Myself and Pinder (Pinder2807) decided to team up together and play FM online We both decided to go for France.
I went for OM and Pinder went for Lyon because of the rival between the clubs and both clubs have been struggling in the league which PSG been dominating since being taken over. So we both want to see how far we can go with our club and knock them off the spot.
We will be doing monthly update and will be leaving the pre season schedules to our assistant manager.

Club history
We haven't won the league since 2010 which is a long time for a club like OM.
News
Took the club alot of convincing to upgrade the youth facilities, but got there in the end.
Also took ages to convince them to find a feeder club to boost our profile.
Johno
Thanks Gendo We took ages to pick what country we was going to manage in It was either France or Spain. So we both said France and try and dominate the league again which both clubs was few years back.

Good to see the club agreeing to send me on coaching course
Thanks TMR

Having not won the league since the 07-08 season - Olympique Lyonnais have been on a slow and painful downward spiral. Here's to hoping we turn things round over the next couple of seasons.
The first port of call was to sort out the expiring contracts. Umtiti, Dabo and Gourcuff's contracts all expire at the end of the season. Umtiti got a £2k p/w wage rise and has now signed until 2018 whilst Dabo has signed a two-year extension on the same wages. Gourcuff on the other hand is on £78 p/w. I have no intention of keeping him round for the season and I'll look to sell before his value decreases.

Thanks Dan
Cheers Fola.
Thanks Shed!
Cheers Kez I remember back the days where it was VP v Duffy.
I have made few signings and few staff as well. I'm not sure what Pinder have done apart from trying to get rid of Yoann Gourcuff

Transfers news
In
Happy to bring him in on loan as I didn't fancy splashing the cash on strikers when we got few good youngsters.
Brought him in after AS Saint-Étienne was playing hardball over Allan Saint-Maximin as they wanted 14M for him. Went for him in the end as he was cheaper option.
Out
Morel - Was in his thirty, decided to cash him in as his contract runs out end of the season.
Nouri - Again was 35 and contract runs out end of the season, released him.
Gignac - Tried to get him to sign new contract but was asking stupid wages that we couldn't match, contract was also running out end of the season, decided to sell instead of losing him on free.
Fanni - Was in his 30's and was on big wages, also contract running out end of the season.
Ayew - Was gutted to lose him for under 6M. No clubs was willing to match his minimum release clause (14.75M) Also asked for bigger wage which again we couldn't match it Decided to sell instead of losing him on free.
Staff News
Not surprised to see Parnaby joining me at OM

Latest addition to the the team. Free transfer signing. He was offered to me by his agent. Hope he comes good like his brother (Alen Halilović)

I agree I remember when Duffy was Hearts and VP was Hibs?

Another addition to the team. Costing me 2M, I got high hopes for him. Will be in the reserves for the season.

Unlike John, I've only managed to bring in one signing this transfer window. Even though there are still two weeks of the window left, I don't feel as though I need to make any more, until January at least.
I welcomed Jordan Veretout to the club - a 21-year old midfielder from Nantes. Signed for a total fee of £6m, some of this will be paid over 24 months. Yohann Gourcuff was the only player to leave the club, he joined Villarreal for £6m, freeing up £78k p/w in wages, allowing me to make the move for Veretout.
Well rounded mental and physical stats, I'll be looking to improve his tackling in order to make him a better box-to-box midfielder, with Clement Grenier taking up the AMC spot, although the two will be able to swap positions.
Overall, a decent start to the season, friendly wise. We both let our assistant manager's take charge of the friendlies, but a good start.
We were drawn against Turkish side, Karabükspor in the qualifying stages of the Europa League, winning 7-3 on aggregate. Veretout made his debut in the first-leg, notching up two assists whilst the pick of the bunch was a 30-yard goal from Jordan Ferri. Yassine Benzia scored two goals in the second leg, with Grenier assisting both.
Our first game of the season is at home to Stade Rennais.

Pre season results
Happy with the way assistant manager handled with our pre season.
Transfers news
Managed to bring in 3 more signings for OM.
As I got him for my West Ham save, I decided to get him for OM Costing me a mere 1.3M plus loan back for the season.
Decided to get him for cover at RM/RW. 2.5M.
I brought him on trial as my scout recommended him so he played well in few games and snapped him up on free.
Also sold Benoît Cheyrou to Genk for 195K.

The host can play at any time, both players would need to be online for the secondary player to play.

August 2014
Mixed start to the season for us.
Two late goals from N'Koulou and Porsan-Clemente saw us beat Bastia.
Disappointed to lose to Montpellier as we went 2-0 down after conceding a free kick which Víctor Montaño converted and sloppy defending. We pulled back to 2-2 through Batshuayi and Payet. But on 88th minutes Víctor Montaño scored another free kick to give them the win
Lucky to escape with a point. Went behind on 15th minutes with pathetic defending which Ronnie Schwartz tapped in from few yards out. Thauvin put us on level terms with a strike inside the box. Doria put us ahead on 50th minutes with a header from corner. We conceded on 85th minutes after N'Koulou messed up his header which only went to their player to score to finish the game 2-2.
Ditched 4-2-3-1 and went for 4-4-1-1 formation that I use with West Ham.
Was a local derby against Nice. Batshuayi's strike put us ahead after running onto Barrada's through ball to score. Thauvin got his first goal on the score sheet with an strike outside the box to put us 2 goals up. Got his second goal in 2nd half with an strike after beating his marker to smash it into top corner while facing the goalkeeper. Pisto got badly injured after being badly tackled by Gomis which resulted him getting second yellow card and sending off. After the match, he was confirmed to be out for 5-6 weeks with strained knee ligaments injury
Ligue 1 table
Pretty happy where we are in the table
