A Unified Adriatic Super League.

Ever since I've been playing FM (A long time, maybe too long) I've been crying out for an Adriatic league, a throw-back to the old Yugoslav First League. There has been attempts in the past but it has never quite been right. Unfortunately I'm not to savy with the Editor to take it all on, on my own - so I'm hoping that there are some Editor Wizkids that might wanna take up this challenge and give it a go. I think this would really appeal to a lot of people out there.

I want to start this thread, to hopefully kick start a little project to set this up... a discussion to start with and a forum to discuss what is the best way to go about things in the creation.

So without further a do, I'll start with my first thoughts on what this should be like... again this is all up for discussion and i encourage any input anybody might have.

The Countries...
The Adriatic Super League will be made up from 6 countries:
Serbia
Croatia
Bosnia & Herzegovina
Slovenia
Macedonia
Montenegro

I feel its important to keep all of the national teams and player nationalities, the last attempt at this league created a Yugoslavian team and nationality and I didn't think it was realistic.

The League
The Adriatic Super League could look like this:

Jadranski Super Liga

04. OFK Beograd
05. Dinamo Zagreb
06. Hajduk Split
07. Rijeka
08. Lokomotiva Zagreb
09. FK Sarajevo

It's an example of what I feel the first set up should look like with a broad spread of the current best teams across the nations.

Number of European competition allocations (Champions League/Europa league)?
Number of teams Relegated?

The Second League
Jadranski Prva Liga

Much like the Super League with the lesser stature teams from the spread of nations.
I envision it to look like this...

Below The 2nd tier I was think that it should be regionalised back into the nations, with 1 team from each Regional league entering the 2nd tear every year, this would mean 6 teams to go into the 2nd tier although I'm not sure wether it should be a straight swap for the bottom 6 or they should partake in a playoff system with the bottom 6. - another discussion point.

The Cups
Obviously there has to be an Adriatic cup to accompany the league, this would be called 'Kup Maršala Tita' (The Marshal Tito Cup) This would very much be an FA cup of the 6 Adriatic Nations.

Following this would be an Adriatic Super Cup (Winner of Adriatic Super Liga vs Winner Kup Maršala Tita)

Up for debate:
Regional cups for teams of each Nation, only if fixture list overload could be avoided: a Croatian Cup, a Serbian, a Bosnian, A Slovenian etc etc... this would mean that Crvena Zvezda for example would play in the Kup Maršala Tita & a Serbian Cup for example with the other Serb teams.

So thats my rough thoughts, I'd appreciate the thoughts of anyone out there that would be interested in this or just FM fans in general, how much of this is possible in the editor? what problems would we face?

I'd also like the Adriatic Super Liga to be quite lucrative to enable the growth of these clubs long term.

Edd, you are a hero!! what did you manage to achieve? did you keep the players modern nationalities? (Serb, Croat, Bosnian, etc etc...)

Nope, I changed their nationality. All(most rep) play for Yugoslavia NT, the rest play for their original country.

is it possible to make the league but to have all the players playing for their origional countrys? I'm not trying to make Yugoslavia, just a super league of its former nations...
