Approaching Managers

Hi

Just a quick question. Do clubs approach managers (myself/yourself included) even when they're already the manager of another club? This is without declaring interest and just going on manager reputation. If so that is superb and realistic.

What do you mean?

Clubs without a manager approaches other managers already employed all the time. I've personally never seen a club with a manager approach for another manager, employed or not, and then sacked the current manager to make space for the manager they've approached.

Have you ever seen a managerless club come in for yourself though when you're already at a club and you haven't declared any interest in that club? Ta

Yes, I have. Real Madrid came after me when I managed Sheff. Utd (6th season or so), but I declined them

Good choice.. Sheffield United are a much better team

Haha, cheers for the reply. You're doing well with Sheff Utd but two of my mates are Sheffield Wednesday fans so can't heap too much praise, ha.

Tell you the truth;

I only started a savegame with Sheff Utd because I managed them on FM12 and I got a stadium named after me. I only started the game with the aim of getting a new stadium named after me, but the board only released plans on building a new stadium after 6 years, which means that it isn't going to get named after me, so I quit the game. Got tired of it...

You can get a stadium named after you? Superb, never gone in to change the stadium before only to expand it. Sounds good

You can, but what I experienced with Sheff Utd on FM14 seems to be a glitch of some sort, a bug. If they're naming the stadium after you, you'll know it straight away. If they only release plans of a new stadium, it's just that, a new stadium won't be built anytime soon, it's just plans afoot to build one that never comes

I'm Fulham at the moment and I must admit the board are pretty generous so far, so might ask for a new ground considering Craven Cottage only holds about 25,000 which isn't really going to hack in considering I'm in Europe now. They've increased the wage budget and expanded the ground in the last two seasons so we'll see.
