"Fly-Tipping pizza crusts, holding up motorway traffic to conduct a blazing row with an ex-girlfriend and beating down the door to his own flat. That's Nile Ranger - a footballer with plenty of talent but whose lack of self-discipline is destroying his career" - This is the first part of an article in the Daily Mail newspaper about the talented 23 year old who has recently got a smiley face tatoo on the inside of his bottom lip.

He was also arrested early in his career when he was at Southampton for being pictured with a gun, which resulted in his contract being understandably terminated.

He has been quoted to say that this was a "blessing in disguise" due to the strikers at Newcastle who tried support him, the likes of Demba Ba, Papiss Cisse, Mark Viduka and Michael Owen. Michael Owen especially saw potential in the youngster despite being arrested and gave him advice but Nile Ranger did what he wanted and carried on with his normal ways, which eventually saw him being released from Newcastle following three unsuccessful loan spells with Barnsley, Sheffield Wednesday and Swindon. This season, Blackpool gave him a chance. His form started to pick up after the appointment of Lee Clark, however he went AWOL for around 8 months, with manager Lee Clark having not seen him and asked people if they had seen him. He returned to training but wasn't very popular, unsurprisingly. At the end of the season, 17 players from Blackpool were released but Nile Ranger, who hadn't played since his disappearance in November, had a clause is his contract triggered which extended his stay at Bloomfield Road for another year. Yet again, he was not happy, because of his wage of £150 per week. He is currently trying to get his contract terminated at Blackpool as the new manager Neil McDonald telling him he doesn't have a future at the club. However I intend to get Nile Ranger to reach his potential and try to get him to make an appearance for England, whilst also saving Blackpool from the downwards slope and pitch invasions by getting them into the Premier League.

Very interesting challenge. Not a fan of the kid but wish you well on your journey. I look forward to seeing if he can get that cap.

Thanks, is going to be quite difficult as I can never find a tactic that works with the lower leagues. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

This is Nile Ranger. I will be looking to play him in as advanced position as possible in order to get him firing in the goals department. He is currently on the smallest wage out of the first team. Will be looking to make the most of his good strength and acceleration as they are both quite high.

With the Media predicting we can come 6th, I will be aiming for slightly above their expectations, however I haven't had much luck managing in lower leagues before...

To start of the season, we played Sheffield United. After Nile Ranger put us ahead on 18 minutes, a strange incident occurred which hasn't happened to me this year. As soon as he scored, it said I got a red card. in the same minute Ranger scored Charles Dunne, my left back got a red card. There was no highlight for it, it just happened. Anyway, we lost 3-1, despite Sheffield not looking up for it before the red card.

We played Hartlepool in the 1st round of the Capital One Cup and we got the win as expected, with the goals coming from former Liverpool youngster, Michael Ngoo, and Nile Ranger.

Another early red card cost us against Rochdale. Nile Ranger gave us the lead on 38 minutes, however much like the Sheffield game, my backup left back filling in for Charles Dunne, got sent off 1 minute after we took the lead. Then 1 minute after the sending off, Kwesi Appiah scored for them. Despite an excellent free kick from Andrea Orlandi, we couldn't hold on as the snatched the win in the 89th minute. Following the game, I fined Clark Robertson 1 weeks wages and he didn't like it so i terminated his contract and brought in a better left back...

Our first win in the league came against Chesterfield, the goal coming from the new first choice left back, Ibrahima Sory Camara who scored a rebound on 71 minutes.

Against Port Vale we didn't turn up for the first half with Sam Foley and Michael Brown both scoring, in the 22nd and 28th minute, respectively, making it 2-0. So at half time, I changed the tactic, and we dominated. They didn't have a shot in the second half however we only managed a draw with Liverpool's young centre back Lloyd Jones scoring late from a corner and the club captain, Jose Miguel Cubero scoring a 95th minute penalty. We had 19 shots 10 on target at the end of the game, they had 5 shots 4 on target.

The 2nd round of the Capital One Cup was unkind on us, we could of got Accrington Stanley, instead we get Stoke. Anyway our goal came from former Everton youngster John Lundstram on 62 minutes. It was a close game with us both having the same amount of shots on target and just edging the possession.

The Final Game of a disappointing month saw us lose to a pretty poor Scunthorpe side, who we dominated again, but our strikers, Michael Ngoo in particular, not being able to finish. [b]Paddy Madden completed the smash and grab mission on 85 minutes[b]

Following this poor month, we find ourselves in 17th. With the Johnstones Paint Trophy coming up, I am aiming to do well in that to make up for the early exit from the Capital One Cup.

This is Nile Ranger, following one months worth of football. No stats have changed however his value had risen to £900k. He hasn't had the greatest of starts, but then nor have the rest of the team.

Didn't do too much in the transfer window, just needed a few players as the reserves was all made up of youth players, who might just cut it in League 2.

INS:

Bertrand Traore - The very highly rated Chelsea youngster, came in on loan, without me having to pay any of his wages, since he has got here, he has got injured twice so has only managed 3 starts.

Darnel Situ - Came in on a free as a first choice centre back, after his contract with Swansea expired. Looks fairly solid, has managed 6 starts so far.

Esteban Lopez - Is always in the trialist teams at the start of the season. Has decent potential so signed him on a £250 a week deal. Played for Newcastle before us.

Ibrahima Sory Camara - Didn't need a left back, but after 2 league games, both my left backs had red cards and a three game suspension, Clark Robinson being the unlucky one getting his contract terminated as a result. However signed him and on the same day he signed, he scored the winner against Chesterfield. According to his history, he hasn't played a game in three years, since playing in the Belgian Pro League for Eupen.

Jack Stacey - Signed him on loan from Reading, however since signing him, I have changed my tactic, and no longer have wingers. Training him to be a right back, failing that, I will terminate his loan.

John Lundstram - Was on loan at Blackpool last year in real life. He was on trial at Oldham in the game, however, and I needed a new central midfielder to replace a youth player. Scored against Stoke, but fairly average other than that.

Larnell Cole - Signed him originally to be a right winger, however his versatility means he doesn't lose his place due to the change of formation like Jack Stacey did. Plays in the AM role as a shadow striker currently but no doubt that'll change, because I can't find a tactic that wins me games.

Michael Ngoo - The 6'4" target man was on trial with us up until the season started after his contract with Kilmarnock expired. Signed him on pretty cheap wages, and only wanted the hot prospect squad status, despite becoming 22 next month... Not complaining though as he isn't really that good yet, his first touch and finishing at 8 and 10 is one of his down sides. Hopefully will become good soon though.

William Troost-Ekong - Spent last season on loan at FC Dordrecht from FC Groningen. Played for Tottenham before Groningen, however, and has potential to play in the Championship, if we ever get there... Can also play DM if we need him to.

OUTS:

Clark Robertson - I always fine a player if they get sent off when we are winning and after they get sent off, we throw it away. Charles Dunne was fine with it, but this guy wasn't. Didn't want an unhappy player here, or a player who lost us the game and didn't think he deserved a fine for it. Queen of the South picked him up, and has started his career back in Scotland well.

Staff Changes, for anyone interested..

Away from transfers, we have struggled, and I am putting that entirely down to not having a good tactic. If there are any that anyone knows of, please let me know, because at the moment I am fighting at the wrong end of the table and risk being sacked already!

We got our second win of the season against Colchester. Gary Madine, a loanee from Bolton, scored the decisive goal in the 68th minute. Deserved the win, they rarely came close to scoring.

A decent 1-1 result away at Peterborough, although they are also struggling by their standards and find themselves 15th. Shaun Brisley got sent off early on for them, however when tireless midfielder, David Norris but them ahead on 71 minutes, I feared defeat. However, Gary Madine, again, getting his 2nd goal for the club in as many games, in the 84th minute. We should of won, but yet again our strikers aren't finishing enough chances. They had 4 shots to our 13.

Our poor form continued as we managed another 1-1 draw this time against Barnsley, the only positive being that Nile Ranger ended his goal drought in the 90th minute. Yet again, we edged the game but scoring is still our downfall.

The penultimate game of the month was away to Doncaster, who are the highest up the table out of all the teams we have played so far this year in 6th. The 3-1 defeat was an annoying one, as their stiker Curtis Main grabbed his first 3 goals of the season, the last one being an error by Colin Doyle, our goalkeeper, who ended up receiving a passback from Darnell Situ, and kicked it into the back of Curtis Main, completing his hat trick for him. Bertrand Traore scored his first goal for the club in the 82nd minute, in another game we should of won.

The last game was another away game this time against Wigan Athletic. Gary Madine grabbing a brace, but they were cancelled out by Grant Holt's brace. A draw was, if anything, harsh on Wigan as they dominated.

After another poor month, we found ourselves just above the relegation zone. Our form needs to change otherwise I could be getting the sack before Christmas, Nile Ranger also needs to improve if he is to get his England cap. 4 goals in 12 appearances in all competitions in League 1 isn't going to cut it.

Nile Ranger has endured a tough start to his Blackpool career, with nothing changing yet again, to his stats. His value changed again, this time falling £75k. After 3 goals in 3 games, it seemed as if he was going to score a lot more, but having not scored in over 10 hours before his 90th minute strike against Barnsley, it doesn't look like he is going to challenge the top scorers list.

I say keep it here, its a good idea for a career and also rather entertaining. Hopefully others will attempt similar things with similar players.
