haha yeah emmo was one of the best to play for us. I hope to find a re-gen that is half as good as him
Tessa
I’ll be using a 4-2-3-1 formation with a verid fluid style of play. Hoping to play a Barcelona-esque possession game.
Budget-
Transfer Budget- $721k
Wage Budget- $73k per week
Not going to spend that much on new players, mainly upgrades to youth facilities and training facilities. Might get a few frees and loans.
Players-
Pretty good squad for the A-League with a few good young products coming through. However the majority is aging so need to get a good intake at the end of the year.
Josh MacDonald-
This guy seems our best prospect so I’ll probably sign him long term.
Bruno Cazarine-
Signed him on a free and is a proven goalscorer in the A-League and for Sydney and will be tutoring MacDonald

Both my regular keepers have long term injuries which means I either have to sign a keeper on loan or use my Youth Keeper.
Managed to get Charni Ekangamene on loan from Manchester United which is a major coup. Was going for Tom Thorpe as a backup CB but will have to go for a GK.

Let Matt Thompson go on a free and then re-signed him on lower wages.
Had to let go of Despotovic so I can lower the wages

Start with the Newcastle Jets and finished with the Perth Glory.

After the first game I was a bit concerned but now I think with more friendlies and training and getting used to tactics, I believe we'll have a good chance of winning the league.

All my friendly results- Unlucky against Sutherland but bounced back with three good wins. Hopefully I start the season with a bang!

October started well with a 3-2 win against Newcastle. McFadden got man of the match and had a blinder. This obviously got me excited for the next two games. How wrong I was.
We were terrible against the Roar and deserved to lose. However we were really unlucky to lose to the Wanderers . We fought admirably but went behind and couldn't find an equalizer. These results left us in 6th spot on 3 points with a negative goal difference
Transfer News
As seen above I bought James McFadden as our Marquee Player for the next 3 seasons. Quality player and has represented Scotland as well. Get in. Unfortunately due to the Foreign import rule, I had to get rid of Ekangamene.

November started with a loss to the bottomed placed Glory. I was shocked at this result and made my feelings perfectly clear to team. They responded brilliantly with consecutive 1-0 wins against both Melbourne sides (City and Victory). It gave me pleasure knowing we beat our biggest rival at home and backed it up with a win down there against David Villa's City side. I'm guessing the players were still thinking of those wins because their heads weren't in the game against the Phoenix. Stein Huysegems bagged a double and completely out-played us after we took a 1-0 lead. Again I was disappointed at the result and made my feelings perfectly clear to team. They responded with a 2-0 win over the Jets at home with Bruno Cazarine and Bernie Ibini scoring in the second half. Great way to finish the month.
This left us in 4th position just two points off the Roar which is great considering we were 6 off the pace after three games.
Transfer News
November brought the end of the Australian Transfer Window. I made a few good signings and let a few players go.
Out
The two loan players, Ekangamene and Giorico, were let go due to the foriegn import rule. The same goes for Tim Payne. I also let players go who weren't registered (Necevski, Warren, Petkovski), weren't good enough (Triantis, Powell) and to reduce wages (Smeltz, Despotovic)
In
I made a few signings to mainly cover for players I already had. I brought in Antony Golec as a replacement for the CBs and Petkovic on the left. Raul Garcia was bought to fill in as keeper due to injuries. Dennys Martins is a youth keeper who will become a first team player in a few years. I also re-bought Matt Thompson on lower wages after giving him a free.
Tessa
Thanks mate. I still can't believe nobody signed him. He is cheaper than Smeltz and isn't that old (compared to Del Piero)

WOW! What a month I had. The boys are starting to get familiar to the formations being trained and it shows in the results. I start games with a possession based formation and then switch with 20-25 to go to a more attacking style of play.
I didn't win by massive scores but three clean sheets in a row is a reward for the boys efforts in training and the work they put in learning the formations.
Ali Abbas scored a great goal against the Mariners by running down the wing, cutting inside and shooting with his left. Quality. We defended well and Raul Garcia turned into Spiderman to save every shot on goal.
We ran Melbourne City ragged with McFadden grabbing a brace. They were shit and are sitting bottom of the table and rightly so, they are utterly shit.
The Phoenix really should have scored but our keeper just saved everything they shot at him. He made an error and was scrambling to get back but the Phoenix missed an OPEN GOAL. Hicks with the O.G on halftime was great and then Seb Ryall with a bullet header to round off a sloppy win.
We dominated the Roar in the first half and were really unlucky to draw 1-1. Bojic got us off to a great start with a wonderful strike from 20 yards in which the keeper had no chance. Unfortunately Milos Dimitrijevic slid in and caught a Roar player in the box and Henrique scored from the spot in the 44th minute. The second half was dull with no-one really going for a second goal. I was disappointed but I knew the guys were hurting so I let them off lightly.
We celebrated the New Year on top of the table. I found James McFadden passed out in a garbage tip which was quite a sight. I don't remember too much of what happened that night. *burp*
