Hi guys,

Obviously the arsenal team at the start of the game is way, way off being an invincible team.

My question is, who would you recommend for a new Vieria in the midfield to lead the team?

Also, no left backs can mark in the squad...any suggestions for a new Cole?

I was looking at Bender and Baines for these roles but they'd be around £25m each. Arsenal have £30m to start plus after selling all your bench warmers (Chamakh, Santos, Arshavin, Diaby, etc) I might have enough?

Wanyama, Tiote, M'Vila there's plenty of options available.

I purchased David Santon for about £10mill and he turns out great, assistant report marks him at five stars.

M'Vila is as stated a good choice, with Wilshere and Ramsey becoming pretty incredible players assuming you give them plenty of first team football, I'd suggest that you buy a midfielder specifically for the DMC role, Frimpong turns out to be pretty crap.

I bought Koke for that position, although in fairness despite having plenty of technical skill, he isn't the greatest defensive asset.

Check out Gary Medel of Sevilla.

The new Veiria is easily 'Kara' on this version of FM, check him out... he starts at Tromso and is highly sort after but available for about £3.3m. incredible stats for the position you are looking for.

As for LB, if you dont have the money to go all out for Alaba (FC Bayern) I'd look to sign Manuel Pamic (Sparta Prague) as he is very cheep and very talented at 25 he is ready made for Prem action but you might want to back him up with Jerome Roussillon (Sochaux) very cheap and with incredible potential, ease him in behind.

Sissoko from Toulouse has been fantastic as a box to box midfielder for me at Newcastle.

Aye, try Moussa Sissoko I've loved him at Newcastle too, got him for about 9m too, transfer listed by request at the end of the second season.

Victor Wanyama had a 4.5 star potential for me when I started a quick game as Fulham, so he might be decent for Arsenal while not spectacular.

Yann M'Vila is your best shout.

Aye, I'll just add in to the M'Vila recommendations. Rômulo from Spartak Moscow and Fernando from Grêmio are two other alternatives.

As for a left-back, Santon is probably the best one available.

You could try Casemiro from Sao Paulo for your DM and Diego Renan from Cruzeiro as a LB and he's a great choice as he has decent stats, he's 21 and he can play as a RB WBLR and ML i believe so he provides cover for other areas as well as being a great first choice LB

In my Arsenal save I've signed Davide Santon as my first choice left-back, who's been pretty solid so far (signed him in 2013, about to start 2014/15 season). He never seems to play out of his skin but his average rating is just over 7 and didn't cost me too much. I'm yet to buy an out-and-out, Vieira-style enforcer but have brought in Marco Verratti as a defensive-minded centre-midfielder. He's still young but is improving.
