and FA trophy it has allowed us to afford this without going into the black! Its good to see both the training and youth facilities going up at the same time. It will be key to our success these being upgraded regularly.
This will leave our balance a little dry but the fact we have afforded it without a loan debt or extra money being added in.
My special mention at the end of the season goes to this lad. Matty Wolfenden doesn't look much but he has been superb for us this season! He featured in sixty three out of sixty six of our total games this season, netting thirty nine goals in total! What a superb showing he made.

Dan
Thanks Jamie, it was rather straight forward for us, now for you to do it!

Here is our budgets for the new season, admittedly not the best budgets I've ever seen but due to the nature of our facilities going up it was expected. I have already brought in a few new faces which is why the wage budget is hardly raised from the proposed one. Hoping we don't need any more faces. The board want us to finish mid table. While the media are predicting a 14th place finish.

We are indeed Sean! I'm spending more on wages than I would of liked already so I may need to do a few sales this summer of the weaker players! But I'm hoping we can hold our own!
Dan
Wow the stakes are high then! Not sure if we will achieve that but we've been predicted fourteenth!

Transfers Out:
So far just three players have left the club this summer. All on free transfers which mean we haven't made any money on transfers this summer but its not a huge problem.
Transfers In:
We have spent money on new players this year but only twenty one thousand pounds. Six new players joined the team this summer and I'm excited by all six. Definitely feel we've strengthened this year. On the opening day of the summer we brought in sixteen year old promising midfielder Paul Kellett, sixteen year old defender Andy Parton and Phil Picken from Bury another defender. We then brought in defender come midfielder David Fitzpatrick. Our money was spent on new striker, veteran Steve Brooker whilst young Slovakian keeper Marko Marosi was our final signing.
Finances:
I must say, I'm delighted with the way our finances have bounced back over the summer. We've made nearly two hundred thousand pounds this summer which has now seen our budget rise back up to just short of the quarter of a million milestone! Our wages are a little more than I would like to be spending at this level but hopefully we can get by month to month.
Friendlies:
Friendlies weren't brilliant for us but don't read too much into them. We have been building all season and the new faces will be getting use to playing with the new team and into the new formations. Four wins, one draw and five defeats from the summer of 15' and now its just time to get on with the league season!
Wish me luck...
Dan
Goalkeepers:
We go into the season with three goalkeepers currently in the main squad and all three have a point to prove, I feel its good to have some healthy competition in the team! Jamie Spencer has been with the club since before my time but is aging and could soon be pushed out the door. Last seasons signing Matty Edwards is my number one and can still get better at twenty three years old whilst newest signing Marko Marosi has a point to prove and could soon become a big hit at the club.
Defenders:
Plenty of players in the defensive zones and plenty of potential quality which we could pull from that. Most of them play their best trade at right back but are versatile along the back line so this isn't an issue. Iqbal and Jones may be let go if I can find suitable replacements. Delighted with the capture of sixteen year old Andy Parton who could become massive here.
Central Midfielders:
Here are our central players, just four of them on the board at the moment and I;m not sure if I will look for anymore this season. We have Callum Byrne who can hold the line and another new signing in Paul Kellett, the young sixteen year old is another with a rather bright future I feel.
Attacking Players:
Delighted we have so many options to attack! Plenty of players to choose from to lead the front line and its looking likely to come down between twenty one year old Daniels, Matt Wolfenden, who were both superb for us last season and new summer signing Steve Brooker. On the wings we can rely on Wright and Lawrie whilst Walwyn is only seen as a backup here.
Dan
It was the clash of the 'new boys' for the opening game of the season as Corby were promoted last season from a different league as well as us. We battled straight to the top of the table as we stuffed Corby five nil on the opening day of the season. Fantastically Matty Wolfenden struck a sixteen minute hatrick for us.
