To the Dream

This season is going the exact way I wanted it to go when I made wholesale changes at the start of the season. Flying in the league, most goals scored, least goals conceded.. not a complaint at all. All we need to do is replicate our form for the second half of the season and we will be a League 1 side. Happy days.

Oops. Look what I did... after sifting through pretty much the whole of Brazil for hours upon hours, I signed a talent capable of playing in the Premier League already at the age of 18, but no - he's playing for the mighty Whitehawk in League 2. And the worst part? It was on a Bosman from Vitória.. still can't believe it actually came off. Has the potential to be a star Premier League player.. madness.

So the final league table of our second season in League 2 sees us go up to League 1 as Champions, my second title in my time at Whitehawk. To be honest, this season it was never a doubt, especially with the acquisitions we made in the transfer windows. 108 league goals in total. 9 points clear. Decent.

As you can see Joe Lolley and Jake Hyde formed somewhat of a League 2 Sturridge and Suarez, haha. 57 league goals between them, very encouraging to see such a positive return from both of our strikers.

Totally forgot to do any Cupdates this season, but as you can see - we were shit. Other than the standard issue of making the FA Cup 3rd round, there wasn't a lot to shout about. Do feel Aston Villa were very lucky against us though, last minute equaliser for them. Meh.

Another ruthless summer in the transfer window. Again, got rid of players who did play a part in getting us to where we are, but cannot cut it at this level - loyalty has to reach a line when it comes to the abilities of players. Only spent £50k this window - on a single transfer, Matty Pearson joins from Tranmere. Quite pleased to bring it Willie Robb as he looks like he could turn into a player. Luke Daniels brings some experience to the table in our bid to reach the Championship. Matthew Eastham is dubbed the next Michael Owen so we'll see how that goes.
