Random memories on Susie include:
- excitement when appointed mod together with Jono and Captn Blade
- running the series of SQLs. Didn't expect much from them so pleasantly surprised that they went down relatively well
- debating 'weighty' issues esp over anti-Americanism with Uncle Sam (it was Bush's neocon era afterall)
- sadness when the original Susie closed. First time it struck me how much I had invested in it and how much it meant to me
- making friends with fantastic people including JP, THOTW and erm, Fantastic
- taking the piss out of Stan Petrov and VP. Looking back it was rather childish of a 30-something like me, and I'm not too proud of myself over this
Yup, so I'm 42 now. Life has moved on. Bought FM2014 but found that it's getting more convoluted for my taste so didn't play much. Still into quizzing though.
All in all, nice memories
Shedender
You're in your 40's? I always thought you would've been 20-something.
Franck
I banned you once.
Poe
THOTW now theres a blast from the past.
Footyslayer
Good times, I'm sure there is a way back to that...
*Edit*
One post?!! All those years wasted

Hello
Footyslayer
Hey, it has been many years. I don't recgnise the username, apologies. Should I?
Hey Poe, I'm a bit intrigued to see how the place is getting on. I thought we would discuss it over drinks but that didn't happen

I was Bobber many years ago, but no, probably not.
Franck
That old man still owes me a pint!
Footyslayer
Yeah anytime!
I remember you Bobber, although my memories of the last few years of my time on forums isn't as strong as my memories of the earlier days!
Sam
Blast from the past! Good to hear from you.

Such is life.

Then people started getting ripped for humour, threads being banned from being discussed for 'advertisers', Cliques started to form and people bullied off for no reason (Aaron Meadows was absolutely superb though)
Once certain members started to agitate for things their own then it slowly died off. The thing that made Susie great was her open discussions as you mentioned. A milder form of Tumblr if you will.
Whiskeyclone
What up Waytey. You taught me to hate pop music, like how DJ Sprinkles taught me to hate Madonna.
waytey
Ha! DJ Sprinkles is the (wo)man.
FYI still obsessively listening to music of all kinds although I go to more DJ sets than most things these days.
Whiskeyclone
Same! Hendo was right, everybody gravitates to dance music eventually.
I mean, how can you not, right? It's literally the frontier of music - especially PC Music, everything Sophie's shit so far is 3D rendered gold.

The only 'humour' threads that were ever ripped on here (that I can remember) were the sub Dapper Laughs level of 'bantz' (and Dapper Laughs is about as funny as a flesh eating disease), and the babe thread had to go, as it google blocked us from google ads, which threatened the site's viability. Also, are we really so hormonal we need a FM fansite to ogle lasses? There's a interweb full of all sorts or pervery, go there.
