The penultimate month of the season and our team are still pounding away, producing the results we need them to. We faced nine games during April and throughout this performed well as we picked up seventeen points from a possible twenty seven, including a massive win over Middlesbrough who topped League One going into this month! Another couple of goals for Crouch too!
We are promoted to League One! Back to back promotions secured, but not the league table just yet. We have just one game left to play in May and it will be top spot or runners up for us. We go in with the better game to, facing Port Vale who are already relegated. We are top as well, a single point clear of Middlesbrough! Its ours to lose, its ours to win!

We beat Port Vale comfortably, which means we win the league. It was only fitting that Crouch netted on the final day of the season. Young Kendrick also grabbed a goal along with Nolan.
We go up as Champions by a single point over Middlesbrough who lead most of the way but come up in second place via automatic promotion. My beloved Yeovil went on to win the playoff finals against Plymouth to join us in the Championship next season.

Indeed, especially with the three teams that got relegated from the Premier League 'last season' and I'm sure former PL clubs are still languishing in the Championship too, if you can avoid the drop then it'll be another impressive season for FCUM.
I'm sure you can't wait to test yourself further.

As well as middlesbrough going up with us, there is Stoke, Aston Villa, Sunderland Hull and QPR already remaining in the Championship whilst West Brom, Fulham and Leciester get relegated this season!

Obviously our first season in League One was always going to mean we were set for a seventh (I think) record high this season! We've battled through a fantastic season and the team didn't let me down thats for sure!
Happy to scoop both of these, it clearly shows the hard work hasn't gone amiss this season from the higher up boys and girls. I must say I feel I deserved it and more to the team that they deserved it! They won this for me!
And finally, the usual yearly update on the statistics. We ended up playing seventy one games this season in all competitions, that makes it even more remarkable how we managed to scoop the league title and two cup wins, I know both the cups we shouldn't be featuring in but whilst we are in them I will play to win the! I've now taken charge of four hundred and forty two games, winning two hundred and fifty two (fifty seven percent) whilst drawing eighty eight and now losing one hundred and two, we lost just ten games all season in all competitions. Overall we've now netted just three goals shy of eight hundred, conceding five hundred and twenty two. Eight cup wins and four league wins, along with five promotions over two thousand five hundred and twenty six days.

Both Crouch and Shaun Wright-Phillips are deciding to hang up their boots and leave the football boots in the locker room! SWP will retire this season, I may try and bring him into the coaching set up here at FCUM. Whilst Crouch will see out one season with us in the Championship before retiring next year!

This summer is here and the board have thrown the expectations my way and backed us with money thats for sure! We have been given a massive one point seven million pounds to spend on transfers this summer just for avoiding relegation. Over two million pounds for finishing mid table. Along with that we've been given over seventy thousand pounds to spend in wages which we are currently spending forty thousand pounds.

Yeah I wasn't being serious about asking him to reconsider pal, there is no way a forty year old can cut it up front for us in the Championship, he's been a good servant but his days are coming!
