big problem!!!help!!

hi!
I have a very serious problem with fm13!
I contacted steam and sports inteactive but even there we can find a solution!
The problem is that I get
 
Can't find default database to use

The game I downloaded via steam and runs on macbook with mountain lion 10.8.2
With a simple google search the problem exists in many mac users from 2008 without answers.

I've done install- unistall -reinstall
clean restore format in macbook
I've verify files from steam

please help !

Can you load the database in the editor?
If so try saving it and then loading it in the actual game.

Hmmm, And when you verified the files did it re-download any that were missing?

Erm, the only other thing I can think of is to run it in compatibility mode;

- Close Steam
- Right click on Steam shortcut
- Click "Properties"
- Choose the "Compatibility" tab
- Uncheck the box "Run in Compatibility mode for"
- Click on "OK" and then start Steam

If that doesn't work I'm afraid this problem is beyond me and your best bet would be to keep hassling the staff over on the SI board to help you out.
