I wouldn't mind sneaking in but I really don't fancy going up this season, don't think we are ready!
Dan
Thanks man! It certainly keeps our hopes alive!

How do the valuations for the players you had offers for look now? What do you think you could get for them?
Dan
Thanks again chap! Promotion is looking possible but we'd need to be so consistant over the next two or three months which isn't like us at the moment.
As for the valuations. I've not got it loaded at the moment but I believe Parton is around 10k and Kellett is now valued at £20k. Rejected a couple of £350k bids for Kellett in January from Birmingham and Wolves but Celtic haven't come back. I don't honestly know what I could get for them now.
mr.SPANKY
Good luck with the rest of the season but promotion should probably wait another year I think.
Dan
Thanks man, appreciate the comment! As for promotion I'm dead on with you there, I honestly don't fancy going up three years running, the squad is set to grow and honestly think we could do it next year but this season would most definitely be a year too early!
Dan
As this is why we shouldn't get carried away, a quite frankly awful month in the league has brought us back down to earth as we picked up just three points from a possible twelve throughout February. We did however win the the FA Trophy and Manchester Cup Semi Finals which puts us into two finals towards the end of the season!
Well we slip back down the table as expected. We have slumped so far down and now sit back in thirteenth place! That just shows how close the table was last month! We need to bounce back through March if we are to finish in the top half, but as long as we don't completely slip now its fine!
Dan
Slovakian keeper Marko Marosi is set to leave the club in the summer after Birmingham came in with this massive bid for the twenty one year old. He was subject to a few bids in January but the board have accepted this one and he will soon be no longer with us.
Shedender
Dan
Without a doubt, he has potential but the money for him was too good! Where as Kellett I see a vital part of my team I feel I have a keeper just as good or even better than Marko!

Dan
Yeah it wasn't great but after the month we had before that maybe it was due! And yer I couldn't believe it!!
Dan
Wow goals galore throughout March as we bounced back brilliantly! We began straight away smashing Gateshead five two and then Alfreton six one as we seemed unstoppable. However we then lost back to back games against Dartford and Accrington. We went on to win the Manchester Premier Cup Final one nil over Droylsden Under twenty ones and ended the league month with a four nil win over Ebbsfleet, however our final game of the month was the FA Trophy..
Which we only went on to win!! For once, probably the first time ever, I set the team up with a defence mentality over my usual attacking and it worked! We beat Wrexham four three as Preston opened the scoring and Wolfenden put us two ahead from the spot. We then conceded a penalty before Lawrie netted a worldie to put us three one up at the break. Second half an own goal and then a third goal for Wrexham brought them back level, but a second goal and a second spot kick from Wolfenden secured the FA Trophy!
We are still in the top half of the Skrill Premier and I hope we can end there this season, thats our main aim however my ambitious one is for us to finish in the top ten! Any slight playoff hopes are done and dusted now but we will keep putting it in for the final month!
Here is my replacement for the outgoing Marko Marosi! I feel this Irish keeper will definitely feel his boots!
Johno
Such a shame that chairman accepted the bid over your head.
Dan
Thanks Johno, unexpected as Wrexham beat us earlier in the year but the defensive mentality worked!
As for the chairman accepting that offer, usually I'd be annoyed but seeming I would of accepted it I shall let it go this time!

Dan
Thanks chief, it was, I wanted to see him grow at the club but now we will take the money!
Dan
Thanks Jamie, it was superb to win it, the all out defence tactic worked! yeah I think the chairman was right on this one anyway!

Unexpected but I won't complain Shedender!

Thanks Sam!

Well not really the ideal way to end the season, in all fairness I feel the squad just ran out of legs towards the end and we had a hard run it which didn't help things at all. Just two wins in the final month, two draws and two defeats, I'm not going to grumble on too much about this month, we;ve had a superb season anyway.
Well, we easily met the boards objective, they wanted us to avoid relegation, the media predicted us to finish rock bottom where Havant and Waterlooville finished, but we defied the odds to finish all the way up in tenth place, securing a top half finish and inside the top ten which pleased me even more. Finishing eleven points outside the playoff zone come the end clearly showed we weren't ready for league football just yet!
Another sixty two games played this season, so its fair to say the team done brilliantly to remain in the top ten of the league whilst playing the extra games. This has seen us go up and over the one hundred wins barrier now, winning one hundred and five (58%), drawing thirty six and losing forty. We've scored three hundred and sixty eight, conceded two hundred and twenty six (goal difference of +142). We have also now gone on to win four cups and two league titles with promotions all in three years in charge!
willz121
Good luck Dan!
Dan
Thanks a lot Willz! Appreciate you taking time to read through, I always enjoy playing this save!
Dan
As expected, another ll time record high for the club, after last years promotion it was obvious we were set to make another record! Lets hope we can keep improving year on year!
This guy was my player of the year, he played brilliantly throughout the season despite transfer rumours and offers from bigger clubs he kept his composure and played on each month for us!
As soon as the deal was completed with Birmingham and the summer transfer window opened, this is how I spent my one point two million pounds, not on players, but on new facilities!
t-mase
Dan
Exactly my thoughts buddy, whilst I could spend that money on three or four complete stars for this level, I'd rather have the long term project in mind!
Dan
Well I was perhaps expecting a little more confidence from the board this year round after how well we done last year but for a second year in the Skrill Premier the board mearly want us to avoid relegation and thats it, whilst I think we could easily achieve a mid table if not another top half finish, I've stuck with their expectations for two reasons. One, it keeps the wage budget at its lowest meaning we aren't going to waste money. Two, its less expectations on myself!
And the finances, well they are rocking still despite our triple upgrade which we are carrying out. We still have four hundred thousand pounds in the balance and this is likely to increase this summer to as we have at least two players set to leave for a little bit of money. Our wage budget is over three thousand pounds under wage budget and we have almost half a million to spend on transfers!
