In my eyes, compared to recent intakes it isn't up there, I like to see players who are already producing gold stars!

March is another month thats come and gone and its been an up and down month. We picked up four wins, two draws and three defeats in a very busy month for the club. We are now the FA Trophy holders after beating Barnet two nil in the final. Following our hiding from Bolton we smashed Wycombe five two.
We are up to third and each game that goes by you can see we are slowly blowing our advantage. We still have a few games in hand and we can still go to the top of the tree but only if we are near perfect from here on in. We have seven games left to play whilst Southend up the top just four games for them to play.

This is the issue with games in hand, they aren't guaranteed points and then when we play catch up we are playing double the games in a week others are!

Well the penultimate month of the season saw us play six of our remaining seven league games and it was another month to forget I suppose. We played six, won three lost three and thats not the form of league winning potentials thats for sure! We were well beaten at home by both Bury and Morecambe whilst Southend just pipped up after we took the lead. After a team meeting we performed much better for our final two league games beating Chesterfield five three and Leyton Orient three nil.
We are second and comfortably have now secured a playoff spot for the end of the season but could we go via straight promotion this year!? Southend lead the table with one game to go but its not over yet, if they were to lost thirteen nil and we won ten nil on the final day then we can still win the leaguea. We face Fleetwood for the final game of the season.

The final game of the League Two football season for us saw us travel to Fleetwood where we grabbed a two nil win despite finishing with ten men in what proved to be a very even game, however we just took our chances. Folan netted nine minutes after the break to set us on our way. John-Joe O'Toole was sent off with sixteen minutes to go but that didn't stop us as defender Marc Adams netted with nine minutes to go.
Is it bad to say I' disappointed? We end up losing the league by one point, just one point from Southend, obviously they had a better goal difference than us to but if just one of our draws, we turned into a win, we would of won the league! Its hard to realise that but too late now. The good news is we are promoted to League One and now just two promotion away from reaching the top flight of English football! Leyton Orient won promotion via the playoffs, where we failed last season.
Bad news is, I have under a month left on my contract and no new news on a new deal just yet...

Yeah they would of, however if we had won one of our games instead of drawing it we would of had an extra 2 points on the board, pipping them to the title by a point!

Ah fair enough chum, at least you got promoted though to League One. This is immense stuff btw.

Yeah we are now only two promotions away from reaching the top flight and in all honesty, I think we could challenge for promotion again next season if I can build in the right areas!

I think we'd be looking at dam close to 100 games per season if we were to go the length in all those competitions haha! It sure would be mental and we'd need a good 50man squad to stay fit! But I look forward to the day!
