GreekExpress: Good back are important in the tactic. I have a good Left back and a decent Right back. Not surpricingly most of our attacks goes over the left side.
An other good month. After a disappointing draw against fellow promotionist Savastopol, we got a victory by two goals from Igor Tymchenko over Tavria. With the 2nd team on the pitch for the cup match, we managed to get a result aswell. And resting the first eleven helped in getting an other win over Vorskla by a late goal of Wellington.
At the moment Igor Tymchenko has a subscription to the goal of the month price. Picking it up for the third time in a row, and also scoring two third places.
The finacial situation keeps deteriorating. We slipping down 200k a month and I don't see a way to raise it. I am afraid it waiting till the board either solves it or forces me to sell. Lets hope for the first!
GreekExpress
Tymchenko surely knows how to score a goal!!

Dan: We are certainly doing better then I dreamed off. We have the habbit of scoring a lot of goals late in the game (8 goals in the last 10 mins this far) giving us some exstra points.
This month we started up with a very important game against league leaders Dynamo Kyiv. Basic it was to see where my team was realy at. And they showed us. They where better on all parts of the field and just outplyed us. We went down 0-4 before scoring a consolation goal in extra time. Now its was up to team the to show how they handle bouncing back after a defeat. And they did magnificent. With a good all around preformance we got a 0-3 victory away from home. So our confidence didn't take a big dent from the Dynamo Kyiv game, and we continued our good run Vasyl Palagnyuk scoring the fastest goal ever for us after netting in just 21 seconds. Setting us up for an easy 2-0 win. Against lower league Desna we had a real scruppy game then went 0-1 behinde and lost a player to two yellow cards within 27 minutes. Still the scored one on the counter, and it took us to the 89th minute to score the winner. Next up in the cup quatre finals are bottom of the league Vorskla.
Dynamo Kyiv seems unbeatable this year and top favorites Shaktar also passed us on the table but we still look darn good at 3th. So one month to go till the long winter break. And then I hopefully know what the board is deciding about the financial situation. But until then I am just going to enjoy this marvelous season.

We contunue to preform above expectation in the league. First there was the goal galore match against Metalurg Zaporizhzhya, with a quick hattrick by Wellington at the end of the first halve. Next match we started of great getting a 0-2 under 30 minutes. But before the break they where on even terms again. The team went into the break devastated, and we coudn't get back on track losing 3-2. We crushed Chornomonets the next match, altho we failed to put the game beyond doubt until the extra time. Against Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk we welcomed Igor Tymchenko back in the starting eleven, and he repayed me with a hattrick. So heading into the winterbreak we are heading towards Euro qualification in the league and still around in the Cup. Dynamo Kyiv are from an other planet this season till now.
I already did one deal for the comming transfer period. I signed a decent right back, Ucha Lobzhanidze, as I only had one that could play that position.
And eventho my finances are still horrible the board is very pleased with what I am doing. I'll just have to wait and see, how this is going to be handled, because I can't see an easy way out. And if things realy go soar, there are enough job available.
GreekExpress
Shame about your finances, but hopefully there will be a good bonus to come at the end of the season.

I had organized a good number of friendlies as that is not normal in the Ukrain, but I like my players match fit for the second season halve.
We ended the first halve very pleasing and Wellington picked up the foreign player of the year award. Further did i manage to renew all contracts of the important players and did sign three new Ukrainian players for next season.
But then, as expected it started to rain. Due to the financial situation the board decresed the wage budget. Not that it does matter much as I was under it quiet a bit, but now I am slightly over. But further I can't see how this will improve the current financial mess. So I'll just have to wait and see.

An important month passes away, leaving me flabbergasted. After playing most direct competition for the 2nd spot (played the number 3,4 and 5 this month) we are still going strong. We are 5 points clear of the number three with 6 games to go. Most of them against teams underneath table halve. 2nd Place will give Champions League spot. which could me help out of the financial mess. Lets hope my boys can keep there heads in the game this season, as last season we gave away a certain looking 1st place, in the last 5 games.

Your defence looks strong - how is the new right back doing?
Dan
Dyrim
GreekExpress: My new right back is doing fine when he plays, trouble is that he got 2 reds in his first 4 matches (1 straight), but now he is back on track and playing great.
Dan: THanks, we are doing amezing until now, unfortunatly its seems to fall apart again at the end of the season.
A real horror month again. It looks like my team can't take the preasure. In the Travia match we where much better then the opponents and we finaly took the lead at the 71st minute, but we gave it away 4 minutes into stoppage time, dropping two very vailable points. Against Vorskla fot the league same image, we are much better and get the lead late (81st minute) just to give it away again at the final whistle. The less important cup tie against Vorskla the team show they also can win easily. Next was a calculated loss against Dynamo Kyiv. And against Goverla was uneventfull match with only 3 shot on target between the both team combined. This made me slip away from the Champions League spot, and to make things worse we drawn Dynamo Kyiv in the Cup semi-finals. And ofcourse Euro-qualification was way more then I hoped for at the start of the season, it now feels like a consolation price.
On the financial side thing don't improve and the board has given a cash injection, which is way to low to solve the risen problem. So now I am starting to think about moving clubs. I'll will surely look what is availeble at the end of the season, but will not rush into rash decisions.
Dyrim
We couldn't pull an upset in the cup semi-final. We started good with Celsinho hitting the bar from a free kick, but shortly after Dynamo Kyiv got two cheap penalties (matchfixing?) and then crushed all hope that might have been left by curling in a great free-kick. A counter goal made it 4-0 before the removed the foot on the gas and allowed us to regain some confidence 4-1. Metalurg Donetsk made a real blunder giving us a goal on the halve time break. 2nd halve the overrun us hitting woodwork 4 times, but failing to score. But the good news came from the Avengard stadium in Lutsk where Volyn held Shaktar to a draw. So back in the Chapions League spot we went into the last game. The player looked realy up to it and played very well. It took us until the 52nd minute to pull infront. But somehow to level 4 minutes later. fortunatly Shaktar was also still level, but that chanced at the 77th minuted when they scored the winner. But our good play forced our oppenent to score an own goal, and shortly after we finished off the game. Securing Champions League qualification spot. That ended a realy amazing and beyond expectation season.
Ending the season three of my players made the team of the year. Teco; Celsinho and Wellington. Wellington also scooped up the top goal scorer award for the second year running.
financialy the board injected an other donation. Not that we are out of the woods yet, but it helps. If we manage to qualify for the champions league the club realy can move forward.

Dan: Its was very pleasing, 2nd in the league and semi-final in the cup don't think I can do that again this season.
The board had giving me the choose for upcomming season. A) Euro-league Qualifiacion; B) Champions-league Qualifiacation or C) Champion! Not realy much of a realistic choose, I probably did to good last season.
I didn't do much on the transfer market. I got a potential new first goalkeeper and a definite first team defender. Ohter are back-players.
Financialy nothing much chanced, last season the board had to inject a total of 1.5Mil to cover the running cost. If I dont get a succesfull Euro season this season will probably the same, or even worse as I spent more on wages then last season. Altho I am within the budget set by the board.
And to be succesfull in Europe I have to take a big hurdle. I didn't draw the worst but not the easiest team either. Good thing, if I lose I will still play in the Euro-league first round.
GreekExpress
The teams looks good apart from the two backs and there isn't enough depth: try to work your "magic" again this season.
Dyrim
Only 2 matches in July, we got a good 3-1 win at home over Vorskla at the season openener. Fenerbahce was a couple of sizes to big for us. So, now i have to see what kind of draw we get in the Euro-league.

Dan: Its always good to start the season with a win, but its only one match in. Lots can happen still
First match of the month the only thing we got where 5 bookings, we failed to score and gave away cheap. Next up we went for the miracle at the Busporus. But it was never on the cards, so back to the Euro-league. We drawed not to bad getting Israelia site Hapoel Tel-Aviv. Against Dnipro we went up 2-0 fast, and we reacted imidiatly when they tried to get back in the game 3-1, all our goals scored by Wellington. But at the end of the match things looked to turn bad the made the 3-2 at the 82nd minute and the 3-3 at 88th. But Wellington wanted the matchball of a winning game. And gave us the three points two minutes into extra time. An other late goal saved a point against Karpaty. A fine preformance against Hapoel Tel-Aviv put us in a good spot winning 2-0. Against Arsenal Kyiv everthing went wrong. we got up 1-0 but a mistake by the keeper, an own goal and a total fluke put us back 1-3, disillusion hit the team letting in two more. Travaling to Hapoel with good spirit, defending 2-0 lead. Just before the break we found the break trough Wellington scored and did it again just after the break, so with them needing 5 goals now we let it slip a bit, letting them win 3-2. A good display against Shaktar away made sure we didn't slip down the table to much, but we are not in the form we had last season in the league.
Atleast the qualifacation did help out with the financial mess we where in. And we where also drawn into a decent group. I don't expect to go through, but if we run lucky nothing is impossible.

We hard time getting things going in the league, we went up 1-0 Chornomorets, but immidiatly gave it away again. But in the Euro-league we where brilliant getting a 3-1 win. Back to the league it was 1-1 going into the action packed 10 minutes. We went infront on 85th (1-2) and the 90th (2-3) but still it wasn't enough to win. In the cup we got a decent win with a lot of the 2nd eleven on the pitch. Then finaly we got a league win in, with Wellington scoring 4 times.
Dyrim
Dispite our full fixture list we still manage to keep going in the Cup, also our next draw is rather friendly. So I hope we can get to the Semi's like last year.
In the Euro-league we still have chances in our own hand. After the good win over FC Twente last month, this month we go a away draw against Genk. We went behinde 1-0 because my keeper was impeded and fumbled the ball, the ref didn't see a foul in it and Genk tabbed home. I had to sub the keeper due to injury so I felt a bit hard done. But we came back and snatched an away point. Rubin was to strong for us, we did went ahead but it was all short lived and we couldn't cope with the preasure. We need a win against Genk at home and a result away by Twente and we are set for an other roud.
In the league we keep battling our way up, Two wins and a draw from four, with the loss coming against Dynamo Kyiv, we did okish and moved up a little bit. But would love to get closer to 2nd/3th place.

Gearge: We drop a lot of points at the start of the season in the league, but our form is picking up.
Our good form continues in the league. Against Metalurg Donetsk we kept a point at home disite falling down to 10 man. The we got an amazing victory over Rubin Kazan in the Euro-league. A great win over Metalist Kharkiv, the league number two, put us up to 3th in the league. Two more "easy" wins followed, before Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk banged in 3 goals in 25 minutes, and eventho we clawed back two it ended the month on a slight down. But bigest worry at the moment is that Wellington is looking towards a move to a bigger club. And I have hold him down for a year, I think I have to let him go now.
Dyrim
December only held Euro-League fixtures. And as it turned out it was good we got a good result against Rubin at home becasue FC Twente realy pushed us to the limites. We got a draw against Twente as I hoped for, so a copy of the Twente result in the final day would be sufficient. Twente did win against Rubin so we had to take the win against Genk and we did. But only just.
The next round draws where not in our faviour. So it probably will end here.
GreekExpress
Congratulations on advancing to the knockout phase of the Europa League - Sporting is a touch draw, but if they are equal to Twente, you can make it through.
Any thoughts for the January transfer window?
