I only made a handful of signings before the start of the season, with 30 year old German defender Danny Herzig, and 26 year old Danish midfielder Jesper Jensen both joining on free transfers.
Goalkeepers
Abel Dhaira is clearly my current number 1, although Sigurjonsson clearly has a lot of potential so I'll be trying to give him a bit of game time throughout the season to try and make him better. Geirsson isn't good enough and with any luck won't feature at all.
Defence
Herzig and Gudjonsson will be my starting centre back pairing, with Garner filling in if one is injured. Olafsson and Ingason will obviously be the full backs, as they are the only ones I have, although Elisabetarson is a very useful utility player and despite naturally being a defensive midfielder, he can fill in all along the back line.
Midfield
I play a 4-2-3-1 formation, so there will be 2 centre mids, left and right winger, and 1 central attacking midfielder spot to choose players for. The winger spots pick themselves, with Valdimarson on the left, and Porvardarson on the right. In the deeper centre midfielders I'll have, with everyone fit, Jensen and Olaffson, and then ahead of them it'll usually be Jeffs.
Attackers
Glenn is obviously my first choice, with Gunnarsson in reserve. As theres only one striker spot in my team, this position more or less picks itself.

Friendlies
Don't particularly rate the importance of these matches for anything other than some quick fundraising and match fitness, but for those of you who're interested these are the results of my friendlies. Mainly played before the league cup kicked off, with two on free weekends during the competition and a couple after my involvement had ended before the league season.
The League Cup
Well, it's safe to say this went horribly and a major improvement will be needed for the league campaign to go well. Failing to win any games, especially considering there's a few lower league teams in there is unacceptable.
We started off against Stjarnan, one of the top teams in the league, and despite taking the lead in the first half, we eventually fell to defeat courtesy of a 93rd minute strike. It could have all been so different if that hadn't gone in but oh well.
We then failed to beat Bi/Bolungarvik, needing a late equaliser to rescue a point when we should have been taking all 3.
Two very similar games followed against Valur and FH. They both raced into early 2-0 leads before the game calmed down. Late on in both we got a goal back, before almost immediately conceding a 3rd and losing 3-1 in both. Very frustrating
We should have been beating both Vikingur O. and Haukar, and were unfortunate not to do so in both games but ultimately failed to take our chances
The final game versus Vikingur R. was the worst of the lot. We initially took the lead before then trailing 2-1. No sooner had we got a late equaliser to salvage some pride than we gifted them another goal to go down 3-2.
Not that it matters all that much, but in the end the group looked like this, with us sitting rock bottom.

League
Next up were a Fjolnir side fancied heavily for the drop, and we were able to make it 2 wins on the bounce in comfortable fashion, actually lead 3-0 for much for much of the game before a few late consolation strikes for them, and one more for me.
Our first league loss was against a strong FH side, where we can have no real complaints as they were simply better than us on the day. The last league game of the month was highly frustrating, every attack they had was a goal, and every one we had wasn't. Just one of those games I guess, but 3-0 was very harsh on the balance of play.
That all leaves us sitting comfortable, currently 4th but a lot of teams are on roughly similar points totals so far.
Cup
We've been drawn to face Haukar, another team whom we also played in the league cup, that time it finished a draw so hoepfully we can go one better and get into the quarter finals.

League
After a heavy loss at the end of May, it was vital that we bounced back against Fylkir, and we were able to do just that with 2 goals in 2 minutes helping us to a comfortable win in the end.
We then had to journey to face, at the time, unbeaten Keflavik. We managed to stun them and take a 3 goal advantage before they showed why they're a top side this season and piled on the pressure for the last half hour, but fortunately they fell just short.
Next up was Fram away, a hugely frustrating game. 1 down and playing poorly at half time, we came out second half and fired ourselves into a 3-1 lead before we then relaxed and regained the performance of the first half and were punished, conceding 2 goals and drawing a match we were in control of.
Against Valur we simply didn't turn up until the last 10 minutes, and minutes after the second goal our challenge was ended by Jensen getting sent off. Frustrating.
We then rounded off with a solid win against Vikingur R, hugely satisfying after their triumph over us in the League Cup.
Due to all of this we sit in 3rd place in table, although we're already 6 points behind the leaders FH. That said, if we could get 3rd that would be European football, which would be great for the club and a good achievement from the first season.
Cup
After the triumph against Stjarnan in the last round, we were drawn up against what should be easier opposition in the form of Haukar, and so it proved with a late consolation goal for them the only blip in an otherwise straightforward game to get us through to the quarters. We were, however, given a very tough tie in the next round, playing FH, top of the league, the team who won the League Cup already this season, and a team we've already lost to twice this season. If we can get through that then we should be one of the strongest teams left, and probably the favourites for the cup, but as things stand, FH are certainly the favourites.

League
We started the month with a game against our fiercest rivals, KR, who were also at this point directly behind us in the league. In probably our best performance of the season, we managed to absolutely hammer them 3-0 away from home, and although 2 of the goals only came later on, we dominated throughout.
Next up were struggling Stjarnan, and we kept a second consecutive clean sheet to confidently beat them 2-0.
The next game was a struggle against Por where we were very lucky to get all 3 points, not playing very well at all, and in fact they had 10 shots on target to our 3. Still, we got the 3 points and that's the thing which matters.
Our only league defeat of the month came against FH. Simply put, we were up against what is without a doubt the best team in Iceland, and we fell slightly short of being able to match them, but there's no shame in this defeat.
We got back on track away to bottom club Fjolnir, a comfortable if unspectacular 2-0 victory sending us into second in the table, and although we are 7 points behind and FH don't look like collapsing any time soon, we should be on course for a run in Europe next season, which will be great.
Cup
Our run in the Cup came to an end in the quarters, as yet again we were beaten by FH. Falling 2-0 down at half time, we got a goal back and were close to getting an equaliser in the second before they struck late on to kill the game. This, of course, means that they are presently on course for a domestic treble this season, which hopefully demonstrates how good they are.

League
The month started with a 3-2 victory over Fylkir, thanks to a last minute winner. Cruising at 1-0, the game burst into life in the last 5 minutes, as they equalised, we took the lead, they equalised again before the 92nd minute winner saw us take all 3 points.
Next up were Keflavik, directly behind us in the table, and we were able to comfortably outplay them and take a 4-2 victory to moe clear in second place.
The Breidablik game was a thriller. 2-0 down after 15 minutes, we fought back to be level at the half. We then took the lead just after half time, before being pegged back and then scoring another 3 goals to take the win. A cracking attacking performance, but defensively far too fragile.
We ended the month with a hugely disappointing draw at home to struggling Fram, where we really should have been winning and piling the pressure onto FH, whose lead at the top has been cut down to just 3 points ahead of us in 2nd. With just 4 games left, FH are still very much in the driving seat, but with Keflavik 8 behind us, we're virtually assured 2nd place. KR won the Icelandic Cup, and as such have qualified for europe already, and we will be joining them. Still, with 4 games to go, we could still snatch the title if FH slip up and we capitalise. On paper at least, we have a slightly easier run in than there's is, although they have 3 matches at home, whereas we have 3 away. Here's hoping I can do it anyway!
Other
The month saw the new youth regens come into the club, and to be honest theres only 2 who are really noteworthy at all, both with 4 stars potential. Both are 16, and they are Arnor Eyvar Valdimarsson, a striker, and Tryygvi Haraldsson, a central defender. Haraldsson especially I'm quite excited about, as he has been making huge progress in training, and looks to have the raw attributes to be a very good player at this level.

League
First up were Vikingur R., where we snatched a point and all but gave FH the title as this gave them a 5 point lead with 3 games left. We weren't great, but weren't too bad either in this game, just a very meh performance.
We were shocking against Valur. Two dodgy penalties allowed us back into the game after falling behind, but we didn't deserve anything and rightly got nothing. FH won, and thus secured the title.
With no prospect of the title, I used the next two games to give some fringe and youth players a bit of game time, and still confidently beat Stjarnan, before losing to KR at home, although Arnor Valdimarsson got his first goal in that game.
All, in all, it means that the table looks like this.
Disappointing not to take the title race a little further but all in all, 2nd place and a europa league spot is a magnificent achievement.
