Coach/Scout star rating problem

I am currently playing with Wrexham in a online-game with my friend.
Suddenly in the middle of the second season, the coaches feedback on the squad depth gives
all the players a half star (previously 3-5 stars). The same happens if I scout a player.
I have tried scouting on Rooney, the scout also give him a half star. I have tried to retire
myself and create a new manager without success. Can someone help me?
