I have started a career with Costa Rica and got through to the world cup finals. I beat Spain 2-1!! Then proceeded to lose 4-1 to Slovakia and 2-1 to Ghana so I went out bottom of the group despite beating Spain!

With there being no league available in Costa Rica how can I try and develop the younger players? It seems I have very little say on how to make the countries footballing future better.

I think in future games they should make it possible to develop a nations reputation over a period of time and therefore younger players coming through should be more talented than those available to me now.

It is a lot harder with Countries without a league, but your countries Fifa ranking does have an affect on the talent coming from your country, so improving that would hopefully improve them.

I have downloaded the costa rican league now so I will be starting it again. I presume with the league running and me just managing the national side will develop the players slightly more than no league running then? Ideally I would like the teams to upgrade their youth/training facilities but thats impossible for me to do.

Costa Rica you may struggle with due to their relative lack of standing in the football world as well as their limited scope for progression. Probably my favourite international team I managed was Hungary. Its a lot easier to develop a sort of middling European footballing nation. I managed a Hungarian league team along side the national team and I could develop the national team by upgrading my youth system at club level as well as importing in a load of South Americana who eventually managed to qualify for my national team after 5 years or so.

Was very fun to play with would reccomend.
