People of FM lend me your ears (and opinions)

I have somewhat lost the passion for the game this year. No team seems to be jumping out at me to take them to the promised land of silverware and financial spoils.

This is where I need your help!

I need a team outside of England that has a good chance on winning their own league but not a team that sticks out like a saw thumb (Bayern Munich, Real Madrid etc) please help me rediscover that passion that i've misplaced for this glorious game!

I enjoy playing as Skonto Riga in Latvia (You will need to download a Latvian edit though) They are one of three big teams domestically along with Ventspils and Metalurgs and compete in the Baltic champions league each year. The winner of which gets a bye to the third round of the actual Champions League's qualification.
You should win the Latvian league fairly easily but the real challenge is in Europe as no Latvian club has ever made the group stages.

How about Leverkusen? I won the league first season with them myself.. Some great players like Andre Schurrle, Lars Bender and Sidney Sam! Also somewhat surprisingly they have never won the Bundesliga in their existence so the challenge is definitely there.. their finances are pretty poor and deteriorate throughout the season but after winning the Bundesliga I was given around 20m for the 2nd season.. I was beaten in the Europa League final by Spurs on penalties too, so if you get your tactics right you could probably take them further than I did.. I could do a few screenies if you'd like!

Genk are a good team to manage, battle it out with Anderlecht , Brugge and Standard, Belgiums quite fun to manage in.

FC Redbull Salzberg, brilliant team to play with in the Austrian league! Quite a fun league as a whole too!

Go for Galatasaray. The Turkish Superleague is one of the most interesting and you will definetely not entirely dominate the league,as Besiktas,Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor are sure to provide stern opposition

Napoli are the side I usually go. Expected to finish around top 6 but a couple of shrewd buys and you can challenge for the title provided you manage their key players well. They also have a number of good youth players coming through such as Lorenzo Insigne and Eduardo Vargas.

Red Star Belgrade (Crvena Zvezda with real name fix) in Serbia. Not the most dominant in the league in recent years, losing out to rivals Partizan but over the past few FMs I've enjoyed a few good saves with them. Other than that I'd second the suggestion of Ajax.

I'm having a good save with Partizan Belgrade at the moment they have a good squad to win the league with in the first season.
