Now this is happening far too often for it to 'just be my strikers' or they're shooting from too far out. Ive left the player settings on their defaults so its nothing ive fiddled with. Its a fucking joke and has pretty much ruined a whole season for me.

I feel the same way.
I get truckloads of chances and all are missed or some are not even attempted by my strikers.
Do you also get a lot of goals against by mistakes of your defenders? The ones were they are asleep?

Yep, my defence at times just doesn't seem to move or they run like they're in quicksand. Now i understand you may get the odd game where things go wrong, but this is nearly every other match.

Was the same on FM2012, it feels that the better your team plays the less chance they have of winning?

What is your manager reputation/experience set to.

If you start as sunday league or semi-pro and take over at United/Arsenal/Chelsea (big teams) I've found you've a very tough time getting players to play for you consistently well.

My defenders just don't defend. Nearly every goal i concede is a mistake. I'm Arsenal aswell, mind ..
