eg positional training, be good at decisions and anticipation needs to be really good so he can read the game, maybe a lot of defensive tactical work for the team, sometimes its not so much the full back thats at fault but the decision making and determination of the anchor men, their ability to close down the players who can split defences
maybe try looking two or 3 passes prior to the problem and see if you can snuff it higher up the pitch, maybe get a defensive winger or wide midfielder who wont leave the full backs exposed
plus covering the central defence is vital otherwise defenders get pulled everywhere
i sometimes feel too much man marking is an issue as they follow players without much thought of reading the game, so i tend to have at least one center half on zonal, so he can float about like a sweeper, but again, he needs to be excellent at reading the game
