Thanks SBR, we done well to get within a point of going up, hopefully this year will be our year!

The Icelandic Cup got underway for us at the start of May, where we pushed Grundarsjorour aside, beating them 2-1. Einarsson scored an early penalty along with a strike in the second half to complete the scoreline.
Another 2-1 win followed, as we got off to a winning league start against Haukar. Zekovic and Sousa both found the net in the second half.
Selfoss proved to be a tough encounter, and the only game we didn't win this month. We came from behind to take a 1-1 draw thirteen minutes from time, Einarsson on the scoresheet.
Relegated Stjarnan were our next opponents, where a brace from Zekovic saw us past the struggling side.
A dominant win in the Icelandic Cup kept us in the competition. Einherji were huge underdogs, and we showed why. Zekovic opened the scoring for us nine minutes in. We waited until the second half for more goals, but they eventually came. Einarsson got our second and winger Adebayo netted two more to complete the rout.
Finally Por, the side who put us out the Upper League Cup last month. This time there was a different outcome. Second half goals from Adebayo and Bjornsson saw us to a pleasing win!
We sit top of the pile, but only four games have been played. There's a long way to go yet before we get comfortable here!
During the transfer window we bought in three players on free transfers. The first was Mathiesen, a goalkeeper from Vikingur R. Hopefully he'll help us to a few extra wins this season by shutting the opposition out! Next came Hjaltason from giants KR. A twenty two year old Icelandic defensive midfielder who can strengthen us up a little in the middle of the park. Finally, right winger Adebayo. Just twenty three years of age he improves the right side of the pitch for us. He's already banged in a couple of goals too! If you wish to see any of these players please ask and I'll upload them in the next post.
Only three players left the club during the off-season. Bjornsson and Halldorsson weren't interested in new contracts, and both ended up joining Keflavik. Our biggest loss was defender Omarsson. Again, he wasn't interested in signing a new deal, and ended up joining Valur.

Cheers DP91. Fylkir are one of the better sides in Iceland, surprised they got relegated! Hopefully he continues to add goals for us, were going to need them this season. The only player that's a real loss is Omarsson, the other two were only going to be reserves for this season.
Cheers Dan!

We started June with our first league defeat of the season. 1-0 to Prottur R. A disappointing result for us!
We bounced straight back with a 3-0 win over Afturelding. Magnusson scored twice in three minutes of the second half, and Hjaltason rounded off the scoring.
BI/Bolungarvik also suffered a 3-0 defeat to us. Magnusson again opened the scoring. Einarsson scored a brace before the break to ensure the points.
A 3-1 win over Vikingur O. in the Icelandic Cup was just what we were after. Bjornsson netted in the first half for us, before Einarsson scored twice in the second half to send us through to the quarter finals.
Our fourth win on the bounce followed as we overcame HK. They played the final fifteen minutes of the game with ten men, and we took advantage of that in the dying seconds. Guomundsson scoring extremely late on to snatch the win.
A shock defeat to Tindastoll bought our winning streak to an end. Reliable striker Einarsson once again on the scoresheet, but it wasn't enough as we'releft to rue the two goals we had ruled out for offside.
We rounded off the month with a win. Guomundsson fired us ahead of Vikingur R. after just six minutes. Einarsson scored his sixth goal this month to send us to victory.
As expected we continue to lead the way at the top of the table, and with ten games gone, it's really starting to take shape now! Just two defeats and one draw means we've won the other seven. Five points is the gap over second place, while we're eight points ahead of third! A fantastic first half to the season!
Clyde invited me for an interview. Predicted second in the Scottish First Division, it would be a tempting offer if I was unemployed. However, I've got my task set ahead of me here in Iceland, and I'm not moving until it's done!
Accrington Stanley also offered me an interview this month. Predicted to finish rock bottom of League Two in England. There was never any interest for me in this post, so I swiftly declined the offer.
