Never ever have downloaded any new league db's but now I decided to give them a shot and downloaded whole bunch of them. Though now I think I loaded too many of them and game is slowish but it doesn't matter Apparently I had too many editor files so I had to remove couple of them to be able to even play and now after I had fought with it for almost a day, I finally won the fight.
So wanted to start from the very bottom and getting out of my comfort zone and what other place than Northern Marianas 2nd division would be better for that?
I must admit that I had no idea where Northern Mariana Islands were located before I started this career out I'm going to use my username as my manager's name and started as Sunday League Footballer so I wouldn't have too high reputation already. Will be interesting to see whether I could cope with all the challenges and could climb up from the bottom of the well.
Here we go!
Shirley's Football Club
Took over the Shirley's Football Club, needless to say that I'm not even paid as they are bunch of amateurs like all the other teams on this island. Decided to take a team that wasn't ranked as one of the best from its division and Shirley's sounded sympathetic. Wasn't even shocked to see how bad this team was even though I think I haven't coached amateurs before.
Here's the club, not the biggest value but really expected. Glad we have at least some faithful season ticket holders, won't show here but there are currently 62 season ticket holders.. Fun fact is that nearly every team from this island shares Oleai Sports Complex Field stadium so majority of away games are like home games. As you can see we were predicted as 3rd which is usually a good sign....
...unless there are only 4 teams in the whole division and bookmakers won't have any faith on you. Well the good thing is that we'll face each team three times so we play only 12 games. Season lasts from August 31st to May 10th.
The Squad
Needless to say that those abilities are as inaccurate as they get. I would fire Mr.So if I would be able to sign a new one to replace him. Looks like that I would need a new goalie and maybe couple of wingers but can only sign players from Northern Mariana Islands since no one else wants to join this club obviously and won't even have many options to sign for amateur-contracts
Here's a guy who is listed as our key player. Definitely not a stud but I'm sure he can make some impact here, especially since he's probably growing at least a little bit. To be honest he's just horrible but I'm hoping I'm able to fly away from this island in two or three years.
Almost immediately when I had started got this message. So yeah it's better than nothing but not going to get me or anyone else paid. Guess they think managing here on the islands is some sort of charity work and I don't need any extra income for that.
So there was the club, probably going to stay couple of seasons there (unless sacked before) and then i'm looking for my options. Definitely not going to spend my entire career on these Islands.I would assume that I'm not able to turn this amateur squad into professional one. Also interesting to see when I'm going to get my first paycheck, though got to admit that 12 games in 8 months isn't stressful at all.
Wanted to add Shirley's as my team but for good reasons wasn't able to find Northern Mariana Islands from the list of nations.
Only one friendly, after all I didn't want to tire my squad since 12 games + some cup-games in 8 months could be too hectic for amateurs. Did let my assistant take care of the game and he got pretty inspiring result. 1-1 against a team that was ranked as number 1 on division 1 by the pundits. They might have used reserves, nevertheless good way to start the campaign for promotion.
As I said I wanted a new goalie and surprisingly got one and the best thing is that he was the number 1 goalie for the club that should have the best chance for promotion. Very pleased to have signed him and hopefully he's able to be firm number 1 for us.
Fixtures
Trashing Matansa was a brilliant way to start a new season. On 8th minute we got a freekick too far away for a straight shot. Norman Schuler delivered a brilliant cross and winger Steven Camacho had an easy chance to just struck it in. We dominated the game all the time and we were once again rewarded when a cross from the right side found it's way to the net after José Wood made the last touch and it counted as own goal. Substitute Joseph Brostrom sealed our 3-0 victory with strong leftfooted shot just inside the box.
I guess both teams could be satisfied with this result. Camacho scored absolutely stunning Roberto Carlos like a goal. That curling ball was never meant to be a cross and found it's way to the back of the net. Unfortunately our sloppy defending was penalised on 23rd minute when William Duenas finished
brilliant team-effort.
Leaguetable
Looking good for us so far. I know it's only two games but there are only 10 games left. Anything could happen but a strong start for this kind of league is vital if you want to fight for promotion.
Found the database, would you mind if I took on the same challenge and posted it here too mate?
Go ahead mate Must admit that managing amateur squad is hard but rewarding altough there weren't many "real" players when I started so all my players except one are created by the game.
Go ahead mate Must admit that managing amateur squad is hard but rewarding altough there weren't many "real" players when I started so all my players except one are created by the game.
Yeah I tried doing one in Gibraltar a few months ago, eventually got them professional but it was still so tough, so the same challenge is on here, be good to compare it with yours too!
So we got division one side on cup quarter finals. Should be doable if anything bad doesn't happen.
Fixtures
Thrilled we were able to beat Paire, the team I thought would be the toughest to face. My boys proved me wrong and deserve every credit from this priceless victory. Young GK Stafford was also brilliant and this was his first encounter against his former club.
Have no idea what went wrong here. We weren't clearly ready for this game and were lucky to draw. Well without Brian Roberts' superb individual effort we would've probably lost this. Maybe players didn't have enough rest, I mean they only had about 3 weeks of rest and light practice or perhaps they were surprised they had to travel to another stadium than the safe Oleai Sports Complex Field.
Leaguetable
Getting supertight. Well the heavy favourites Paire seem to be dropping from the promotion contention. Other than that, it looks like it's anyone's game.
Good/Bad News, go figure
Normally I would be thrilled to see news like these....
... but not when we already have ultratight schedule, at least on Northern Marianan standard. I guess the positive thing is that they'll face Guam, probably the nearest island out there.
Thanks George, Dan and Johno, appreciate the comments!

FA Cup
Yes, we did it! We were able to beat Wild Bill's though it was a close match until Wild Bill's midfielder got his second yellow card and was ejected from the match. No wonder though, Wild Bill's had well some would say wild tackles and results weren't nice...
Gutted with these injuries. Just before they were supposed to make their international debut, or at least they would've been with the international squad. No one would've guaranteed they would've actually earned their first cap. Also hurts my chances against 2nd Kanoa Resort, whom I'll play in few days.
Northern Mariana Islands vs Guam (friendly)
This really tells the story of Northern Mariana Islands talent haha. Even the all mighty Guam dominated. Even though it was only a friendly, Northern Mariana Islands were heavily outplayed. Good news is that couple of my players actually earned their first cap and weren't just unused substitutes, then again....
...more injuries..... Hopefully our squad is able to cope, our depth is really thin.
Fixtures
It wasn't pretty but we got the job done with tired squad, altough had to use some greys as substitutes. I'll take that 1-0 over draw any day. Our captain again with the clutch goal, he has really started to score those important goals. Also this win should give us some breathing room as Kanoa were 2nd with only one point less than we had.
Leaguetable
Much needed breathing room as Paire and Mantansa drew their game leaving Paire with only 2pts from 5 games. Only 7 games left, still looking good. Next game against Paire and yes we have lot of time to rest and some injured bodies are fit enough to play.
Before the important match against Paire, I wanted to take a look of competition rankings.
Now something doesn't add up here, what it could be? That's right where is Northern Marianas 2nd division? Could we be this bad? Apparently yeah, First division being 2nd worst won't help too much.
Glad to see you're unbeaten at the top after 5 games, almost half way now! Also glad to see the Bhutani National Division being at the heights of 129th haha!
Dan - We sure do, we sure do. Tony - Thanks, yeah Bhutan was a definitely good choice!

Nice victory over Paire even though we did let two in. At least we started to score more too. Schroeder to Schroeder was just poetry, and both were eventually awarded with goals, Peter converting from the spotkick. Honestly we didn't even dominate and these numbers could've been much different but we'll take anything if it suits our team.
Leaguetable
Halfway there. Still unbeaten but only 5 pts separates us and Matansa, even though there are only six games left. Paire still searching for their first win. Safe to say that Paire aren't earning the promotion this year, both Matansa and Kanoa are still fighting for that spot with me. Even though I have that 5 pt lead, if I lose next game and Matansa wins, they would be only 2 pts behind. Best goaldifference but have scored only 4 goals more than the 2nd seed Matansa. Also notable is that Paire have scored two goals more than Kanoa but they are 5 pts behind Kanoa, mainly because their defense has been by far the worst in this division. 13 allowed in 6 games while Matansa and Kanoa have allowed only 7 and we have allowed only 5.
Joseph - Yeah I think anyone would like that Yup promotion is pretty much on our hands, still could lose it though haha.

Very pleased with this result. We were off to a flyer and carried the form throughout the whole game. Matansa equalised with a penalty but we brilliantly never gave up and were rewarded on 29th minute when CB Masatoshi Tan converted his chance after corner. Our "subersub" Joseph Brostrom then made it 3-1 on 72nd minute and that was the last goal of the match.
Very close match, even though we had the possession of the ball. Peter Schroeder hit the crossbar on 59th minute and that was our closest chance until... Yes you know who, the supersub Brostrom strikes again. I know that I've said Schroeder scoring those clutchgoals, but now it seems that Joseph Brorstom is the man of the hour. Always coming off the bench and creating havoc on field.
League Table
Things are looking really good at the moment. I wouldn't count Kanoa Resort or Matansa out yet though. They haven't let in too many goals but at the same time they have struggled to score. Poor Paire are still looking for their first win of the season. Their defense has been shaky and that's why they've allowed 2 goals per game now. It's too late for them to get it going since there are only four matches left. So we have 9 pts lead and only 4 games left. This should definitely be safe in the bank but I've still got my doubts.
Asian Competitions rankings
Should we be able to qualify for continental competition or not, this is still good news for the health of our first division. 131st is still far way.... but things are looking bit brighter for Northern Mariana Islands.
Super nervous game as you would except for Semi Finals. Both sides tried to avoid mistakes and it almost paid off for both clubs. We had the best chance on regulation time and it happened to be on injury time so it was the last chance of regulation time at the same time. We played brilliantly and forward Peter Schroeder hit the post, I admit it felt real bad. So to the extra time, finally someone made mistake. Marianas Pacific CB Tyce Reusora took Schroeder down and referee awarded us the penalty. Peter Schroeder stepped up and scored confidently, then it was basically only defending and the victory was ours.
Fixtures
We almost blew this away... Well at least we blew our 2-0 lead away. Everything looked great when Schroeder had converted from the spot kick and the other Schroeder also got himself on scoresheet. Kanoa literally scored two goals in 10 minutes and I wasn'thappy at all. Thank god for our captain Peter Schroeder. Scored his 2nd goal of the game and clinched the title for us as well! As his goal ended up being the winning goal.
Title is ours
It didn't require supernatural effort but I'm still satisfied with the title. Now we just need to keep focus on remaining three games and especially on Cup-final. Could be double this year, not that winning cup would get us lot of cashmoney, still it would be nice to win another title.
League Table
The battle for 2nd place is going to be fierce. I'm sure both Matansa and Kanoa would love to finish 2nd, their stats are pretty even now, Matansa has conceded only goal more than Kanoa while Kanoa have scored one goal less than Matansa. Paire still looking for their first win... Can they get it this year? We'll see.
Cheers bud
Trying a new skin out here since the one I used wasn't good enough for screenshots in my opinion.

Rest of the 2013-2014 season
Well we didn't have much to play for since we had secured the promotion. Only thing we needed to was to keep focus for the cup final, meaning we couldn't take the remaining games lightheartedly.
Matansa vs Shirley's (game 10)
Shocking, horrible, lost of words. Any swear word you know, insert here. Sloppy all the way, if not for the Schroeder brothers, we would've lost and and given the circumstances that would've been shocking. We kept the ball but made some stupid mistakes and it was way too easy for Matansa to run into 2-0 lead before the break. At the break I was mad at my players and threw chairs at them, apparently it did work. We completely turned the game and scored two goals in just 15 minutes. Too bad that was only enough for a draw but I guess it's better than losing the unbeaten status.
Shirley's vs Kanoa (game 11)
Continuing the trend it seems. The moment when Schroeder picked up straight red card for two-footed tackle that also injures David Duenas, I knew that we weren't going to get 3 pts here. The draw was well deserved for both teams as there weren't any quality chances for either team. Still unbeaten but.... not looking good when we still have the cup final ahead of us.
Shirley's vs Paire (game 12)
Fitting, can't even beat winless Paire. Another poor performance watched by 750 spectators, which I believe is quite a lot for this league. Eric Atalig got Paire to early lead when our defence was again sloppy and not paying attention at all. Luckily captain Schroeder rescued us the draw that insured that we stayed unbeaten in the league! Well done lad.
League Table
Paire finished the season the opposite to ours. They had five draws like we did but instead of seven wins, they lost seven. Matansa's last day 4-3 victory over Kanoa granted them the 2nd spot. I'm sure they are happy with it, though it's not getting them promoted.
Mariana Islands FA Cup
Nervecracking game, this got all on it. Especially the discipline was nowhere to be seen. When Jason Camacho got sent off on 86th minute for taking his 2nd yellow card, I was mad since one of KFAS played made the exact foul just earlier and he was already booked but referee didn't want to sent him off. Heading to extra time one man down got me bit nervous, but I knew that KFAS had many players booked already so if the trend would continue, we would see one of them being ejected as well. And that happened on 107th minute on 2nd half of extra time to even things up, I was concentrated on penalties but then Yoo Jong-Hyun tackled Brostrom in the box and we were awarded the penalty and fittingly Yoo Jong-Huyn was sent off, picking his 2nd yellow card. Joseph Brostrom stepped up confidently and there was never really a doubt that he would miss. This result definitely gives us some hope for next season since we are unbeaten when facing first division sides!
Thanks George!
IVIarrow - Discipline... what is that? Glad I got big squad so I'm able to rotate due suspensions..

Preseason
After being promoted to the first division, our goal is to win this division. I think this squad has the quality since last season we were already able to beat first division sides, granted some of them were on extra time.
According to bookies winning the division wouldn't be a long shot. Closer look tells us that odds are bit messed.
Dat amount of cash money is enormous..
Hello!!!??? Why I'm getting this since obviously we don't have to pay taxes at all!
I'm pretty confident just before we start our preseason. Didn't lose anyone and young guns are one year older and more experienced. God I do hope our so called discipline would be better in first division.
I've got a feeling something doesn't add up here... YES! How on earth Paire are top of the table and have the highest reputation??? They were just relegated god knows where and they had worst season in their history, yet their reputation IMPROVED. Yeah right...
Friendlies
I guess the friendlies went okay. We won four of them while drawing one and losing one. We started our preseason by beating recently relegated Tan Holdings. Next game we played bore draw with familiar division two side Matansa. We won non-league team Remington two-nil on extra time, who knows why i hadn't organized only 90 minutes game there. Buffalo Bill's weren't a challenge at all, sorry Wild Bill's. Our first and only loss came against MP United. We ended our tour by beating non-league side but oh so familiar Paire three-two.
It does lack quality but on the other hand winning this league won't require much! Massive squad gives us the ability to rotate, which is usually needed since there are plenty of suspensions ahead of us until something quite surprising happens. Well it's almost guaranteed that those surprises won't happen since we already have one player suspended! Granted he was suspended last season.
We are doing profit which is always a good thing. Our balance is healthy twenty-one thousand pounds, which is about fifteen thousand pounds more than it was when I started.
Thanks Dan, yeah slowly rising but better than nothing!

Start of the season
I was pretty confident heading to our first division one game. After all the preseason went well and even the bookmakers had faith on us.
KFAS vs Shirley's Division one (game one)
We were off to a flyer when midfielder Norman Schuler scored just six minutes in. We dominated the game but the Koreans came back in when Cha Do-Won was alone and he had an easy chance which he buried, that also was their only shot on target. Lucky for us, substitute Joseph Cho didn't need much on field until he struck one in. It was also his debut, since he was one of the youth intakes. Nice way to introduce himself! Compared to FA Cup final, our discipline looked decent!
Shirley's vs Wild Bill's Division one (game two)
CB Charles Roberts was the man of the hour when we had an corner at 23rd minute. He rose highest and headed ball back to the net. On 49th minute cross came in and Nathan Wang directed it in so it was counted as own goal. Wild Bill's hadn't even had a shot on target so I changed tactics bit more defensive just to protect the lead. On 77th minute David Harahap made me pay. Though no keeper in this world would've saved that shot just outside the box. Absolutely stunning goal.
Shirley's vs MP United Division one (game three)
Well this match maybe should've been draw since both teams were equally bad. If not for the supersub Joseph Brostrom, it would probably have been a draw. We didn't deserve this, even though we kept the ball, but we'll take the three points.
League Table
Strong start to the season, undefeated and won first three games. Still 13 games to go so anything could happen. Don't like those Koreans (KFAS) lurking just behind us.
The confidence is skyhigh, and why it wouldn't be. After all we had won three of our first three games and we haven't lost a single game yet on this island, friendlies aren't counted.
Inter-Godfather's vs Shirley's Division one (game four)
Fairly easy match for us. Captain Peter Schroeder got us in to two-nil lead on first half. Timothy Cabrera got Inter Godfather's back in the game with nifty finish. That was their best effort only since Joseph Brostrom sealed the game us with poachers effort.
Shirley's vs KFAS Division one (game five)
If there is a team I already hate, it's gotta be these damn Koreans. Goodbye discipline, hello Koreans. Everytime we play this team, we pick up at least two or three yellows, and red card wouldn't surprise at all. Things didn't start smoothly as KFAS were awarded a penalty on 8th minute and Park Young-Woong left Daniel Stafford without a chance. Peter Schroeder got us back in to game with clinical finish, and I was expecting us to be one-one at the break. Jason Camacho proved me wrong as he for some reason touched the poor cross by KFAS player and directed in. If that wasn't enough for Camacho, he got his second yellow card on 61st minute and we were down by a goal and down by a man. Was honestly expecting that we wouldn't be able to even snatch a draw. It proved to be our lucky day since Lee Je-Min scored own goal from our cornerkick on 66th minute. Then it was up to supersub Joseph Brostrom to seal the three-two victory for us. Thrilled to have won this, but once again unacceptable discipline.
League Table
We are getting some breathing room, I like that. Still unbeaten and we've been hugely lucky to be able to win all of our matches so far. It hasn't always been pretty but we'll take everything we can get.

It didn't require supernatural effort but I'm still satisfied with the title. Now we just need to keep focus on remaining three games and especially on Cup-final. Could be double this year, not that winning cup would get us lot of cashmoney, still it would be nice to win another title.
We'll see.

Trying a new skin out here since the one I used wasn't good enough for screenshots in my opinion.

Well we didn't have much to play for since we had secured the promotion. Only thing we needed to was to keep focus for the cup final, meaning we couldn't take the remaining games lightheartedly.
Paire finished the season the opposite to ours. They had five draws like we did but instead of seven wins, they lost seven. Matansa's last day 4-3 victory over Kanoa granted them the 2nd spot. I'm sure they are happy with it, though it's not getting them promoted.

IVIarrow - Discipline... what is that? Glad I got big squad so I'm able to rotate due suspensions..

Well this match maybe should've been draw since both teams were equally bad. If not for the supersub Joseph Brostrom, it would probably have been a draw. We didn't deserve this, even though we kept the ball, but we'll take the three points.
Strong start to the season, undefeated and won first three games. Still 13 games to go so anything could happen. Don't like those Koreans (KFAS) lurking just behind us.

Fairly easy match for us. Captain Peter Schroeder got us in to two-nil lead on first half. Timothy Cabrera got Inter Godfather's back in the game with nifty finish. That was their best effort only since Joseph Brostrom sealed the game us with poachers effort.
We are getting some breathing room, I like that. Still unbeaten and we've been hugely lucky to be able to win all of our matches so far. It hasn't always been pretty but we'll take everything we can get.
