The TV Thread

While everyone has been hyped with GoT coming back (I lost interest in it during last season), the real glory that come to light is the release of Daredevil. I've binged watched the entire thing over the last few nights and it's hands down one of the most engrossing first season of any TV show, period. And quite possibly the best comic book based TV series to date. Good to see something with grit and a far darker undertone than what is usually served up within the genre. Fingers crossed it's continued into a second season and beyond.

Watched the first two episodes of Daredevil. Didn't like it at all.
Pretty poor in every aspect, imo. Directing, writing, acting.

Not for me.

Not for me.

First couple of episodes are a little on the slower side and builds the story. It picks up over the next few once more of the characters come into play and the fight scenes begin.

Each to their own though.

Thankfully they have 10 episodes instead of 8 this year so they don't have to rush stories as quick

The beauty of HBO Nordic is that I get everything aired by HBO and everything they've licensed within 12 hours of it airing in the US.

Yeah I reckon so. Quite a lot of tits in it this season too, compared to the last, gets quite interesting, though there's some tedious story lines in there.

Top Gear won't last after the next series imo.

They'll probably lose quite a lot of viewers, mainly ones who only watch it for the comedy that Top Gear brought under Richard, James and Jeremy, and i believe that to be quite a significant audience. I reckon they'll lose more than half of their worldwide audience overall, although they may pull a few million viewers that are "curious" about what format the show will be.

Then Richard, James and Jeremy will announce a new car show to wipe the floor with and then Top Gear will end shortly after.

I did.

First 30 minutes or so were pretty bad tbh, they were really beating the viewers heads with the characters back-stories but things got a lot better in the second half.

Only problem that I've seen mentioned about them going to ITV as opposed to Netflix, is that there's always a chance they could upset advertisers for ITV by slagging off their product (i.e. a car) on their show; although I'd hope everyone would be big enough to realise it's just piss-taking.
