It took me a while to get going in my first season in charge, with a lot of unrest and a run of poor results early in the season. Prior to the Xmas fixtures I seem to be on to a winner. That's keeping The Posh in the Championship.

George Boyd has been a huge disappointment so far this season and with his contract due to expire at the end of the season and his valuation dropping from £3m to £1.7m in just a couple of months I have decided to hopefully cash in and stuck him on the transfer list.. Especially with a team like Posh any sale over £1m is a big deal.

2 players that stick out are Gabby Zakuani who is a rock in the heart of defense, and Bostwick playing central Midfield. Bostwick could have disciplinary problems though he has been on good behaviour since I fined him a weeks wages, touch wood it continues.

lloyd Doyley from Watford has been a poor loan signing and with his wages glad to see him leave in a few weeks. Eggert Jonsson from Wolves is a obvious talent for the future and will be a solid defensive midfielder in a couple of years.

Couple of youth prospects for Posh are Jaani Gordon who has just turned 17. Worth keeping an eye on and Peter Grant who got the first team nod after a couple of Scotland under 18 performances and has been superb. One to watch.

Now I have the early game out the way I will publish more updates.

Being tested as Zakuani is off for the African Cup of nations and Bostwick has broke his leg. Transfer window has just opened but very limited budget. Need to get rid of Boyd.

7 games to go and 2 pts above Ipswich in relegation this was a must win game.

I was relegated with 25 minutes to go on the last game of the season.

Only needed to win at home to Sheffield Wed to stay up but drew 1-1. Which may have been enough had crystal Palace failed to win by 2 goals or more away to Cardiff.

With less than 25 mins to go Palace were 1-0 up needing to score another goal and I was 1-1 at home to Wednesday. Once I saw Palace get the second goal I knew we had to win then. We couldn't make it happen though. I did approach the game cautiously as I knew it was a big ask for palace to win at Cardiff but it wasn't to be.

The penultimate game for us was away at palace where we drew 0-0 with plenty of chances to win. A win there would of secured survival. A season of what ifs, some late goals and penalty decisions against us cost us those few extra points in the end.

Got offered a 2 year contract so must of impressed overall. Just didn't pick up enough points in the second have of the season.

A few players put in for a transfer request once we were relegated so I was happy to except. Never want players who don't want to be here. Also had to drop our wage budget by £20k a month which was probably the most difficult thing to do as nobody was interested in the key players that were transfer listed.

Eventually got the finances sorted come start of the season and was expecting to finish in the playoffs at least. Didn't fancy signing anybody as the team is pretty good and now after 20 games I am 2nd in the league behind Tranmere and ahead of Mick McCarthy's Leeds who are definitely the team to watch.

Tyronne Barnett has been scoring freely and Tommy Rowe is now an excellent central midfielder. Shaun Brisley at CB is the best player in the division and he will stay till the end of the season.

Newcastle are now an affiliated club which is handy as they are rich now. So I have a little player Amalfitano in attacking midfield who is very handy to have.

Just signed a cyprus international LB on a free 'Charalabous' he is 33 yo and thought the Xp would help out.

Now looking at bringing more staff in to stand us in good stead for next season hoping that we are a stronger Championship team than last time round.

Up the POSH.

Top of the table clash and we did well to come from behind late on and beat Tranmere and go top

Unlucky on getting relegated on the last day of the season, but hopefully you should get promoted this season.

Nearly threw away our promotion chances. Flying top of the league having only lost 1 in 30 but having reached the quarter finals of the FA cup when Spurs hammered us 7-2 we then had 10 games in the league to cross the line.
We could only pick up 1 win from then and dropped out the top 2 on the final day.

Play-off's it was and I didn't expect success either. 1st leg away at in form Brentford, they beat us 2-0. Decided I had to change my style and went for long balls with a target man and plenty of crosses. Went 2-0 up before HT, great back in with a chance. Second half started amazing, 4-0. Thought we were home and dry so took a couple of key players off and Brentford came back 4-2, 4-4 agg. Extra time it was and to my surprise we scored 4. 8-2 on the night and 8-4 on agg. Quite amazing.

Leeds were the opponents in the final and they had finished the season very strong and were also favourites to win the title. We went 1-0 down and bounced back straight away 1-1. Leeds had a few opportunities to re take the lead but right on the stroke of HT we got a crucial goal. Second half was then very bland and Leeds never really got going and we contained them quite comfortably. Great chance for Leeds at the end but we made it back into the championship, the hard way for sure.
