I'm just waiting to secure conformation that we have been promoted so nothing has been secured yet.

Can guarantee that I won't win the SPL first season as that will probably go to the other side of Glasgow, I would love to win it but can't see it.

This was a month that saw us complete an incredible treble as we finally returned to the Scottish Premier League following a disappointing draw with Raith Rovers, we also had League Cup success after a monumental victory over bitter rivals Celtic - second best throughout but I'm delighted to win it.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/wKVRFAKzYbMMcJTXqRp4QvuPrIYttnn4JelmY1iO.jpg

Motherwell in the Scottish Cup quarter final started the month of March but despite playing well we were unable to pick up a victory and had to endure a replay at Fir Park.

We headed to Fir Park for the replay just a couple of days later and once again we played well but struggled, a single goal from the penalty spot on fifty one minutes from substitute Sandaza sealed victory and a passage to the semi finals were we'll face Inverness, I think.

Back to league action as we hosted Raith Rovers in what was a mixed encounter, a disappointing score line saw us stutter to a one all draw. Rovers took the lead on fifty four minutes when Ngoo side footed the ball into the back of the net after he was picked out but Templeton levelled on sixty seven minutes. The point was enough to secure the league title and a return to the Scottish Premier League.

Next up was a tricky game away to Livingston as we celebrated a two goals to nil away victory thanks to a first half double from Nimely.

And the month concluded with the Scottish League Cup final against Celtic and a packed Hamden were treated to an excellent game between the two fierce rivals, it was goalless at half time in a half that Celtic dominated but I still fancied by chances for success and we were rewarded in the sixty fourth minute when Nimely found the back of the net, Celtic continued to press but failed to score and we won the League Cup.

Champions. We will be playing SPL football next season and I am absolutely delighted.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ZXp2egqaL99UpPyw2HOBoWSaV2ZvQf7KcWtnRNRK.jpg

Conformation that we were confirmed Champions after just thirty games following a score draw against Raith Rovers at Ibrox in front of thirty eight thousand, seven hundred and seventy six ecstatic spectators as club captain Faure lifted the title and Rangers' third title on the spin.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/rnkrToV9csecosVHmpzZgsPHKKPuNSsDvLH9HOll.jpg

Fifty two thousand and sixty three fans jammed into Hamden Park for the League Cup final and we won the trophy thanks to a single second half goal. Largely second best, I am absolutely chuffed that we have won the trophy for what I believe is the second season running.

You left out the Challenge Cup too, I know it's not as big but ffs don't forget it.

I will win the SPL.. eventually. It probably won't be my first season back but I am sure it'll be eventually.

Thanks pal. Three promotions on the bounce is an excellent achievement no matter how big the club is. I'm also surprised we managed to win the Scottish and League Cups especially when we were in the Second Division.

A one hundred per cent record happened in April as we secured three league wins out of three and we also progressed to the Scottish Cup final.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/vhmHWnwgMgTe0uTzUdWQ6a7LGH5hep67tVUA1iJs.jpg

An eight goal thriller away to Morton started the four match month and we came out on top thanks to a five three victory as Bennett opened the scoring on four minutes, Templeton and Shiels added further goals in the first half while McKay and Bennett added goals in the second half to complete the scoring.

We then cruised to victory over Inverness Caledonian Thistle, a three nil win saw us score twice in the space of five minutes through Bennett and Templeton before Nimely added a third on fifty seven minutes.

Another three nil victory was secured as we won at East End Park as two goals in the space of a minute from Templeton and Bennett had us two up at the break and then Faure headed home a third early in the second half.

The month ended with a home success over Queen of the South with both the goals coming in the opening twenty three minutes through Templeton and Hendrie.

We are twenty one points clear of second place Hibs at the top of the table and just two wins away from making the one hundred points tally and six goals from making one hundred goals.

May saw just the two league games played as the season came to an end and it was a depressing end to the league season as we only picked a single point from six available but we also lost the Scottish Cup final against our bitter rivals.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/xuzR9X7INQ68PsuCTMftnkN6XQMIEhvkTqdkovL1.jpg

We hosted Ayr in front of a over forty eight thousand strong crowd but we couldn't entertain them despite Shiels giving us a thirteenth minute lead but the visitors levelled the scores and had the better of the game and perhaps should have won.

And the season ended with a horrible two nil defeat against Hibernian at Easter Road, it was a game that entertained the almost twenty thousand crowd but the home side took their chances, we didn't.

Our final game of the season was against Celtic and another thrilling game was won by the Scottish Premier League side, despite Templeton giving us a fifty fourth minute lead The Hoops scored three times without reply to win the cup.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/wlefC7LQX6hYlvR2edwmvUCuTgZy7iVBVfBRL63q.png

We won the league comfortably despite a shocking final two games.

You don't seem to mention the game against Hibernian that I actually won, wait, no I think I did beat them at least once.

It was a poor ending but I do kind of blame the injuries to the defence as I had to throw two players in who weren't fully fit for the final against Celtic and I am just pleased they didn't end up more injured, it also didn't help that I also had a centre back on international duty so I am glad they were available, kind of. I am going to need to buy more defenders so I can cope with injuries.

It's become that time of year again when the season expectations and fixture list our announced. We are about to embark on a SPL journey that I expect to be tough following three straight promotions from the bottom playable league in Scotland to the top. Can we survive? Only time will tell.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/mJ2AJM9zirPfMUxla9tSwbRxdPKJLEbYZN7avW54.jpg

The board are expecting us to at least qualify for next seasons Europa League through a league position and that's the expectations I've gone for as I definitely don't think the team is good enough to challenge for the title, this season and I don't want to put myself under unneeded pressure by attempting to qualify for the Champions League.

So with me saying that I believe we'll finish in a Europa League position the board have given me a three and a half million transfer budget that I probably won't even dent.

Life back in the Scottish Premier League starts with a trip to Partick Thistle before back to back home games against Dundee United and Hearts while our last game before Christmas is on the road to Dundee.

Our first game in twenty sixteen is at home to bitter rivals Celtic before making the trip up to Inverness. Our last three league games before the split are at home to Inverness Caledonian Thistle, away to St. Johnstone and home to Motherwell.

Please note: The draw for the Europa League first qualifying round was also made and I've been drawn against Norwegian side Viking. Should we progress then we'll face a second qualifying round tie against the winners of Dila or The New Saints.

We made just the four summer acquisitions ahead of life in the Scottish Premier League while we lost two players who headed back to their parent clubs following loan deals and we lost a star player who headed south to England and I was not amused. We also participated in four pre season friendly games due to us playing in Europe.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/sMOuob1pYTeZC2sb52OOgbB5TesBjiGSwK01J4Wm.jpg

Our first signing of the summer was Dinamo Zagreb star Pajvot who has cost us one hundred and thirty thousand pounds, which will be an absolute steal if the kid fulfils his potential. Only fifteen-years-old the central midfielder has been rated as a potential five star player.

Veljkovic completed his deal after signing a pre-contract back in January and the nineteen-year-old has joined from English side Gillingham, the young defender is already an under twenty-one international with Serbia and made five appearances last season for the Gills, he's expected to see some first team football but he'll be predominately back-up this season.

Twenty-two right back Flanagan has arrived from Liverpool after signing a pre-contact. It was a signing I needed to make as I had lost Hurst who headed back to his parent club in the summer and I'm believing he will become my first choice right back ahead of the new season.

And our last signing saw FC Twente left winger Cabral who has cost just over half a million from the Dutch side, he's only twenty-four-years-old so I could have him for at least a decade if he remains a quality player.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/sMOuob1pYTeZC2sb52OOgbB5TesBjiGSwK01J4Wm.jpg

We only made one major departure and it was one I was quite annoyed about as we lost star winger Templeton to English side Sunderland for only two and a half million pounds. The fee had to be agreed because it met his release clause. I tried offering him a new deal but he wanted £23 thousand a week, no chance.

I've also let Argyriou and Crawford depart the club on-loan as they've joined Hearts and Barrow respectively while I've released Stella, Gallagher and Gormley as they'll never play for me and are rubbish.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/D5J5G9fJzE5UHHcYAevUCB5nbQqKENnsgBLsghDO.jpg

We played three of our four pre season friendlies at Ibrox and the first was against Russian side Spartak Moscow and we suffered a single goal defeat as former Everton star Bilyaletdinov scored the winner just before half time before we played Sparta Prague at home and second half goals from Balanta and Nimely sealed victory despite Psotka pulling a goal back in stoppage time.

Our last friendly at Ibrox was against Manchester United and they deservedly won three two as Nani opened the scoring before Black levelled on the half hour but the English Premier League side retook the lead through Hernandez but we levelled for the second time through Faure before Kagawa won the game in stoppage time.

The final game was our only away game against Albion Rovers and they took the lead through an own goal as Black accidently put the ball past his own keeper but Balanta levelled early in the second half before reserve striker Kane scored with eleven minutes remaining.

The opening month of the new season started with us playing five European games and no league games. We started against Norwegian side Viking in the first qualifying round before entertaining Georgian side Dila and then played the third qualifying round first leg tie against Slovenia side Olimpija.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Sp8qyORMJFGJASTNoHEmvDRIFjM7xihVtZGPxogI.jpg

Our first competitive game of the new season saw Viking visit Ibrox for the Europa League first qualifying round, first leg and it was a straight forward performance and result as we ran out two nil winners thanks to MacLeod and Sandaza who struck in either half at a packed Ibrox.

We then travelled to Norway for the second leg tie and picked up another two nil success to progress four nil on aggregate as a double from Nimely on three and sixty two minutes secured the passage and a trip to Georgia to face Dila in a match that we should progress from.

The first leg, which was played in Georgia saw us slip to a humiliating defeat as two goals in the opening twenty two minutes from Gogatishvili and Kikabidze had our travelling support in shock but Nimely pulled a goal back sixty seconds later and despite dominating we couldn't find an equaliser and when we did, Nimely saw his effort ruled out.

Dila came to Ibrox with the lead as they looked to progress but we eventually progressed thanks to a five one home win that saw us progress six three on aggregate and we took the lead thanks to Aird's goal on five minutes but they equalised on thirteen before Faure restored the lead and then an own goal ten minutes before half time turned the game around. Central midfielder Black added a fourth before Faure's second wrapped up progression.

And the month concluded with a trip to Slovenia to face Olimpija and despite playing very well we managed to slip up as Borko broke our travelling supports hearts with a goal in the second minute of stoppage time. I have no doubt we can pick up the win at Ibrox to advance but we need to stop doing it the hard way.

I've also announced a new signing, which should be my last one this transfer window.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/mx6LLFmfwgnQsP6Zy9Aje2CWH8uZEhvafxzwh3a3.jpg

Arriving at the club was twenty-three-year-old Costa Rican Bustos who has arrived from Saprissa for a steal of just six thousand pounds. The central/attacking midfielder has already won a staggering fifty seven caps for his country and managed to find the net seven times while Bustos has also played eighty four times for Saprissa before his switch.

It's going to be a toss up between him and Aird for the starting spot, will probably let Shiels leave.

Cheers pal. We didn't deserve to lose those two games against Dila and Olimpija as we played extremely well throughout, I will need to try and address the away form. I can't wait to finally play some SPL football since our opening day trip to Partick Thistle was postponed, the season now starts at home to Dundee United.

Seven tough matches faced us in August as our league season finally got start against Dundee United while we also had Europe to deal with. It was an exciting month as we scored seventeen times and conceded nine in the games but suffered two annoying defeats.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/nV0owXGdkLlUROAJkmeJrfH8Gp4HeW8tZrNEgyr9.jpg

A gruelling August month started with the Europa League third qualifying round second leg encounter with Slovenian's Olimpija at Ibrox, with us trailing one nil from the first leg we had to win and we levelled the aggregate scores up and took the lead on the night in the eleventh minute through Cabral before the same man doubled the lead just before the twenty minute mark. Second half goals from Bustos and Nimely saw us safely through.

Finally our league season started with a home game against Dundee United who came to a packed Ibrox and both sets of fans were treated to an eight goal thriller that saw us come out on top in a five three win, we quickly went two goals up inside the opening quarter of an hour thanks to MacLeod and Cabral before Nimely struck in the twenty first minute to make it three nil. A dream start to life in the SPL got better as Bennett made it four nil just after the half hour but United pulled a goal back just before half time and then a second early in the second half before Bennett added a fifth. Bawab bagged a third for the Tangerines on seventy three minutes.

We then faced a tough home game next as Hearts came to Glasgow and a crowd of just under forty seven and a half thousand saw us make it two wins from two games as we took the lead in the eighteen minute as Nimely opened the scoring but we then gave away a penalty for the second game running that Prychynenko converted. Our side were then in trouble as summer signing Flanagan was dismissed for two yellows but we picked up three points as Black scored the games second penalty with four minutes remaining.

Next up we were back in Europe as we took the trip to Belgium to face Club Brugge and despite dominating we suffered another disappointing away day in Europe as we slipped to a two one defeat, despite us taking an eleventh minute lead through Cabral we then gave away a third penalty in as many games that Zimling put away and then Vleminckx, on thirty five minutes scored what turned out to be the winning goal.

We made the trip to New Douglas Park to face Hamilton Academical and despite being second best throughout we managed to pick up the points thanks to two goals in first half stoppage time from central defender Faure and striker Nimely, the hosts halved the deficit on sixty eight minutes as Marrow struck.

A crowd just shy of fifty one thousand roared the team on to a three goals to one Europa League victory over Club Brugge as we broke the deadlock in the thirteenth minute when left back Hendrie curled home a wonderful finish but the Belgian side made it one all early in the second half before Bustos and Nimely sealed our progression to the group stages.

The month ended with a disappointing defeat away to St. Mirren as we have started to stutter away from home, Carey scored the winner for the home side on eleven minutes as we were second best for the second away league game running and that needs to be addressed.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/8C7NdUyR8r1fPS7TyVXhfRlgaGDq6udARzxSQqI1.jpg

I shouldn't complain as it's been a good start to life in the Scottish Premier League as we're currently third and with a game in hand against Partick Thistle.

Europa League form could be better if we actually won away from home, only done it once despite dominating all the games but I'm sure another away win in Europe will be coming, eventually. It's been a good start to the SPL but should you be shocked? Don't think we'll win the league as Celtic look unstoppable early on (which is a shame) and we need to start playing better away from home, two away games and we've been poor in both.

September saw us start our Europa League group faze with a trip to Dnipro while we had a League Cup game and three league fixtures to take part in. It was a solid enough month minus the final game that saw us crash to a deserved three one defeat at the hands of bitter rivals Celtic.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/myCwP5LqnYIOGHZ3zQk2v2CvmxMatdwroO3RQQi4.jpg

We started the month with a home game against rivals Aberdeen and could only manage to pick up a point as we took the lead in the thirty second minute as Coleman fortunately for us put the ball past his own keeper but former Blackburn striker Derbyshire rescued an undeserved point for the Dons.

Our first game in the Europa League group stages saw us make the long and daunting trip to Ukraine to face Dnipro and we returned to Glasgow with an impressive two nil away success thanks to a goal in each half from defender Faure and left winger Cabral.

Dundee came to Ibrox as we returned from European duty and we didn't suffer a European "hangover" as we picked up a three two victory and the packed crowd saw us take the lead in the tenth minute thanks to central defender Faure and our other defender Neumann headed home a second on twenty six minutes but just five minutes later Dundee halved the deficit through McAllister before McKay restored our two goal advantage but Dundee scored a second goal, from the penalty spot with nineteen minutes remaining after Flanagan fouled - McIntosh converted the spot kick but we held on.

We then started our defence of the League Cup with a home tie against St. Mirren and we advanced to the fourth round following a three one home victory over the Buddies. All the goals came in the second half at Ibrox as Nimely scored twice in between a Bustos goal while Miller got St. Mirren's consolation. We had to play the final eight minutes with ten men after left back Wilson was dismissed for two yellow cards.

And our final game of the month saw us suffer a depressing and disastrous defeat to bitter rivals Celtic away from home as the league leaders ran out three one winners and truth be told it could have been much more as our performance was completely unacceptable. Duo Russell and Forrest had the home side two up before our Canadian central defender Gasparotto pulled a goal back but former Cardiff midfielder Ledley sealed the win. The defeat was sealed as soon as we were reduced to ten men with seven minutes remaining, former Newcastle defender Tavernier was dismissed for two yellows.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/i45GDyShqZKbnvWbOU4nVL6LoeCvtmRVZpkGXmwg.jpg

We're in fourth place after our opening seven games (some teams have played eight as you can see) and yet we are already nine points behind leaders and rivals Celtic so I definitely can't see us wrapping up the league title this season, not that I wanted us too anyway.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/CCmZRB8QEFFvEPHXUlUlvJWL9zFMlIA45cdxCqsc.jpg

After the opening round of Europa League group stage action we are in second place following our impressive two goal win in the Ukraine while our opponents next Getafe lead the group after beating Spartak Moscow three goals to nil. They're definitely favourites for the group while I'd love to at least come second and get through.

I've also announced two new signings who have arrived at the club with immediate effect as they're both free transfers.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/aGwd7VbXkQK4ScuVJ6cc0DmDGY5jjJI1HaEgLNoD.jpg

Barslund was the first to join the club and he's a twenty-year-old goalkeeper who was previously on the books of Danish side Brondby were he only made one league appearance for the senior side while I believe he's also got two under twenty one caps for Denmark. I'm hoping he can be the (at least back-up) replace Alexander who is expected to retire in the summer.

Our second and last signing to currently join the club was former Liverpool central defender Wisdom who is a twenty-two-year-old English man who never made the cut at Anfield and I'm not sure how much game time he'll get currently as we've got Neumann, Gasparotto, Faure and Veljokovic however I'm thinking of off-loading Perry as I don't think he's played much under my regime.

Six games were played as we faced two tough European games at home against Spaniards Getafe and Russian giants Spartak Moscow as well as three league games and a League Cup quarter final clash with rivals Aberdeen at Ibrox.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/EeeTeWYQpflAGznMVXLASANsN80imwwD2XAChc08.jpg

And the month started with Spanish side Getafe coming to Glasgow for a Europa League group game and the Spaniards ran out deserved four one winners as Kramaric got the visiting side off to a dream start with a goal on three minutes before Abraham doubled the lead. Nimely's goal turned out to be just a consolation as Abraham's second goal of the night and a Dani goal ensured a big victory.

We returned to league action with a tricky trip to St. Johnstone and we picked up a hard fought two nil win as central midfielder Black converted a penalty on the half hour before Faure added a second with nineteen minutes remaining on the clock.

Next up was a home encounter with Butcher's Inverness Caledonian Thistle and the crowd that was just short of forty thousand saw Caley Thistle pick up a shock away win as Connolly and McAusland scored in between a Bustos goal to ensure a two one away win and send the travelling support home happy.

Russian side Spartak Moscow then visited Glasgow for the third group game of the competition and we shocked them as Faure opened the scoring after thirteen minutes and it remained like that until Bustos doubled the lead on the hour mark but former Everton player Bilyaletdinov scored four minutes later and it ended up being a tense finish.

Our next game was a League Cup quarter final affair against Aberdeen away from home and we picked up an impressive three one away win as we look to defend our trophy and the home side missed an early penalty and were made to pay for that as Nimely broke the deadlock on thirteen minutes but O'Sullivan equalised on eighteen. We retook the lead when Bustos scored a wonderful goal and then Ramsay capitalised on a mistake from the keeper to score a third on sixty three minutes.

Motherwell visited Ibrox to conclude the month and an even game ended 0-0, not even much to say.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/NrVOmsd1aKxNej6dzM3hzmOzc7xn0a5nXxy9WqAa.jpg

Come the end of the third month of the season and we're in fourth place but only goal difference is separating us and third place Hearts, while a point is separating us from fifth place Hamilton. The league will be heading to the green side of Glasgow that's for sure as it would take a monumental mess up for them to lose the title.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/PyscJl0NPDp97MB2WsRxVoWGtDVw3VvTkji39KN1.jpg

The Europa League table has us sitting comfortably in second place after the second and third round of games and we're a nice five points ahead of both Dnipro and Spartak Moscow. It's still going to be extremely tough to qualify from this group.

Absolutely but I still don't want those pricks winning the league, understandable though.

I still won't be confident in getting through that group until it's confirmed, still a lot of football to be played and I still have tricky trips to Russia and Spain coming up.

We had to face five games in November as we had to make a long trip to Russia for an Europa League games while we also faced three league games and a Scottish Cup trip to Livingston.

It started with a daunting trip to Moscow to face Spartak and we slipped to a single goal defeat with Kombarov scoring the winner with just over a quarter of the game remaining and truth be told the Russian side could have score much more as we barely played, especially in the first half.

We returned to league action with a home game against Partick Thistle and we beat them four one in an entertaining contest at Ibrox with attacking midfielder Bustos opened the scoring on nineteen minutes before Nimely bundled the ball past the Thistle keeper for our second goal but the away side pulled a goal back through Doolan shortly after. A third goal was scored just before half time through central defender Neumann and then substitute Aird added a fourth on seventy four minutes.

Another entertaining game was next as we made the trip to Tannerdice to face Dundee United and we picked up a two one win in a game that could have went either way and it started perfectly whenever summer signing Pajvot scored his first goal for the club via the underside of the bar but the home side equalised on twenty five minutes whenever a ball across the box was touched home by McGoldrick but Nimely won us the game early in the second half.

Our next game was one to forget as we made the short trip to Partick Thistle and they demolished us four nil as two goals in four minutes from Doolan and Gros had the home side two up at the break before Gros completed his hat trick with two goals, including one penalty in the second half. We were completely brutal and I wasn't accepting it.

A Scottish Cup fourth round trip to Livingston ended the month and we advanced to the next round following a two nil win, with confidence shot after a humiliating defeat at Thistle it was important we picked up a victory and despite struggling central defender Gasparotto headed us into the lead before McKay side footed home a second with five minutes remaining on the clock.

That hiding suffered at Firhill by the Jags hasn't done too much damage to the league table thankfully as we're third after thirteen games and that's were the media expect us to finish so it's so far and so good but I'd love to exceed that as I normally do.

We need to try and score more goals as both McKay and Nimely are struggling so I may need to sign an experienced goal scorer in January. We are thirteen points behind leaders Celtic.

With two group games remaining we are still not assured of progression, unlike Getafe. We are only two points ahead of third place Spartak who beat us in Moscow while Dnipro, who look to be out of the competition can still progress with serious luck.
